In this lesson, students review animal adaptations like camouflage, defense mechanisms, migration, and teamwork that were covered in previous weeks. They will then listen to the story "Animals Do, Too! How They Behave Just Like You" to help answer their research question of whether animals and humans have other similarities besides teamwork. Students will discuss the animal adaptations as they read the story.

1. In this lesson, students review the animal
adaptations that we learned the previous four weeks
(camouflage, defense mechanisms, teamwork, and
migration). Students review the research process
(presearch, research) and then listen to the book
Animals Do, Too! How They Behave Just Like You
by Etta Kaner to answer our research question: Do
animals and humans have other similarities besides
teamwork? Students will discuss the animal
adaptations as we read the story.
