1. Discovering Our Solar System:
Lesson 5 - Scott and Mark Kelly
In this lesson, students will review Aristotle and
the naming of the planets, Nicolaus Copernicus,
Galileo Galilei, Henrietta Leavitt, and the stages of
research (presearch and research). Students will
then listen to My Journey to the Stars by Scott
Kelly. After listening to the book, students will
review how to access Britannica Image Quest and
then copy and paste images related to the book
into a book in book creator. Students will also
identify the title, author, illustrator, publishing and
copyright date on the title page and verso.
