place or thing , quality .A noun can be a function as a
subject , object , complement , appositive or a object of a
preposition

Uncountable noun

Common noun
4. Abstract noun
A noun (such as courage or
freedom ) that names an idea ,
event , quality
For ex. Happiness , friendship
5. Collective noun
A noun ( such as team ,
committee, or family ) that refers
to a group or individually
For ex. Jury , squad etc .
6. Countable noun
Some nouns refer to things in which eng . Grammar
are treated as separate item which can be counted .
These are called counatble nouns
Here are some examples
A car , 3 cars
My cousins , my 2 cousins
A box , a box full of books
7. Uncountable noun
In english grammar some things are seen
as whole . These are called Uncountable
nouns because they cant be counted
Some examples of uncountable nouns
are-
Ideas , experience
Information , advice etc .
8. Proper noun
A name used for an individual
person ,. Place or an
organisation , spelled with an
intial capital letter
Example – Akbar , Birbal ,
Humayun etc.
9. Common noun
A noun that’s not the
name of any particular
person , place or thing
For example – River ,
