2. Lesson Six You should now have made a start on your project. You should also have created the sprites which you are going to use and the backgrounds. The variables should also be set up and ready to use. You are now ready to start on the scripts for your sprites.
3. Lesson Six Remember, you are expected to have one sprite with a different costume. Are you going to import an image for this change of costume or edit the original sprite in the paint tool? The costume of the sprite can be changed at anytime by adding the following instruction to your script:
4. Lesson Six The expectation is that you will have more than one background in your project. If you reached the extension activity in previous lessons you may have already done this. If not then this is how it is done: Click on the ‘stage’ next to where the sprites are listed. This should then appear where the scripts are. You can then import images, take pictures using a camera or paint an image using the paint tool. Once you have more than one background, you can use the following control under the ‘looks’ tab to change the background as you require:
5. Lesson Six Another expectation is that you use sound in your project. We have previously looked at using sound but only at a basic level. Use it appropriately and justify why you are using the sound that you are. E.g. I am using this sound because this is where the ‘evil’ character is introduced and this sound represents the atmosphere.
6. Lesson Six You now need to make sure that all of the scripts are correct. If there are any errors, check through as ensure that all of the instructions are in the correct order. Note down any errors which you may have made and how you corrected them.
7. Extension Activity Evaluate how effective your project is and answer the following questions: Who would be likely to use/play your project and what is it’s purpose? What part of the project did you find most difficult? What part of the project did you find most simple to do? Are there any improvements which you think you could make?
