2. MAGAZINE EVALUATION:
TECHNOLOGY USED.
Adobe Photoshop:
For the production process, Photoshop was used for almost most of the work. The cover, DPS and contents page were all created within
Photoshop. I learned how to set pages to international paper size.
MS Office Powerpoint:
Microsoft’s powerpoint was used for the creation of the presentations used to display the coursework, including the slide shown here.
Slideshare:
Slideshare was used to allow the powerpoint presentations to be embedded within the blog.
Blogger:
Blogger was the blog site used to house the coursework itself. This includes the final results of the production, evaluation, planning and
research.
Google images:
Google images was used to source the pictures of the various magazine’s contents page, cover and DPS.
Dafont:
Dafont was used to acquire the magazine's font styles, particularly the one used on the front cover which is called ‘slant’.
Survey Monkey:
Survey Monkey was used to create the survey which was sent out to various individuals in order to conduct audience research and determine
what is to be included within the magazine.
GIMP:
GIMP was used to re-colour and manipulate the photos in order for them to match the magazine’s colour scheme and style.
Camera:
A camera was used to take the photos used in the magazine.
I have learned some aspects of the technologies I used, however I was fairly competent at using them before-hand.
