Energy measurement and management are amongst the major grid challenges and research efforts
have been geared towards addressing them. The emergence of smart meters in consonance with the
smart grid concept is as a result of these efforts. This paper explores the integration of Energy
Management and Control System (EMCS) technologies into smart meters to mitigate energy wastages
and ensure energy accountability. The integrated system presented in this paper leverages on the GSM
technology to provides a tripod communication between the meter, utility and the consumers. Results
from the system prototype show that the system offers the consumer the opportunity to make personal
energy budgets in line with the energy conservation, provides more consumption details than the
traditional meters and provides for the utility a better management platform of the consumer
component of the grid.

Well before I read this book, I actually did think about what the title could mean and why the author
wrote it so. Before I read this book I thought the book was about astronauts or something ridiculous.
During the book I had some ideas that The Fault In Our Stars meant a mistake or something that

mallets are hit on either side of the drum to make its booming sound. The snare and bass drum have
very different and distinct sounds. The snare drum is mainly rhythm based and plays sharp, quick
sounds, while the bass drum is used to keep the beat and plays longer, sustained notes. This is because
the snare drum head is stretched tighter than the bass head and the snare drum has a set of metal

Why Buck Should Be A Sled Dog
Some people would say that Buck should be a sled dog but, I think that he should be a house dog. He
is better off as a house dog because he had water, food, great shelter and he got the love that most pets
need. Judge Miller s place was an outstanding place for Buck to live. The only con is that, he didn t
get out much. Buck was always with everyone else so he knows that people really do love him. Things
were really similar and calm. The Judge offered him great stables, and long grape arbors. In the story
you can notice that Buck is treated like royalty in is domain. I can see how he can be Buck could be a

Stephen King Gothic Elements
Stephen King s The Boogeyman was my favorite piece of gothic literature that we read. I was trying
to figure the story out all the way until the end and had to re read some of it to fully understand. It was
suspenseful, scary, but also had a good story to listen to. The Boogeyman was full of gloomy settings,
monsters, characters in distress, and intense emotions. These 4 things are just a couple elements that
make up gothic literature.
The first element of gothic literature that I noticed in The Boogeyman was the gloomy setting. The
way the man described his house was chilling. He made it sound cold, haunted, and all around gave
the house a bad vibe. He says, I heard a noise in there one night. And then she screamed. I opened the
door real quick the hall light was on and. . . she was sitting up in the crib crying and. . . something
moved. Back in the shadows, by the closet. Something slithered. Here he is talking about his own
daughter s room and how something was in there and he did nothing. I couldn t believe that, his own
child was in distress and he was too full of pride to admit to his wife that he wanted to protect or baby
their child. Her room was described as creepy enough without the monster. The gloomy setting helps
show that this is gothic literature.
