Lesson 1 animal adaptations (where else in the wild)
1. Animal Adaptations
Lesson 1: Where else in the Wild? More Camouflaged Creatures
Concealed….and Revealed
This unit was created to collaborate with the science
teacher who was teaching about animal adaptations.
In this lesson, students see an animal adaptation slide
that they used in science class. Students review the
steps of the research process (presearch, research)
and then we read Where else in the Wild? More
Camouflaged Creatures Concealed and Revealed by
David Schwartz and Yael Schy to answer our
research question. I put the book in a slideshow to
help the students better see and understand the
animal adaptation (camouflage) answers our research
question.
6. Adaptations: a characteristic that helps an organism survive in its
unique environment.
What adaptations would an organism need to survive
in the following environments?
