which is all about the management of health
concerns during adolescence.

Ask the students the following questions: · Holistic Health can be defined as an
approach to life. Rather than focusing on
illness or specific parts of the body, this
ancient approach to health considers the
whole person and how he or she interacts
with his or her environment. Holistic
health emphasizes the connection of mind,
body, and spirit.
1. What can you do to manage the health
problems and concerns during puberty?
2. Do you have any idea why nutrition and
physical activity is one of the problems
during adolescence?

the new lesson
The teacher will discuss the following:

concerns during puberty;
2 components of holistic health;
> things you should do in order to have a
healthy body
Health and Wellness.
1. Nutrition and Physical Activity Health can be defined as physical, mental,
and social wellbeing, and as a resource for
living a full life. It refers not only to the
absence of disease, but the ability to

sleep you are still in the state of growing.
Meaning you still have a chance to grow until
you reach adulthood.
Social health includes the ability to
interact with other people and knowing how
to respect one’s self and others.
Mental health includes your ability to
analyse, evaluate, and make sound
decision which is involve critical thinking.
3. Body Odor
Spiritual health includes a high level of
faith, hope and commitment in a belief
system that brings purposes to life
If you have body odor, here are the following
steps to avoid having body odor and to
maintain your body clean.
1. Shower or take a bath regularly.
2. Change sweaty clothes because
they can be breading grounds of bacteria.
3. Keep your underarms dry. You
may also use deodorant.
4. Dental Problems
1. Brush and floss your teeth every after
meals.
2. Reduce the amount of sugar in your diet.
Avoid sweets snacks that stick to your teeth.
3. Choose food and beverages with
vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C,
vitamin D, and calcium.
4. Visit your dentist every sixmonths for
dental check-up.
5. Postural Problems
· An important aspect of having a good
posture is that you will not experience any
bodily ache and you will also have a good
body figure.
· It is true that when you sit up straight,
not only that you will be attentive during the
discussion or the lesson, but also you will not
experience getting sleepy.

OBJECTIVES TUESDAY THURSDAY A. Content Standard Describe physical, mental, social and emotional changes that occur throughout the life cycle. B. Performance Standar Describe the changes in different aspects of growth that happen to boys and girls during adolescence C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives Explain that the pattern of change during adolescence is similar, but the pace of growth and development is unique for each adolescence. II. Contents III. Establishing a purpose for the lesson The teacher will discus the topic for the day which is all about the management of health concerns during adolescence. Ask the students the following questions: · Holistic Health can be defined as an approach to life. Rather than focusing on illness or specific parts of the body, this ancient approach to health considers the whole person and how he or she interacts with his or her environment. Holistic health emphasizes the connection of mind, body, and spirit. 1. What can you do to manage the health problems and concerns during puberty? 2. Do you have any idea why nutrition and physical activity is one of the problems during adolescence? C. Presenting Examples/Instances of the new lesson The teacher will discuss the following: > health related problems and health concerns during puberty; 2 components of holistic health; > things you should do in order to have a healthy body Health and Wellness. 1. Nutrition and Physical Activity Health can be defined as physical, mental, and social wellbeing, and as a resource for living a full life. It refers not only to the absence of disease, but the ability to Eating nutritious food at the same time having a good exercise is enough for the body to keep healthy.

Your body fights infections; repair cells and grows during sleep. Emotional health includes the ability to manage your emotions and behaviours to cope with stress and adjust to change. We all know that our body is mostly made of cells, and the cells are responsible for the bodily activities. Also, remember that at your age when you sleep you are still in the state of growing. Meaning you still have a chance to grow until you reach adulthood. Social health includes the ability to interact with other people and knowing how to respect one’s self and others. Mental health includes your ability to analyse, evaluate, and make sound decision which is involve critical thinking. 3. Body Odor Spiritual health includes a high level of faith, hope and commitment in a belief system that brings purposes to life If you have body odor, here are the following steps to avoid having body odor and to maintain your body clean. 1. Shower or take a bath regularly. 2. Change sweaty clothes because they can be breading grounds of bacteria. 3. Keep your underarms dry. You may also use deodorant. 4. Dental Problems 1. Brush and floss your teeth every after meals. 2. Reduce the amount of sugar in your diet. Avoid sweets snacks that stick to your teeth. 3. Choose food and beverages with vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin D, and calcium.
  • 4. 4. Visit your dentist every sixmonths for dental check-up. 5. Postural Problems · An important aspect of having a good posture is that you will not experience any bodily ache and you will also have a good body figure. · It is true that when you sit up straight, not only that you will be attentive during the discussion or the lesson, but also you will not experience getting sleepy.
