Why Is Friendship Important In The Perks Of Being A...
Housna Batiebo
A true friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care to acquire. François
de La Rochefoucauld. A lot of people have at least one friend. Friends are sometimes needed in life.
This is important because friendship can help people. In the novel The Perks of being a Wallflower,
Stephen Chbosky proves the quote above by demonstrating that friendship is beneficial to protagonist,
Charlie who gains benefit from his friendships with his friends Sam and Patrick.
Friendship is beneficial to Charlie because it helps him realize that he was molested. Charlie s aunt
Helen was close to him in his childhood before she died. Charlie only remembers the good memories
with his aunt before Sam did something to help him regain his bad memories with his Aunt Helen. On

Before meeting Sam and Patrick, Charlie was an innocent kid who couldn t keep himself together. It
was when Charlie lost his friends that he realized that he needed them to help him sustain himself. On

ever since . Charlie started smoking drugs because he could not contain himself. After a while, Charlie
got his friends back and got better. On page 154 it says I was at a party with my friends so it really
didn t matter that much. I just drank because I figured it was about time to stop smoking . Charlie s
reconciliation with his friends helped him regain sustainability because he got his friends back. This
shows that Charlie s friendship helped Charlie sustain himself because he decided to stop smoking and
get himself together. Charlie s ability to stop smoking after getting his friends back shows that
friendship helped him maintain self sustainability which proves that friendship is

The Assassination Of Mother Teresa
It was September the 10th, 1964 and World war 2 had only just come to a conclusion. Mother Teresa
sat on a piping hot train, on a hot summers day in Calcutta. She tried taking up as little space as
possible to avoid being crowded which she was to a great extent and deeply swelter. She was on a
train from Calcutta to the Himalayan foothills for a retreat. On this train ride Christ spoke to Mother
Teresa. She referred to this as her second calling and in her words it was a vocation to give up, even at
Loreto where I was very happy, to go out into the streets to serve . I want Indian Nuns, Missionaries of
Charity, who would be my fire of love amongst the poor, the sick, the dying and the little children, she
heard Christ say to her on the train in those very words. You are I know the most incapable person
weak and sinful but just because you are that I want to use you for my glory. Wilt thou refuse? . A
sensation of happiness rushed through her, even though she had been called weak she was honoured.
She was very quick to share her vision with her supporters, friends and members of the Loreto sisters
that she worked with. She was questioned about her call, and all the intentions and aims she had for
doing it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It took much time, and patience. After nearly a year and a half of pleading, in January 1948 she finally
received approval from the local Archbishop at the time: Ferdinand Périer to be able to complete what
Christ had asked her to do. She immediately started working, and after 6 months of simple medical
training, she left for her journey for the first time into Calcutta s slums with no more specific goal than
to aid the unwanted, the unloved, the uncared

Since one office is in the center of the WAN, it would be the most logical location for the main server
headquarters. This main location would be home to six servers, two of them being print servers and
the other four each hosting their own specific applications to all of the workstations in the network.
The first of the four servers would hold the business management applications needed by any of the
accountants or human resource teams. The second would hold the medical managing software that
would hold all patient information, insurance, and bills that could be accessed from any of the 5 office
locations in the network for both doctor and patient convenience. The third will be used to host a web

Each doctor, nurse and member of the staff will have access to their own workstation, a Dell Vostro

Impact Of The Attack On Pearl Harbor
How did the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 turn the tide against the Japanese during World War?
INTRODUCTION
In 1933, Hitler became the Führer of Germany. His main goal was to rule over Europe by conquering
those countries as fast as he could, known as the Blitzkrieg. By 1939, he had invaded Austria,
Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia and on the 1 September, Germany invaded Poland. In doing so, Hitler
had broken the non aggression Pact with Russia and the ultimatum with the Allied powers. On 3
September 1939, the Prime Minister of Britain, Neville Chamberlain, declared war on Germany.
Japan had a similar mind set to that of Germanys, which was to expand into its neighbour s territory
and take over its import market (source F). Japan invaded China in 1937 and later on in 1940, they
signed the Tripartite Pact with Germany and Italy, which meant they were now a member of the Axis
alliance. The United Sates responded to this by imposing sanctions on Japan who was ... Show more

Japan had to plan the attack on Pearl Harbor thoroughly because it was 4000 miles away from Japan,
therefore America would not expect an attack. They planned to bomb the aircrafts that were positioned
very close to each other which made it an easy target (Source F). After months of planning and
practice the Japanese launched their attack, which was a total surprise. According to Source L, the
Japanese attack fleet left its home waters on November 26 towards Pearl Harbor. Vice Admiral
Nagumo, the fleet commander, received his final orders on December 1 and on Dec 7 the battle group
was in position, 275 miles north of Hawaii. Source B states that early military successes helped Japan
prepare for the attack on Pearl Harbor. Source B also states that the attack showcased Japan at its best

Essay on La Estrategia para Conseguir Sus Objetivos

Legality vs. Human Bonding in A Jury of Her Peers Essay
In quot;A Jury of Her Peers quot; Susan Glaspell shows how human bonding can override legalities
that society has. This is shown by Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters bonding with Minnie by understanding
her daily life as they are in her home. The two women feel a connection with Minnie because their
lives are very similar to that of hers. By the two women understanding and having a connection with
Minnie they notice the small trifles that leads to them finding evidence and motive for Minnie
murdering her husband.
Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters were only in Minnie s home for a short period of time yet this revealed to
them that Minnie was much like them. As Mrs. Hale was leaving her house to go with the others to
Minnie s house she noticed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

much of a housekeeper, would you say ladies? He kicked his foot against some dirty pans under the
sink. There s a great deal of work to be done on a farm, said Mrs. Hale stiffly. quot; (paragraph 80).
Mrs. Hale knows how much work goes into being a farmer s wife and doesn t like the county attorney
criticizing Minnie on her housework.
Mrs. Peters is the sheriff s wife and in the beginning of the story she believes that quot;the law is the
law quot;. (paragraph 143). As the story progresses, Mrs. Peters gains a better understanding of what
life was like for Minnie and relates with her after the dead bird is found. quot; When I was a girl, said
Mrs. Peters, under her breath, my kitten there was a boy took a hatchet, and before my eyes before I

Tribal Law
Tribal Law and Reconciliation in the New Iraq The main theme Katherine Blue Carroll s, Tribal Law
and Reconciliation in the New Iraq is regarding the unsuccessful attempts made by the Iraqi
government to enhance and endorse reconciliation between the two Muslim communities that reside in
Iraq, Sunni and Shi a. However, the futile attempts of Government of Iraq allowed tribal leaders to
reunite the Iraqi community through tribal law. The author s main theme is to portray the efforts of
Shaykhs in post conflict reconciliation (how tribal law works in Iraq in reconciliation) where state
authority disappoints to do so. The author conducts interviews with various Shaykhs to understand
how the traditional tribal law work in the new Iraq. She explains how the tribal law works and how it
has worked in terms of in Iraq to elicit peace in the region. One of the characteristics of tribal/chthonic
law that are represented in Tribal Law and Reconciliation in the New Iraq regarding tribal law in Iraq

some sort of norm for the civilians while they undergo a transition. I personally believe that people
adapt to change steadily. Therefore, it would smart to interlink ourselves with the tribe leaders and let
the traditional tribal law be implemented the way it is. Mainly because the difference and problems
between Sunni and Shi a Muslims are extensively impacting the peace in Iraq. If the tribal law serves
it s purpose to amend those relations in the region, it s beneficial for us and overtime when things are

Positive And Negative Effects Of Artificial Lighting
According to (International Dark SkyAssociation, 2016) Most of us are familiar with air, water, and
land pollution, but did you know that light can be a pollutant ? Most people think that light pollution is
misdirected light into the sky that affects our view of the sky, but light pollution is the result of overly
used, misused, or misdirected artificial lighting in the sky, on the ground, in certain areas within our
environment, and within in our homes. Although artificial lighting has provided a way for us humans
to feel safe outside after dark, see at night, attend sporting events, and advertise for our businesses
artificial lighting has negative affects to. There is an ongoing debate among society about the positive
and negative effects of overuse of artificial lighting. Artificial lighting is becoming a major concern
because it affects human s health, animals, and our environment.

Essay on Post-Soviet Government And The Free Press
The Post soviet countries have begun to build themselves from the ground up, with the hope for a
substantial future. As a result of the switch from socialism to capitalism the transition has brought new
challenges. In other words, the political democratic stability for the sovereign states became
inadequate. It had been standard to view newly democratic nations turned over and became more in
support of the western capitalist idea. Although, the new post soviet states are presumably embracing a
democratic ideology, it has been clear that it needs coordination to demonstrate that change. Many
people assume that to establish a democracy similar to the United States, you need to give back the
control of a nation to the people in the form of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I begin my research communicating the idea of stability is the absence of open conflict among elite
groups. Among all elite s there are many power struggles, but to keep these conflicts among
themselves their needs to be like mindedness, this in fact is a type of censorship to the public. To
elaborate more on this, Nils Wessell describes from his journal called, Limited Freedom of the Press A
Discussion that in, today s sense that Freedom of the press has been lost also reflects the absence of
open conflict among elite groups. Only such conflict creates limited freedom of the press. (Wessell,
46) This is an act of an authoritarian government; the reaction that it takes outside this elite group on
the public is an act of self preservation. In today s Russia according to Wessell there is this full on
authoritarian regime and it has begun to eliminate freedom of speech, and its adversaries. (Wessell,
46) I take these points that he makes as a description of a beginning of a relationship between society
and its government. Democratic as Russia may seem to be perceived, the movers and shakers of that
nation actually have too much power in the hands of few. I see the media, as an essential tool for a
society to have a democracy, but in the contrary the media can be an inappropriate tool to deceive the
public if controlled few. Societies choices would be based on controlled norms, where the definition of

The Great Debate About College Roommates
The Great Debate about College Roommates In most cases, for people who once attended college they
either consider it the best years of their life or a horror show. They may feel this way because of the
experiences they had, classes they took, or the people they met, like perhaps their roommate. In the
New York Times article, A College Education Should Include Rooming with a Stranger , Anna Altman
explains the effects of having a roommate in college. Anna Altman claims college freshman already
have a lot to adjust to in their first weeks, including the new living arrangements in the life of the
dorms and meeting a new person that now shares the same home as them. With the help of preference
options when applying for dormitory housing, the simple aspects of assigning two college attendees to
one room has improved over ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Altman adds that even though colleges try their best to make the match between roommates
as smooth as possible, it does not always work out that way for everyone during their first year away
from home. Altman suggests, ...that approach is no longer sufficient . She quotes Natasha Singer, also
a reporter for the New York Times, saying ...the problem of getting stuck with an incompatible
freshman year roommate can be expensive for the college. Moving students around within dorms can
be a headache, but there s even more at stake: the risk that students will be so unhappy that they might
transfer out of the college before sophomore year. The issues Altman presents through Natasha Singer
s words for unhappy roommates in college are both direct and indirect. Some of the horror stories told
by alumni are about the struggle they went through to find the right roommate after many failed
attempts of changing dorms and testing uncharted waters with a new peer. Some of these unfortunate
people consider the struggles too great and quit college all together. In turn, colleges lose tuition
money

Replace Textbooks Essay
Textbooks or Chromebooks?
Should we replace textbooks with Chromebooks? Schools across America are trading the traditional
tool of a textbook for the advanced technology of a chromebook or other form of gadget especially
computerized devices. This is based on the accessibility of internet for extra information, and tracking
on electronic assignments, as well as saving and accessing documents anywhere. Chromebooks and
tablets are replacing textbooks; this has effects on students performance because they are distracting
and affect the scores on students tests as well as cause health problems.
Gadgets are proposing distractions in the school setting. Phones and other cellular devices are
prohibited in the classroom because they are a distraction to the class s learning environment. In an
article by ProCon.org, a debating topic site, says, ¨... they [tablets, or electronics in general] are
expensive, too distracting for students, easy to break, and costly/time consuming to fix.... Tablets
contribute to eyestrain, headaches, and blurred vision, increase the excuses available for students not
doing their homework, require costly Wi Fi networks, and become quickly outdated as new
technologies emerge. These statements are purely based on opinion, but raises a great point. Students
are easily distracted by other other students, but more so than anything by electronics. Many schools
prohibit phones to be used in class, but other electronics are allowed. The same site says, Students

Consciousness And Thought In Virginia Woolf s To The...
It is through the element of structure that Virginia Woolf, firstly communicates her outlook in regards
to consciousness, speech and speculative thought. Woolf represents consciousness in her structural
employment of hyphens, which is used in order to show the mental process behind thought. Hyphens
appear mainly in compound words and the joining of prefixes, however, in the paragraph s inception
Woolf uses the hyphen to convey the merging of detached thoughts through the character of Mrs
Ramsey. Mrs Ramsey thoughts match her actions as she clearing up her son s cut out pictures he had
cut out a refrigerator, a mowing machine, a gentleman in evening dress children never forget , it is
solely through the employment of a hyphenated sentence, that Woolf is enabled to convey to the
reader that the latter thought Mrs Ramsey s conjures is retrospective. The action of tidying the cut out
pictures is interrupted by a recent memory of her husband s refusal to go to the lighthouse. This
sentence demonstrates one of the main aspects of consciousness and thought in To The Lighthouse.
The process of thought has no consecutive timeline or chronological order and can interrupt and
juxtapose physical actions, which makes the employment of the hyphen an important choice in
effectively depicting this often incomprehensible process. In addition to this, the hyphen dually breaks
the pattern of rhythmic, perfect, pre composed speech which is frequent in traditionalist literature,
whereas

Sonnet 12 Essay
In modern times, youth and beauty is an image seen everywhere. For example, a Versace billboard,
magazine ad, TV commercial, all of which displays images of beautiful people. But what happens
when this beauty fades? Shakespeare in his 12th sonnet talks about his experience and fading beauty.
The purpose of this poem is to encourage a young man to not lose his beauty to the ravages of time. In
order to do this, one must reproduce so beauty will live.
In the first quatrain, Shakespeare begins his meditation on the process of decay. He begins the poem
with quot;I quot;, which signals that Shakespeare will later give his own experience and account. The
first object presented in this sonnet is a clock, which is to set the mood of the poem. ... Show more

The idea Shakespeare tries to convey is that death takes everything. The violet was once beautiful and
strong but as time passes, the violet will age and become frail. Shakespeare proceeds to speak of black
sable curls hiding behind white. I have two observations about this line; the first being that as a man
ages he will notice more white hairs on his head. The man will lose the vibrant black curls he once had
as a young man. Second, Shakespeare may be implying to the young man that his hair too will become
gray.
Proceeding on to quatrain two, the poet continues to meditate by using images of decay; lofty trees,
barren of leaves, white and bristly beard. Just as time progresses, day changes to night, and the young
become old, summer becomes winter. In the warm weather, the trees were leafy and bountiful. They
served as a canopy that sheltered herd of animals from the blazing sun (L.6). In winter, however, the
lofty trees are now barren and stripped of their leaves. The outward appearance of the tree is pathetic
and unsightly. The herd of animals will no longer seek shelter under the trees because they look
lifeless. Shakespeare further elaborates the imagery of plant life decaying. Summer flowers are
beautiful and they exemplify life. However, quite the contrary, Shakespeare states that these flowers
are gathered together to be used as funeral arrangements and carried on the coffin over the white and
bristly

Understanding The Old Testament
Understanding the Scriptures, especially those in the Old Testament can seem daunting. There is so
much information in the Old Testament writings that deal with history and customs during that time
period. The storyline is comprised of the people, places, dates, and events. The Old Testament is full
of such details, often to the extent that the reader can be overwhelmed trying to master them (HW 27).
Understanding the history of the time period when the Old Testament was written gives a broader
view as to what was happening so we can better understand the Scriptures. This is important, but the
most important part of the Scriptures is how God reveals himself to us. The Old Testament reveals

Why I Want To Dance In High School
The anticipation as I stand in the concrete tunnel under the bleachers is my life s biggest moment of
uncertainty. Will the crowd stand on their feet in a standing ovation, or will the crowd deem me as
mediocre? As I look to my left and right, my teammates faces assure me that their nervous excitement
is identical to mine. When I hear the announcer on the loudspeaker and hear the students shouts, I
know it is time to walk on the sharp green blades on the field under the shining Friday night lights.
As a little girl, I would constantly walk on my toes. Because of this tendency, my parents enrolled me
in a beginner ballet class at the age of three. I learned how to walk like a ballerina, the art of pointing
my toes properly, and how to properly curtsy at the end of class. Throughout the months leading up to
the recital, my classmate and I learned a piece to perform, and I practiced in class and at home for my
parents and brother. On the day of the recital, I performed the dance perfectly in my green sparkly tutu
and the smallest size ballet slippers. However, I was disgruntled with the other baby ballerinas for
making mistakes on the stage. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

In addition to its flexibility, these databases provides horizontal scalability and distributed computing
that led to adoption of NoSQL databases in the firms. The SQL databases uses Structured Query
Language whereas NOSQL databases use Unstructured Query Language which varies from database
to database.
1.2 Features of NoSQL Databases:
Schema on Read: There is no definite schema on the underlying data in the databases and it leads to
high flexibility on the storage
Nonrelational: In traditional databases there are relations between the tables. For example, a list of
transaction details can be connected to a separate list of delivery details. With a NoSQL database, this
information is stored as an aggregate a single record with everything about the transaction, including
the delivery address
Commodity hardware: With a NoSQL database, cheap commodity hardware can be used. Adding
more of these cheap servers allows NoSQL databases to scale to handle more data.
Highly distributable: With a NoSQL database, a cluster of servers can be used to hold a single large
database
2. Different Types of NOSQL databases
There are many types of non relational databases but more often than not, they fall under one of the
following categories:
2.1 Document Model
In a document model, data is stored in documents. This uses a type of notation called JSON
(JavaScript Object Notation) and is closely associated with the object

Explore the way the writer presents the relationship between George and Lennie in Of Mice and Men
Of Mice and Men was written in the 1937 by John Steinbeck, he other well know books as the Grapes
of Wrath and East of Eden, h also received a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1962.
This book is set in the 1930s and set in California, his home region. During this time, the USA was
suffering from a great depression, this meant that it was hard to find job because the economy was
very weak, so to find job the men were disposed to go anywhere and the bosses would exploit their
workers.

The rabbits hurried noiselessly for cover. (Page 4 sound cover) From this we can learn that they will
never achieve their dream of harmony in nature, this is also a foreshadowing device
The readers gain a sense of the reason why the relationship of George and Lennie is important in the
novel, this reason is the way that it conveys the key themes. One of the major contrasts found in this
novel is between loneliness and companionship. George describes how ranch worker are the loneliest
guys in the world (page 15 the world/). This is because they have such a nomadic lifestyle to find jobs
during the different seasons of the year and because of this they are never able to settle down in one
place They got no fambly. They don t belong no place (page 15, they place). George continues saying
and reassuring Lennie many times in the novel that this is not their situation and they have got each
other and we can see this when he says with us it ain t like that. We got a future. We got somebody to
talk to that give a damn about us (page 15, with us about us) and Lennie also add But not us!An why?
Because .... Because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you, and that why (page
15 and 16, but that why) This back up Geroge saying that they are like no other ranch man.
Through the play we can see that Geroge becomes angry at his friend, Lennie, because he is forgetful
and get in to trouble very easily because of his mental disability. In

Health And Poverty Of Latin America
Maternal Health in Bolivia
Stephanie Spencer
Fall 2014
Health Poverty in Latin America
Section 1E Globally, maternal health is an issue that has not been given adequate attention in many
regions. Many women across the world are unable to avoid many preventable health consequences of
pregnancy, which are usually extreme enough to result in death. In the Latin American region, Bolivia
has some of the worst maternal health care systems, due to the underdevelopment of healthcare
practices, insufficient political and social concern, and a lack of public awareness. Maternal deaths are
attributable to risks caused by pregnancy and childbirth themselves, as well as from the lack of proper,
good quality health services (Khan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Giving women control over their fertility could, alone, reduce maternal deaths by up to 20 35% by
minimizing pregnancies to the number desired (Khan, K. et al., 2006).
Furthermore, educating the community about region wide healthcare issues, i.e. facility hygiene
methods and contraception practices, has not been a concern for the La Paz district, or for Bolivia in
general. In a sense, the primary causes of maternal mortality from unsafe abortion are not only
excessive bleeding or infection but, rather, a failure to recognize the severity of these circumstances
and the necessity for reform (Grimes, D. et al. 2006). The public deserves a more direct access to
healthcare facilities, principally in rural areas in which access to health care is remarkably limited.
Most of the clinics and hospitals (responsible for performing these abortions) currently existing in
Bolivia require additional financial support and substantial developments ( Child and Maternal..
2014). The Bolivian government has neglected to fulfill its responsibility of recognizing the
fundamental right of its people to receiving adequate healthcare, and has not made substantial
improvements to instill safer abortion methods.
Hypertension
Besides abortion difficulties, there are a variety of medical complications that pregnant women are at
risk of having. Some of the most prevalent illnesses affecting child bearing

Relationship Between Empathy And Narcissism
Where did we make a wrong turn in our society regarding ethics? If students think that ethics and
codes don t apply to them, what structure do they have to base any decisions they will make in the
future? The attributes theme (specifically the focus on the person, self absorption, and the role of
narcissism and self centeredness played in ethics violations) was the most influential aspect of this
research, in my opinion. It expanded my knowledge base on the lack of ethical thinking that possibly
exists in Generation Y, students born in the 80s and 90s. I have three Generation Y children and it does
appear that they all struggle with ethical decision making. It s not because they were not exposed to
sound moral character modeled around the house. Was the lack of parental involvement while growing
up? I don t think so. I ve seen my own kids go off the deep end after conducting themselves
unethically. They were brought up with loving and kind parents who provided more than they could
ever ask for. Perhaps that is part of the issue....the kids today have too much and didn t have to earn it?

Narcissism is on the rise in kids today. One study found that one in four young people were classified
as narcissistic, according to a widely accepted psychological test. That number has doubled in the last
thirty years. Another study reported that since the 1980s, there s been a 40% decline among young
people in empathy, a personality attribute inversely related to narcissism. In nationwide reports, it
takes teens longer to get ready in the morning than at any time since we ve been studying this topic.

David being a skeptic doubted a lot of concepts, one of these concepts was the concept of personal
identity. Hume believed that there is no such thing as a personal identity that resembles the core of
people s true selves that is unchangeable throughout life. Hume believed that people s identities are
bundles of different properties and perceptions, and it is impossible to picture someone without these
properties, same way it is impossible to picture the sun without light. Hume argues that the reason
why most people believe that personal identity is unchangeable is the misinterpretation of self
awareness, Hume believes that humans could never be truly aware of themselves, but through
experience using their senses and imagination they might think that they are truly aware of
themselves, but they are only aware of their surroundings. Therefore, it would be sound to conclude
that Hume s theory of the self is a critical aspect of David Hume s philosophy as it helps shape his

relationship with his daughter to try to teach her how the real world is. Throughout the movie the main
character Angelo known as snaps always wanted the best for his daughter Lisa; he wanted her to

pregnant. The tone to Oscar is anger, disappointment and a little of understanding. Angelo shows
anger towards all the men Lisa cares for, also to his employees when they lost the suite care with
money several times. Lisa on the other hand was disappointed several times. She had to tell her father
how she s in love with someone she knows she can t marry. Another disappointment she had is she
finds out she s not the only child. The music used in Oscar was very interesting it had a little bit of

Billy Collins is one of America s foremost poets born March 22, 1941, publishing more than ten books
of poetry, and organizing the Poetry 180 Project. Introduction to Poetry by Billy Collins, written in
1988, was part of the Poetry 180 Project, along with other poems, as a way to encourage poetry

Collins Introduction to Poetry is written to describe a struggle many English professors experience

Which means that his students should not read a poem in the darkness, or he/she will not be able to

Once you have found its true colors, you have found the intentions of the poem and its meaning.
Therefore, Introduction to Poetry is written to define a struggle many English instructors face when it
comes to instructing poetry, because he states how he asks them to read a poem. Introduction to
Poetry, Collins defines a struggle many English instructors experience with their students, by
describing how he wants his students to read poetry. In the following lines of the poem, Collins is
comparing a mouse to a student:
I say drop a mouse into a poem And watch him probe his way out (Collins 5 6).
He wishes students were like mice when it came to poetry. He is saying that a poem is like a maze, of
which we must probe our way out of by deciphering its puzzle or meaning. It might take some time,
but with a persistent and motivated attitude you will finish the puzzle. Once a student deciphers the
puzzle, Collins stated that students will master a

Serial Killer Characteristics
Serial Killers are a product of their environment rather than result of the genes they were born with.
Parental and peer abuse is the main contributing factor in the shaping of a serial killer. Serial killer
traits can range from physical abuse to bed wetting in the adolescence stage of their lives. During the
adolescence stage the abuse can make more of an impact on the molding of the serial killers
personality. Modern serial killers are a product of their environment; factors such as; physical and
sexual abuse, bad parenting, and poor education made them become the modern physcopathic killers
of their time. In my first heading I talk about serial killers most common traits. These traits include;
wetting the bed, physical abuse, emotional ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
New studies show that bed wetting can be related to arson and animal cruelty in some way. 57% of
serial killers have been known to wet the bed until and unusually advanced age. Bed wetting is a very
common thing for a child to go through at a young age in my opinion, but when a parent puts too
much negative emphasis on the act it can become social debilitating for the development of the child.
In media the stereo typical serial killer is thought of as this child that is isolated from the other
children in the classroom. What media does not depict it s the causes of the isolation such as; moving
around a lot, malfunctioning parent child relationship, or the child has been put into a foster home at a
young age. Lack of ability to hold a relationship can cause numerous problems later on in adult life
such as; not being able to hold a job, not being able to sustain a long term relationship, having issues
with fitting into the social norm . when not being able to develop healthy relationships with other
companions is can lead to the child and their adult outcome, becoming involved in theft, arson, and
assault. Hostility, aggression, and complete disregard for human rights can be an emotional outcome
due to isolation as a child (Barnard, 10 Most Common Traits of Serial Killers). So in the end whose
fault is it really the parent and the peers or the actual genetics of the child,

An Investigation into the Management Styles and Communication Systems within the NHS.
Management styles The literature surrounding the concept of management is wide and extensive.
Mullins (1987) highlighted, management is fundamental to the effective operation of a working
environment. Furthermore, the literature of Brookfield (2000) as well as Mullins (1987) further
highlights, conceptually the overall duty of management can be seen as the attainment of a given
objectives of the organisation. Although it can be argued, organisations can only achieve their goals in
accordance to the collective effort, and implementation of the right management style and workforce.
Therefore, the literature is suggestive the concept of management style is defined as, the method of
implementation a recurring set of characteristics, decisional process of a firm in relation to mangers.
(Poon et al, 2003). Ultimately, throughout the literature there has been a growing interest in
identifying
individual differences between managers, and the linking of management styles to the work setting,
therefore deriving upon the concept of different managerial styles (Stamp, 2007). The Research of
Stamp (2007) affirmed four key concepts to different managerial styles and their application.

How Is Winston Churchill A Hero
Ever since his victory in World War II, Winston Churchill has been considered one of the greatest
military and political leaders of all time. He has been remembered for his determination, motivational
speeches and wartime leadership. In particular, the success of the evacuation of Dunkirk, and the
defeat of Hitler have been remembered as two of his greatest achievements. However, Churchill also
made a number of mistakes throughout his career, which have now been mostly forgotten. The best
example of this, is the failed Gallipoli campaign, which ended in complete disaster. However in spite
of this, Churchill still remains thought of as one of the greatest leaders in history, because of the

According to Oxford Dictionary, the definition of perfection is The action or process of improving
something until it is faultless. In art, the striving for perfection has always been changing back and

include Marcel Duchamp s Fountain, and Damien Hirst s The Physical Impossibility of Death in the
Mind of Someone Living. Through Duchamp s work, the viewer gets a face to face interaction with

John Berger plays with this idea in his article Ways of Being. Essentially in that text he makes the
argument that duplicating an artwork, makes the original artwork have less of an impact on the
consumer than it would if it were not replicated. He gave an example with the Mona Lisa and various
other artworks. In seeing so many variations of the Mona Lisa, such as in print, on television, in
movies, printed on t shirts, et cetera, there is a hype that is built up about the original artwork.
However, when gone to see in person, the piece essentially lets the viewer down because it could not
live up to the standards that the replicas set for it. However, there is still the idea brought up in Berger
s writing that states, One might argue that all reproductions more or less distort, and that therefore the
original painting is still in a sense unique. This idea opens up the gap that Lacan introduces in his
writing, The Ideal I, between the original object and its other. In this case, the other being the
duplication. It is interesting that Berger s ideas connect to Lacan s ideas under this umbrella. In
searching for the perfect artwork, can the original be the one of true perfection? This relationship
between perfection, duplication, and idealization is very tricky to concretely take a stance on because
they are all so subjective. However, the relationship is essentially that the way to connect the
duplications to the

Negative Effects On Social Media
Peer pressure is an incredibly widespread issue in today s society, and can have many significant and
long lasting effects. Social media plays a huge toll in this major topic. Humans can influence others to
do things that they shouldn t do. Peer pressure can cause many bad things such as drugs, sexting
,alcohol, and gang joining.
In the iGeneration, children feel tempted to do what their friends are doing. Kids spend multiple hours
on social media each day. It can strengthen their social abilities, but it can also pressure them into
doing things that they do not want to do or something that they would not normally do. This
generation is called the iGeneration because of the quick change in technology. The fear of missing
out encourages them to do bad things such as sexting, drinking alcohol, and taking/smoking drugs like
marijuana or harder drugs. Virtual peer pressure occurs daily. It is very harmful and only takes minutes
for kids to make hate groups and bully other kids. Social media apps like instagram, snapchat, twitter,
and Facebook are an open doorway for behind the screen harassment. For some children fitting in is
very hard so they will bully other kids to make themselves feel good and gain popularity. Studies
prove that viewing posts, pictures, and statuses of their friends acting inappropriately influenced them
into doing the same. For instance, in one study, 75% of the kids accepted the fact that the pressure to

Suicide Among Young Rural Women
Suicide is a universal phenomenon that has deep and extensive implications for the overall wellbeing
of a community. Not only is suicide a tragic personal and societal loss, but suicide rates can also serve
as an index of underlying societal problems, such as sources of oppression and lack of social support.
Exhibiting several interesting suicide trends, China is a country that provides ample opportunity for
investigating the problem of suicide and its causes. There are observed Western patterns of urban,
male, and mentally ill populations being at greater risk for suicide trends that are challenged by the
reversed patterns of suicide in China, where youth, female gender, and rural residence are a potentially
lethal combination .1 The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in Western societies, suicide is 3 times more prevalent in urban than in rural areas2, 3 5
times more prevalent in males than in females when measured through completion rates (though
attempt rates are higher among females)3, and 9 times more often associated with mental illness than
not.1 The explanations for these trends draw on psychological and sociological theories: it has been
hypothesized that men are more likely than women to use lethal means of attempting suicide, and that
the economic hardship, unemployment, and social disintegration that afflict city life make suicide a
greater problem in urban than in rural areas.4 In China, however, the trends regarding gender, urban
status, and mental health are surprisingly reversed: rural suicides outnumber urban suicides by a 3:1
ratio, female suicides outnumber male suicides by a 3:1 ratio, and as few as 40% of suicides are
accompanied by mental illness.5
The Western perspective is accustomed to viewing suicide as intrinsically linked to mental health
conditions such as depression, and thus often examines suicide by considering individual
psychological factors. However, the unique patterns of suicide seen in China require an examination
of suicide not only from a mental health perspective, but also from an anthropological perspective that
is sensitive to social stressors, not just

  • 3. The Assassination Of Mother Teresa It was September the 10th, 1964 and World war 2 had only just come to a conclusion. Mother Teresa sat on a piping hot train, on a hot summers day in Calcutta. She tried taking up as little space as possible to avoid being crowded which she was to a great extent and deeply swelter. She was on a train from Calcutta to the Himalayan foothills for a retreat. On this train ride Christ spoke to Mother Teresa. She referred to this as her second calling and in her words it was a vocation to give up, even at Loreto where I was very happy, to go out into the streets to serve . I want Indian Nuns, Missionaries of Charity, who would be my fire of love amongst the poor, the sick, the dying and the little children, she heard Christ say to her on the train in those very words. You are I know the most incapable person weak and sinful but just because you are that I want to use you for my glory. Wilt thou refuse? . A sensation of happiness rushed through her, even though she had been called weak she was honoured. She was very quick to share her vision with her supporters, friends and members of the Loreto sisters that she worked with. She was questioned about her call, and all the intentions and aims she had for doing it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It took much time, and patience. By the two women understanding and having a connection with Minnie they notice the small trifles that leads to them finding evidence and motive for Minnie murdering her husband. Therefore, it would smart to interlink ourselves with the tribe leaders and let the traditional tribal law be implemented the way it is. Mainly because the difference and problems between Sunni and Shi a Muslims are extensively impacting the peace in Iraq. • 10. Essay on Post-Soviet Government And The Free Press The Post soviet countries have begun to build themselves from the ground up, with the hope for a substantial future. As a result of the switch from socialism to capitalism the transition has brought new challenges. In other words, the political democratic stability for the sovereign states became inadequate. It had been standard to view newly democratic nations turned over and became more in support of the western capitalist idea. Although, the new post soviet states are presumably embracing a democratic ideology, it has been clear that it needs coordination to demonstrate that change. I begin my research communicating the idea of stability is the absence of open conflict among elite groups. Among all elite s there are many power struggles, but to keep these conflicts among themselves their needs to be like mindedness, this in fact is a type of censorship to the public. To elaborate more on this, Nils Wessell describes from his journal called, Limited Freedom of the Press A Discussion that in, today s sense that Freedom of the press has been lost also reflects the absence of open conflict among elite groups. Only such conflict creates limited freedom of the press. (Wessell, 46) This is an act of an authoritarian government; the reaction that it takes outside this elite group on the public is an act of self preservation. In today s Russia according to Wessell there is this full on authoritarian regime and it has begun to eliminate freedom of speech, and its adversaries. (Wessell, 46) I take these points that he makes as a description of a beginning of a relationship between society and its government. Democratic as Russia may seem to be perceived, the movers and shakers of that nation actually have too much power in the hands of few. I see the media, as an essential tool for a society to have a democracy, but in the contrary the media can be an inappropriate tool to deceive the public if controlled few. The Great Debate About College Roommates The Great Debate about College Roommates In most cases, for people who once attended college they either consider it the best years of their life or a horror show. They may feel this way because of the experiences they had, classes they took, or the people they met, like perhaps their roommate. In the New York Times article, A College Education Should Include Rooming with a Stranger , Anna Altman explains the effects of having a roommate in college. Anna Altman claims college freshman already have a lot to adjust to in their first weeks, including the new living arrangements in the life of the dorms and meeting a new person that now shares the same home as them. Moving students around within dorms can be a headache, but there s even more at stake: the risk that students will be so unhappy that they might transfer out of the college before sophomore year. The issues Altman presents through Natasha Singer s words for unhappy roommates in college are both direct and indirect. Some of the horror stories told by alumni are about the struggle they went through to find the right roommate after many failed attempts of changing dorms and testing uncharted waters with a new peer. Some of these unfortunate people consider the struggles too great and quit college all together. In turn, colleges lose tuition money ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Schools across America are trading the traditional tool of a textbook for the advanced technology of a chromebook or other form of gadget especially computerized devices. This is based on the accessibility of internet for extra information, and tracking on electronic assignments, as well as saving and accessing documents anywhere. Chromebooks and tablets are replacing textbooks; this has effects on students performance because they are distracting and affect the scores on students tests as well as cause health problems. Gadgets are proposing distractions in the school setting. Phones and other cellular devices are prohibited in the classroom because they are a distraction to the class s learning environment. • 14. Consciousness And Thought In Virginia Woolf s To The... It is through the element of structure that Virginia Woolf, firstly communicates her outlook in regards to consciousness, speech and speculative thought. Woolf represents consciousness in her structural employment of hyphens, which is used in order to show the mental process behind thought. Hyphens appear mainly in compound words and the joining of prefixes, however, in the paragraph s inception Woolf uses the hyphen to convey the merging of detached thoughts through the character of Mrs Ramsey. Mrs Ramsey thoughts match her actions as she clearing up her son s cut out pictures he had cut out a refrigerator, a mowing machine, a gentleman in evening dress children never forget , it is solely through the employment of a hyphenated sentence, that Woolf is enabled to convey to the reader that the latter thought Mrs Ramsey s conjures is retrospective. The action of tidying the cut out pictures is interrupted by a recent memory of her husband s refusal to go to the lighthouse. This sentence demonstrates one of the main aspects of consciousness and thought in To The Lighthouse. The process of thought has no consecutive timeline or chronological order and can interrupt and juxtapose physical actions, which makes the employment of the hyphen an important choice in effectively depicting this often incomprehensible process. In addition to this, the hyphen dually breaks the pattern of rhythmic, perfect, pre composed speech which is frequent in traditionalist literature, whereas ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But what happens when this beauty fades? Shakespeare in his 12th sonnet talks about his experience and fading beauty. The purpose of this poem is to encourage a young man to not lose his beauty to the ravages of time. In order to do this, one must reproduce so beauty will live. In the first quatrain, Shakespeare begins his meditation on the process of decay. He begins the poem with quot;I quot;, which signals that Shakespeare will later give his own experience and account. The first object presented in this sonnet is a clock, which is to set the mood of the poem. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The idea Shakespeare tries to convey is that death takes everything. The violet was once beautiful and strong but as time passes, the violet will age and become frail. Shakespeare proceeds to speak of black sable curls hiding behind white. I have two observations about this line; the first being that as a man ages he will notice more white hairs on his head. The man will lose the vibrant black curls he once had as a young man. Second, Shakespeare may be implying to the young man that his hair too will become gray. Proceeding on to quatrain two, the poet continues to meditate by using images of decay; lofty trees, barren of leaves, white and bristly beard. Just as time progresses, day changes to night, and the young become old, summer becomes winter. In the warm weather, the trees were leafy and bountiful. They served as a canopy that sheltered herd of animals from the blazing sun (L.6). In winter, however, the lofty trees are now barren and stripped of their leaves. The outward appearance of the tree is pathetic and unsightly. The herd of animals will no longer seek shelter under the trees because they look lifeless. Shakespeare further elaborates the imagery of plant life decaying. Summer flowers are beautiful and they exemplify life. However, quite the contrary, Shakespeare states that these flowers are gathered together to be used as funeral arrangements and carried on the coffin over the white and bristly ... In the Latin American region, Bolivia has some of the worst maternal health care systems, due to the underdevelopment of healthcare practices, insufficient political and social concern, and a lack of public awareness. In a sense, the primary causes of maternal mortality from unsafe abortion are not only excessive bleeding or infection but, rather, a failure to recognize the severity of these circumstances and the necessity for reform (Grimes, D. et al. 2006). The public deserves a more direct access to healthcare facilities, principally in rural areas in which access to health care is remarkably limited. He wishes students were like mice when it came to poetry. He is saying that a poem is like a maze, of which we must probe our way out of by deciphering its puzzle or meaning. It might take some time, but with a persistent and motivated attitude you will finish the puzzle. Once a student deciphers the puzzle, Collins stated that students will master a ... Parental and peer abuse is the main contributing factor in the shaping of a serial killer. Serial killer traits can range from physical abuse to bed wetting in the adolescence stage of their lives. During the adolescence stage the abuse can make more of an impact on the molding of the serial killers personality. Modern serial killers are a product of their environment; factors such as; physical and sexual abuse, bad parenting, and poor education made them become the modern physcopathic killers of their time. New studies show that bed wetting can be related to arson and animal cruelty in some way. 57% of serial killers have been known to wet the bed until and unusually advanced age. Bed wetting is a very common thing for a child to go through at a young age in my opinion, but when a parent puts too much negative emphasis on the act it can become social debilitating for the development of the child. In media the stereo typical serial killer is thought of as this child that is isolated from the other children in the classroom. What media does not depict it s the causes of the isolation such as; moving around a lot, malfunctioning parent child relationship, or the child has been put into a foster home at a young age. Lack of ability to hold a relationship can cause numerous problems later on in adult life such as; not being able to hold a job, not being able to sustain a long term relationship, having issues with fitting into the social norm . when not being able to develop healthy relationships with other companions is can lead to the child and their adult outcome, becoming involved in theft, arson, and assault. Hostility, aggression, and complete disregard for human rights can be an emotional outcome due to isolation as a child (Barnard, 10 Most Common Traits of Serial Killers). So in the end whose fault is it really the parent and the peers or the actual genetics of the child, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rust oleum has thousands of products that are all marketed for home and auto projects not limited to fence paint, enamels, primers and rust strippers. The professional undercoating is one of the more popular products as it is used on cars. I chose this product because I have no experience with this item or car care. As it is, I pay mechanics and body shop owners to make sure that my car is not falling apart. Rust oleum Professional Undercoating is a do it yourself project that I would not chose to participate in. The product despite my lack of necessity segments a market fairly specifically. Market segmentations shape the advertisement by picking demographic, geographic, psychographic and behavioral factors of the individuals they wish to target. • 33. How Is Winston Churchill A Hero Ever since his victory in World War II, Winston Churchill has been considered one of the greatest military and political leaders of all time. He has been remembered for his determination, motivational speeches and wartime leadership. In particular, the success of the evacuation of Dunkirk, and the defeat of Hitler have been remembered as two of his greatest achievements. However, Churchill also made a number of mistakes throughout his career, which have now been mostly forgotten. The best example of this, is the failed Gallipoli campaign, which ended in complete disaster. However in spite of this, Churchill still remains thought of as one of the greatest leaders in history, because of the challenges that he faced throughout his career, and how he responded to them. ... The Dardanelles were under the control of the Turks, who were fighting onside with Germany. At the time of Gallipoli, Winston Churchill was First Lord of the Admiralty, and therefore responsible for the campaign. The campaign resulted in disaster, with over 200,000 soldiers wounded or killed in battle or from the harsh living conditions. Eventually, in December of 1915, the Allies were forced to retreat. Following the failure of the Gallipoli campaign, Churchill s reputation collapsed. He was demoted from Lord of the Admiralty, and resigned from Parliament in 1916. • 35. A Comparison Of Marcel Duchamp s Fountain, And The... According to Oxford Dictionary, the definition of perfection is The action or process of improving something until it is faultless. In art, the striving for perfection has always been changing back and forth in a continuous cycle between realism and impressionism. Artworks that point to this idea include Marcel Duchamp s Fountain, and Damien Hirst s The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living. Through Duchamp s work, the viewer gets a face to face interaction with something that is not only unpleasant to see in a high status establishment, but is not considered proper . He has imposed his artistic labor on this urinal. Additionally, with R. Mutt being signed on the side, which symbolizes poverty, the name forces ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... John Berger plays with this idea in his article Ways of Being. Essentially in that text he makes the argument that duplicating an artwork, makes the original artwork have less of an impact on the consumer than it would if it were not replicated. He gave an example with the Mona Lisa and various other artworks. In seeing so many variations of the Mona Lisa, such as in print, on television, in movies, printed on t shirts, et cetera, there is a hype that is built up about the original artwork. However, when gone to see in person, the piece essentially lets the viewer down because it could not live up to the standards that the replicas set for it. However, there is still the idea brought up in Berger s writing that states, One might argue that all reproductions more or less distort, and that therefore the original painting is still in a sense unique. This idea opens up the gap that Lacan introduces in his writing, The Ideal I, between the original object and its other. In this case, the other being the duplication. It is interesting that Berger s ideas connect to Lacan s ideas under this umbrella. In searching for the perfect artwork, can the original be the one of true perfection? This relationship between perfection, duplication, and idealization is very tricky to concretely take a stance on because they are all so subjective. However, the relationship is essentially that the way to connect the duplications to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Negative Effects On Social Media Peer pressure is an incredibly widespread issue in today s society, and can have many significant and long lasting effects. Social media plays a huge toll in this major topic. Humans can influence others to do things that they shouldn t do. Peer pressure can cause many bad things such as drugs, sexting ,alcohol, and gang joining. In the iGeneration, children feel tempted to do what their friends are doing. Kids spend multiple hours on social media each day. It can strengthen their social abilities, but it can also pressure them into doing things that they do not want to do or something that they would not normally do. This generation is called the iGeneration because of the quick change in technology. The fear of missing out encourages them to do bad things such as sexting, drinking alcohol, and taking/smoking drugs like marijuana or harder drugs. Virtual peer pressure occurs daily. It is very harmful and only takes minutes for kids to make hate groups and bully other kids. Social media apps like instagram, snapchat, twitter, and Facebook are an open doorway for behind the screen harassment. For some children fitting in is very hard so they will bully other kids to make themselves feel good and gain popularity. Studies prove that viewing posts, pictures, and statuses of their friends acting inappropriately influenced them into doing the same. For instance, in one study, 75% of the kids accepted the fact that the pressure to blend in after seeing posts of their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not only is suicide a tragic personal and societal loss, but suicide rates can also serve as an index of underlying societal problems, such as sources of oppression and lack of social support. Exhibiting several interesting suicide trends, China is a country that provides ample opportunity for investigating the problem of suicide and its causes. For example, in Western societies, suicide is 3 times more prevalent in urban than in rural areas2, 3 5 times more prevalent in males than in females when measured through completion rates (though attempt rates are higher among females)3, and 9 times more often associated with mental illness than not.1 The explanations for these trends draw on psychological and sociological theories: it has been hypothesized that men are more likely than women to use lethal means of attempting suicide, and that the economic hardship, unemployment, and social disintegration that afflict city life make suicide a greater problem in urban than in rural areas.4 In China, however, the trends regarding gender, urban status, and mental health are surprisingly reversed: rural suicides outnumber urban suicides by a 3:1 ratio, female suicides outnumber male suicides by a 3:1 ratio, and as few as 40% of suicides are accompanied by mental illness.5 The Western perspective is accustomed to viewing suicide as intrinsically linked to mental health conditions such as depression, and thus often examines suicide by considering individual psychological factors. However, the unique patterns of suicide seen in China require an examination of suicide not only from a mental health perspective, but also from an anthropological perspective that is sensitive to social stressors, not just ...
