Learning Theory Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of learning theory can be a challenging yet intellectually rewarding
task. The difficulty lies in navigating through the vast and intricate landscape of educational
theories, cognitive processes, and psychological perspectives that encompass the realm of
learning. Crafting a comprehensive and insightful essay requires a deep understanding of various
learning models, their implications, and the evolving nature of educational psychology.
One of the challenges is to strike a balance between theoretical concepts and practical
applications. It involves delving into the works of prominent theorists such as Piaget, Vygotsky,
Skinner, and others, while also addressing contemporary perspectives on learning. The synthesis
of these diverse viewpoints demands critical analysis and the ability to connect theoretical
frameworks with real-world educational scenarios.
Additionally, constructing a cohesive narrative necessitates the exploration of how learning
theories have evolved over time, adapting to societal changes, technological advancements, and
cultural shifts. Incorporating empirical evidence and case studies further enriches the essay,
demonstrating a nuanced understanding of how learning theories manifest in different contexts.
Moreover, one must grapple with the challenge of presenting complex ideas in a clear and
accessible manner. Balancing academic rigor with clarity is essential to engage readers and
convey the nuances of learning theory effectively. The essay should avoid being overly abstract
or excessively technical, making the subject accessible to a broad audience.
In conclusion, tackling a learning theory essay requires a multidimensional approach, blending
historical context, theoretical depth, and practical insights. It demands not only a solid grasp of
educational psychology but also the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources into a
coherent and compelling narrative. The process of crafting such an essay is undoubtedly
demanding but offers the opportunity to explore the intricate web of how humans acquire
knowledge and skills.

DNS Essay
The Domain Name System or DNS is an international address system developed to
ensure that every computer connected to the Internet has its own address. DNS
assigns addresses to Internet web servers [10]. However, in the DNS system, that
address is actually a set of numbers like 173.194.39.78. This set of numbers is called
the computer s Internet Protocol (IP) address.
The Domain Name System is most often described as the Internet s phone book or
address book. All of us Internet users use it on daily basis without even realizing it.
Its basic task is to convert human readable website name like coursera.org into its
computer readable numerical IP address like 107.21.240.231.Since such strings of
numbers are difficult for humans to memorize, DNS allows you to assign a domain
name, such as facebook.com to you IP address. So, the domain name is simply an
address on the Internet. It has to be unique just like physical address or phone number.
Computers (and other network devices like smartphones or tablets) use IP
addresses to identify each other on the network and route your request to the site
you are trying to access. It is just like dialing a phone number to reach the person
you want to talk to, but thanks to DNS, you don t need to maintain your own
address book of IP addresses. You will simply connect via DNS server (also called
domain name server or just name server ). Domain name system servers match
domain names like coursera.org to their associated IP addresses.
Letter From Growing Homes Southeast Over The Past Year
I would like to take this time to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a
part of Growing Homes Southeast over the past year. However, over the past
months it seems as though there have been quite a few misunderstandings between
Growing Homes and me. Therefore, I am writing this document to clear up the
misunderstanding. In no instance, do I have any reason to lie or be dishonest.
Although you all may feel as though I haven t been totally honest with you, I view
this situation as a misunderstanding of what I was actually trying to accomplish or
who I am as a person. In no case am I writing this document for you to feel sorry for
me, but for you to gain an understanding. Prior to these past few months Sitrenia,
Latasha, and I have had a face to face conversation. During this time, Sitrenia made
me aware of some issues that occurred during the time the first foster child moved
into my home. Like I stated at that point, I wasn t aware of some of the rules that
took place during that time. Considering the fact that, I was new to this program I
requested to have a policy and procedure manual to help me understand the Dos
and Don ts of Growing Homes. Up until this day, I still haven t received the
manual, but here we are again at this same point where you all feel as though I
broke a rule that I wasn t unaware of. When I say unaware, I mean I didn t know
that since I haven t had a child in my home for almost five months I had to make

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Research Paper
Julia Louis Dreyfus, best known for her roles as Elaine Benes in Seinfeld and
Selina Meyer in Veep, is regarded as the funniest woman on American television.
You have seen her a million times on TV, but, how much do you really know about
her? Take a look at our remaining seven little known facts about the actress!
Number Seven: She Inspired 30 Rock Tina Fey cites Julia Louis Dreyfus as the
biggest inspiration for her character in the comedy show 30 Rock. Dreyfus did a
guest appearance in Tina s show in 2010. Number Six: Gerald Ford s Daughter
Went to School with Her Coming from a wealthy family, Julia went to an elite
school while living in Washington D.C. Ex President Gerald Ford s daughter, Susan

Dreyfus got her Hollywood s Walk of Fame star in 2010. Unfortunately, her name
was misspelled and had to be replaced it read Luis instead of Louis! Julia just
laughed it off: The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show
business. Right when you think you ve made it, you get knocked down. Number
Three: She Wasn t Meant to Be on Seinfeld Julia s appearance on the show that
launched her into stardom was completely fortuity. Seinfeld was all planned out
without her, but NBC executives thought the pilot episode was too male centric, and
picket it up under the condition that a woman was added to the cast. That s how
Dreyfus landed her most celebrated role. Number Two: She Didn t Enjoy Saturday

The Importance Of Kings Dominion
Just imagine a fun day out at an amusement park. Kings Dominion is the place to be
with your family out on a sunny summer day. Kings Dominion is an amusement park
in Doswell, Virginia. Kings Dominion is one of the best Amusement parks in America.
Kings Dominion is a fun place to be , but just imagine the drive. It takes 2 hours to
get there. Kings Dominion Doswell, Virginia is far but is it worth the drive? Of
course it is. Gas is usually around 2.65 at the max. You d be paying a lot of money.
Kings Dominion has a great variety of rides. Yet, the lines of some of them can be
way too long. People enjoy getting on the great rides that they have until they reach
the line. You will maybe decide to sit in the line , until you start to get tired and
decide that it s not worth it. When you get on the rides, you are gonna want to sit

When you get hungry, your gonna want your food right then at that moment. Then
you may start to think, how war will I have to walk just to get my food? Or you
may think that you shouldn t have went so far from the food spots. Everyone has a
big passion for food. The quality of the food is what almost everyone looks at. Or
they even look at how it smells, taste, etc. Now what makes everyone upset is the
price of the food. A single hot dog would be like $10. Who does that, it s too much
money for a hot dog.
When you get to the park , on certain days , the lines are super long. Then on other
days, the lines are short. People tend to complain that they need more people
working at the ticket booth so the lines go faster. Depending on how many people
go with you , the tickets are expensive. The tickets through June 15 are $41, but on
a regularly daily basis, for adults they are $54. A lot of people forget to check the
weather down in virginia. They ll check it in maryland and forget about the main
place that they are going to be for almost 7

Proteins are the main building blocks that cells are assembled from and they make
up most of the cell s dry mass. They contain important elements such as oxygen,
carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and amino acids. Proteins also help provide the cell with
shape and structure. There are some proteins, which are embedded in the plasma
membrane, and they form channels and pumps. These channels and pumps control
the passage of nutrients and small molecules in and out of the cell. In addition, some
proteins send important messages to other cells or are signal indicators. The proteins

The protein Alcohol Dehydrogenase can be found in our stomach and in our liver. In
addition, it can assist in generation of aldehydes and ketones. According to the article,
How Alcohol is Metabolized in the Human Body,
Alcohol dehydrogenase is the workhorse of the alcohol enzymes. it breaks down the
majority of the alcohol that enters the human body. Alcohol dehydrogenase is
actually the name for a family of enzymes which break down alcohol each of which
has a slightly different molecular structure. Researchers have identified as many as 10
varieties of the alcohol dehydrogenase molecule.
All of them bring about the same chemical reaction the difference is that some
varieties of alcohol dehydrogenase work more efficiently than others. As we shall see
below, these variations in the alcohol dehydrogenase molecule can explain why some
individuals react differently to alcohol than others.
Based off this quote, alcohol dehydrogenase is an enzyme. An enzyme is a protein
that catalyzes chemical reactions. In addition, alcohol dehydrogenase often referred

Standardized Testing Affects The Curriculum And The

Abstract
No Child Left Behind promote some testing standards but it leaves out many others.
Teaching to the test is not effective because it affects the curriculum and classroom
instruction. Questions arise whether test score improvements show an increase in
learning. Issues that affect teaching to the test are the limited information as to what
students have actually learned on a specific topic and cheating with the lack of
accountability.
In today s society standardized testing is used in many public schools. According to

Luke s Parable Mother
As I was reading the gospel of Luke I found many interesting people but the person
that has inspired me the most was the father of the prodigal son. In Luke s parable
of the lost son (15:11 32) we see that the younger of two sons asks his father for his
shares of his belongings. After receiving his inheritance, he set on a journey to a
distant land where he spent his money and lived lavishly. Soon he had used up all of
his inheritance and the country struck famine. He found work but it was not working
out. He decided to go back to his father, not as a son, but as a paid servant.
The father in the parable responded in the most loving and forgiving manner by
welcoming his son who had greatly sinned with open arms without a single doubt in

Guernica Goya s Third Of May Meaning
Guernica was created by Pablo Picasso in 1937. The Spainsh Civil war is the cause
of making Guernica. The Basque Country village in northern Spain is were the
bombing took place, government warplanes is how the German and Italy destroyed
the area. The German bombers were supposedly affiliated with National forces and
General Franco during the war. Pablo Picassos painting Guernicauniquely executed
showing innocent people suffering during the bombing. His piece became so
popular, that it became a major antiwar symbol. Guernica became very popular
which helped tell the story of the bombing, while being on a world tour. The one of

The background of the paintings and some visual elements are the same when it
comes to the meaning of the painting. To a non art student the visual at first glance
is very important to set the tone of the paintings. This helps the viewer understand
the groundwork of the subject matter. Picasso s Guernica is very representational
but I can also see so abstract aspects in a weird way. Goya s Third of May is
naturalistic and representational but unlike Guernica we can clearly see the
people who are in charge causing the struggle. In both paintings the value of the
light plays important role in the paintings. Picasso uses shades of black and white
to show all the different aspects and the painting. Goya uses the value of the light
to direct our attention to the main events in the painting. The lines in Guernica is
more curvy, where as Goya s third of May has more straight lines which effects the
flow of the painting. In both of the paintings the background of the paintings are
very similar. People, places, animals and things are being destroyed because of
ruling issues. In Goya s painting to can see hopelessness and suffering on the man s
face while begging for his life. Both of the paintings we can feel the senseless
violence that was depicted. The violence that took place was recorded and reported
in the paintings, both of the artist wanted to make us aware of the violence that took

Character Analysis Of Hamlet
Hamlet is the prince of and the son of the murdered King. Shakespeare introduces
the character to the audience portraying him as grief stricken due to the loss of his
father. He is dressed in black and a somber mood. However, at some point, Hamlet
behaves like a person who is out of his mind through his words and actions. Hamletis
not insane as people assume he is. His character confuses not only the audience but
the characters within the play. Every time the audience meets him, he is an entirely
different person. He is a lonely sojourner with no friends left except Hoaratio whose
loyalty and love for Hamlet are unconditional. However, Hamlet only acted as insane
when there were people around him. Everything he did was premeditated and well
calculated. As such he cannot be said to be insane since his actions reek of
intelligence. He always passes his points through his insane acts and ramblings.
When the ghost of his father appears and demands he seeks revenge, he feels the act
of murdering a king is evil. He hates Claudius, but even pressure from the Ghost will
not push him to commit murder. This contradicts the mad character he is supposed to
portray. It draws the attention of the reader to the introspective and reflective nature
of the prince. He passes up countless opportunities throughout the play to kill the king
as even when he has an opportunity during the time Claudius is praying alone in
his chambers. Now might I do it, now he is a praying, and now I ll don t? And so
he goes to heaven, and so I revenged. A villain kills my father, and for that, I, his
sole son, do this same villain send to heaven (3. 3. 75). he reasons out that killing his
uncle will take the villain to heaven. The logic with which he makes his arguments
cannot be made by an insane person.
When the prince is finally ready to kill the king, he uses fate as a scapegoat to
escape the reality of the crime he is about to commit. His feibgnhsnh ignorance on
the world He says thus, since no man knows aught of what he leaves, what isn t to
leave betimes? Let be. (V.ii.209 14)
Hamlet does not forget his father long after everyone else has forgotten about his
death and has moved on in seeking reconciliation. He remembers his father s

Within this essay I plan to discuss: one current view of path physiology of pain, two
ages appropriate pain tools for babies and toddlers and will also be exploring the
nursing management of acute pain experience in babies and toddlers, including a
strategy for ensuring the safe delivery of care. There have been a range of theories
put forward in attempt to explain the path physiology of pain, one of these is the gate

can be manipulated through a process of opening and closing gates, which in turn
determines if impulses proceed or not. The Gate ... Show more content on

In some cases this tool can be used for adults with some mild cognitive impairment.
Once admitted the child is usually shown the pain scale and told to point to the face

intensity and the number is recorded.
In effect Wong baker FACES provides three scales in one: facial expressions,
numbers and words. This broadens and makes it more generalised and understandable
for children of different ethnicities and development.
Another tool which could be used on babies and toddlers is the FLACC scale
(Merkel et al 1997) which was developed to provide a simple framework for
assessment which provides reliable and objective ways of quantifying pain
behaviours in children. This tool includes 5 categories of pain behavior, including
facial expression, leg movement, and activity, cry and consol ability.
The FLACC assessment scale was developed to assess the acute pain of children
during the post operative period although its use is not restricted to that phase in the
hospital setting.
FLACC facilities recall of these categories, each of which is scored either from 0 2
or 1 3 pending on the scale s scoring system. After having regularly used the tool I
found it a good interpreter, was reliable and valid, thus demonstrated by the changes
in the pain scores from before and after analgesia

According to Doerner (2012), The odds of incarceration for female defendants were
approximately 42 percent lower than the odds of incarceration for male defendants (p.

defendants are 74 percent more likely to be incarcerated than similarly charged
female offenders (Doerner, 2012). Data from this study was drawn from the United
States Sentencing Commission.
Effects on the Community The functionality of the criminal justice system can
potentially be flawed by the lack of a clear, concise sentencing guidelines. Studies
have shown that the circumstances of the offender, their families, as well as the
community can be affected by any biased views in sentencing guidelines (Doerner,
2012).
Critique of Current Options/Approaches
It is important for the federal sentencing guidelines to be fair and eliminate
demographic disparities, such as gender. There are countless instances where
sentencing will vary when referring to the same crime. It is common for women to be
perceived as more innocent, and the caretakers. These may serve as contributing
factors as to why judges are possibly more lenient in sentencing female offenders.
Different demographic and extralegal factors such as race, ethnicity, and age are also
contributing factors to this theory (Doerner,

family are driving for a vacation in Florida, they get in a car accident and encounter
the Misfit. They live in Georgia and the day before they left the grandmother was
reading about the Misfit and trying to talk the family into going to Tennessee instead
so that they would not chance being around him. The grandmother really wants to go
to Tennessee to see her friends, but the dramatic irony of them actually meeting the
Misfit and the situation they get in, is another typical characteristic of Southern
writing. The situational irony of the grandmother becoming a good, enlightened
person after the short conversation she has with the Misfit in the story also shows
how it is in the genre of southern gothic. She reaches out to him, after realizing that
she is a sinner, and tries to redeem herself. She dies with a smile on her face because

Analysis Of Proof The Proof
In the play Proof, David Auburn, suggests that Catherine the main protagonist is
into mathematics. Catherine s father Robert was a mathematical genius as he was
a professor at the University of Chicago. Catherine took care of him for five years
while he was sick, which caused her to stop going to College. Robert died due to a
mental illness. Catherine wrote a proof that not even Hal a Ph.D. graduate could
have discovered. As she inherited her father s mathematical genius, she is afraid
that she might also share her father s debilitating mental illness, which is not the
case, though. In the play Proof Catherine inherited her father s Robert
mathematical genius, math comes naturally to her as she is gifted with math, she
did not even have to go to College for her to understand math, and she is the one
that wrote the Proof without any help. To begin, math comes naturally to Catherine
as she is gifted with math. The play starts off with Catherine speaking with her
father Robert, but in reality, she is not speaking to him. Catherine was grieving for
her father s death, as his funeral is going to be the next day. She s either imagining
or dreaming that she speaks to her father. Dreaming for the fact that when she is
speaking to him, the time was past 12 am. She could have been imagining as well,
she could have been awake past 12 am and could have just been thinking about him as
she is mourning him. The conversation Catherine, and her father have is about how
many weeks has she

throughout history women of all race have been portrayed as creatures whose

women have moved up in the equality ladder to some extended, women still have a

In the chapter titled History within the book called The Second Sex, Beauvoir
talks about various of events and changes along with encounters that provided
opportunities to seize greater freedom for women as a collectivity. For instance,
when women were able to leave their homes and actually take an outside job, it
allowed women a bit confused as to what roles she needed to partake in. Given that
men were always gender policing women to fit the ideal role, the women found it
difficult to transitions and thus loose a sense of self along the way. De Beauvoir
also states that gainful employment can stop the cycle of dependency on man and
thus allow the two genders men and women to see each other s as equals. It is
within the book The Second Sex that De Beauvoir tries to understand the imbalance
of gender roles to help her understand this she turns to the biology, psychoanalyst and
the historical materialism. In her findings, she reveals that although there are some
physical differences between women and men there is no proven facts that women
cant do the same task as men in a workforce. According to Patricia Hill Collins,

Essay on Facades in Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House
When a young girl plays with her doll house, she imagines a make believe world
full of enchantment. However, little does she realize the false and unattainable
image of perfection that lies before her. With every miniature doorway and elaborate
bookcase, the doll house disguises reality with a mask of flawless excellence.
Similarly, Henrik Ibsendescribes many appearances in A Doll House as mere
façades of deception. These images reiterate the theme that outer appearances are
never what they seem. Through his dealing with Nora s societal role and his use of
symbolism, Ibsen effectively contrasts the themes of appearance and reality and
suggests that all façades will eventually be revealed.
In society s view, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another form of deception in the play is Nora s oscillating role between a
homemaker and an individual. For Nora s entire life, society has forced her to
succumb to its expectations of a woman s role as a devoted mother, rather than to
her personal desires. However, in raising the children, she continues to reinforce
these societal traditions. For example, Nora plays a game of hide and seek with her
children. Although this amusement may seem infantile, the game itself is based on
deception with its emphasis on concealment. Symbolically, Nora continues to hide
behind the female persona of a mother. In the game, Nora replies, Yes, let me hide
first (1023). As a mother, Nora sets the standards for her children. Thus, in essence,
she is telling her children that it is acceptable to hide your true, individual desires.
She therefore continues the repressive chain through the symbolic game of hide and
seek, as she calls her children her little, lovely doll babies and encourages them in this
entertainment (1023).
However, Nora soon learns of Krogstad s discovery of her forgery. She then
recognizes that she cannot continue to conceal her past with a clear conscience. As a
result, she never plays hide and seek with the children again, and, as a result,
symbolically recognizes the fact that she can t be together with them as much as [she]
was (1031, original). She
Football Concussionss And Concussions
Questions like What day is it? , or What time is it? can be good indicators, as
someone with a concussion will likely lose their short term memory ability
temporarily. The best way to deal with someone that has a concussion is to be patient
with them because they will have a hard time right after getting a concussion
remembering anything. Even after discussing ALS, CTE, and concussions and head
trauma, why is it that so far, only the NFL has taken a step in the right direction with
new helmets for their players?
The one set apart from football, is that it requires equipment for protection unlike
soccer, where the players wear only shin guards to protect their legs from other
players. Even in sports like lacrosse, there is minimal protective gear given to
athletes. The most likely athletes to get ALS, CTE or Concussions are boxers. Their
job is all about hitting their opponent until he is knocked out, or the rounds end.
Unconsciousness is one of the side effects of a concussion and there seems to be a
connection between boxing and CTE as well, except CTE is contracted through
multiple hits to the head without unconsciousness. The NFL seems to be the only
national sports league that has started taking steps to reduce the risk of concussions,
or an ALS/CTE diagnosis. No other league in any other sport has even changed the
rules of the game to make it safer for the athletes. In looking at each of the popular
sports in the world, it would be hard to change the rules because
A Brief Note On The Ethiopian Church Of Egypt
Rastafarianism is the child of two very distinct and unrelated entities. One parent is
Garveyism, an ideology which at its essence is a Black supremacist socio political
movement with the end goal of repatriating African descendants in the diaspora back
to Africa and and Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is
one of the five monophysite churches, characterised by their rejection of the Council
of Chalcedon 451 AD(Ethiopian) This council was convened in an effort to create
uniformity in regards to doctrine amongst varying christian sects. One of the many
decisions agreed upon was that God had two distinct natures in Christ. Ethiopian
orthodox christianity vehemently disagreed with the council and instead decided that
Christ s humanity cannot be separated from his divinity.(Encyclopedia britannica)
The Ethiopian church was for most of its existence placed under the jurisdiction of
the Coptic Church of Egypt. In 1959 the Ethiopian church became independent from
Egypt when an Ethiopian patriarch was elected (Ethiopian) It most be noted that
although the Ethiopian Orthodox church and associated teachings are accepted by
the Rastafarian community all other christian denominations are rejected. They hold
the belief that all other religious institutions, buildings, churches and schools,
including Jamaican Pentecostal revivalism although indigenous, are created with the
sole intent of keeping black people down. They believe that Jamaican
The Stereotypes Of Judging Other People
Many people judge other people based on what they look like. They think if they
look a certain way they act a certain way. Basically every judgment that is like this
is a stereotype. Sometimes we think people who wear the same clothes over and
over might be homeless. Well that person who you think is homeless is not. That
could be their favorite outfit and they wash it every day to wear it again the next
or they just can t afford new clothes but live in a house and support themselves.
Martin Luther King himself said Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a
sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity . If we keep judging people on how
they look or act, we might as well be stupid not to think of how the other person s life
is. I believe

Although relatively small in size, Ecuador is one of the most biologically diverse
nations in the world. A drastic range of altitude and geographical diversity in such a
small area has resulted in a high number of diverse climactic regions. Because of their
very different climates and altitudes, Ecuador s four main regions, the lowland Pacific
Coast, the Andes Mountains, the Amazon rainforest, and the Galapagos Islands, are
each home to a wide variety of plant and animal species. These many distinct
ecosystems and the hundreds of endemic species residing within Ecuador s borders

However, the environmental effects caused by the oil industry in Ecuador are not
limited to the Amazon region. The construction of the OCP (heavy crude oil
pipeline) threatens many of the nation s other fragile ecosystems. The pipeline,
which would connect oil sources in the Amazon with the ocean port and refineries
of Esmeraldas on the Pacific Coast, runs over the Andes through various protected
areas and reserves and regions of high tourism activity. (OCP alert, 2) The high
range of altitudes (up to 6300 meters) of the Andes, through which the pipeline will
run, provides fragile and diverse habitats for a variety of plants and animals. Also,
the many isolated areas of the Andean region have led to the evolution of an
unusually large number of endemic species.
The pipeline will traverse the extremely unique ecosystem of the Andean paramo.
The high altitude paramo region begins at the upper edge of the mountain forests

characterized by a harsh, high altitude climate. It is generally cold and dry
(although some areas can be swampy), and supports low lying vegetation like
shrubs and grasses. (High Altitude Paramo, no page) The paramo is important to
other ecosystems of Ecuador because of its role as a water source. Melted ice from
glaciers is filtered by grasses and collects in the paramo s many lakes. This region is

When doing so the other group members were active listener, by using their whole

communication, we were able to build trust, respect and understand the issues and
make decision for effective change. We illustrate this by coming together as a
group one again to accomplish the goal we initially wanted to accomplish. Since
the first organization that we had chosen was incorrect, so we had to make the
necessary changes to accomplish our goals. The other effective feature is the
purpose of the group. Kozier et al (2010) stated that the effective group purpose is
when goal, task, and outcomes are clarified. Understanding and modified so that
members of the group can commit themselves to purposes through cooperation

Risk Taking Essay
Khendee Casallo Humanities 151 Do you feel that taking genuine risks in life is
necessary in order for us to be happy? Can people find fulfillment and happiness in
life by playing it safe and not courting any trouble or hardship from taking chances?
The word risk means the possibility of suffering a harmful event. Risk taking can
bring either positive or negative result because anytime we take risks in life, there
is a possibility of loss which can cause tension. There are a lot of people who take
big risks and appear not to be affected by them. But, many of us feel very uneasy
when faced with risk taking; we may become worried about the risk. Although some

It s the challenge itself that people learn from. There isn t any point to making
things a challenge for no good reason so it s about taking on the right challenges
and calculating risks to a point that justifies them when compared to the challenge
that is faced to accomplish them. Truth be told, it was a challenged for me to take
that risk and slide down the tube tunnel and I did not regret doing so because I
know at that point thats what I wanted. If it hadn t been for that challenge, I
wouldn t be able to see what I am capable of doing. Taking risks is done with some
purpose in mind as well. There isn t any point in taking risks that don t pay off.
There are hundreds of things that require risks in order to make them happen.
Innovation is a big one of those. Innovation is when you look for new ways of
doing things, building things or perhaps new ideas. This requires breaking new
ground that no one has done before and so there are always risks involved. People
who are hesitant to take risks will become stagnant with no ability to innovate or
change for there is no such thing as constant in this world, there are always going
to be changes and new invention coming up. When we were young we really didn
t understand what risks were, we just did things as we saw fit to do them.
Sometimes as older individuals we need to take risks as we did when were young.
Instead of the over analyzing and the procrastination sometimes we just have to look
Daniel Shays As An American Officer
Daniel Shays
Daniel Shays served role as an American officer in the American Revolution from
1775 to 1780 and also became known as one of the leaders of Shays Rebellion,
which lasted from 1786 to 1787. In 1780 he resigned from the army, and settled in
Pelham, Massachusetts, where he held numerous town offices. Soon after, wealth
reigned in America at the signing of the peace treaty in 1783, but was quickly
transformed into a severe economic depression. He began his rebellion when
property holders, including himself, began losing their belongings through
confiscations for unpaid debts and taxes and became subject to debtor s
imprisonment. Protests then followed, with threats of violence against the courts
conducting the enforcements and arraignments. This is when Shays arose as one of
the several leaders of what came to be known as Shays Rebellion. After the
Rebellion was over, he and approximately a dozen others were sentenced to death by
the Supreme Court of Massachusetts. However, towards the end of the rebellion,
Shays had escaped to Vermont, soon afterwards he moved to Schoharie county,
New York, and then a few years later moved further west to Sparta, New York.
Shays, in his old age, was granted a retirement pension by the federal government
for the five years he served in the Continental Army without pay. He lived the last
couple years of his life in poverty, as a heavy drinker and supported himself on his
pension by working a small piece of land. He later

Similar to the section covering the Black Athena and the nuanced debated
surrounding it, there is another debate area that my research delves into that I will

immediately springs to our minds, most likely an image of a famous artwork we
were shown in elementary school and perhaps an image of an archaeological dig
site but the question stands; what is art and what is artifact? For some the
difference is if the object had a utilitarian use or if it was merely decoration and, for
others there is no difference. But, for researchers dealing with objects thousands of

The period covered in this book is a very short one, covering the building of the
Atlantic wall in little detail, and in great detail, the few days before D Day and the
initial attacks on D Day itself. On the German side Hitler has ordered the building of
a massive Atlantic Wall to stop any Allied attackers from landing on the western
seaboard, from the Kirkenes to the Pyrenees. After defeat in Africa, Field Marshall
Erwin Rommel is sent to inspect and oversee the wall s completion. After seeing the
horrible state of the wall Rommel worked to complete the wall as quickly as
possible. He had the German and French coast of the English Channel and their
beaches filled with mines. Rommel then placed heavy fortifications behind the
beaches to stop any attackers who made it past the beach defenses. In Great Britain,
the Supreme Allied Commander, General Eisenhower was planning the date to

change in macbeth character
Macbeth s character shows us the tragedy of over ambitious people; it also shows us
that negative aspects can overwhelm the good side of our personality.
Throughout this piece of writing I will be showing the changes within Macbeths
character, which is the only character within the play that has visible changes in his
character. I will be describing these points by inspecting the asides and soliloquies,
which are both dramatic ironies that place the audience in a privileged position as
they are introduced to the characters thought pattern that gives them an insight to
how he may be feeling. All of which is unbeknown to other characters in the scene.

and this explains how double faced and furtive devious he becomes.
Act IV, Sc I shows how Macbeth believes only in the witches, he trusts them and
makes all his plans and arrangement according to their prophecies. This doesn t only
show us a mental change but also how Macbeth lost his morality, honesty, and
nobility and became more frenzied, no more mercy to be thought of or shown and
decides, The firstlings of my heart shall be
The firstling of my hand.
Comparing this to the first soliloquy in my piece of writing we perceive a
tremendous development of his personality and attitude. He is not hesitant about
killing any more and will do any thing to keep his throne and power.
Following his meeting with the witches they tell him to be ware Macduff and
macbeth acts upon this warning by sending murderers to kill His wife, his babes, and
all unfortunate souls this act shows in depth how immoral he becomes.
It didn t stop with killing the king, his friend, Lady Macduff and her children;
Macbeth has lost even the sense of what does love and family mean and becomes
more selfish. In Act V, Sc v, the servant informs Macbeth of the distressing sorrowful
news about the death of Lady Macbeth But he replies with cold nerves: She should
have died hereafter;
There would have been a time for such a word

The Case For Martin s Father
This topic is one that is very close to my heart. I have a very good friend named
Martin. For many years his family owned a home in Orlando. Unfortunately, his dad
lost his job during the economic crisis a few years ago. Martin s family came close
to foreclosing, but an investor stepped in and offered them a rent to own deal. They
have been rentingthe home now since 2012 and hope that they will be able to
purchase the home again in the next few years.
The rent to own option is a feasible option for many families that have experienced
rough times and have lost their homes. It gives them the opportunity to have a
home ownership lifestyle while they are rebuilding their credit. It also allows time
to re establish work tenure and income history. I know this has been the case for
Martin s father. After being out of work for almost 2 years, his father has been
gainfully re employed now for about 8 months. When he builds more time on his job,
they should be in a position to get another mortgage on their home.
The rent to own option also gives people the opportunity to try out the home and
make sure they really like it before making a long term investment. Also, they have a
chance to learn the neighborhood before taking the plunge. I have never purchased a
home, but I would bet that many current homeowners wish that they had the
opportunity to do a trial run before diving head first into their home purchase.
But maybe for some people, the goal should not be to go all in on

There are always problems with this approach, but the profit of doing so is significant.
3. Poor or No Requirements poor requirements are probably one of the most
difficult issue that can be faced by a project. The incapacity to identify good
requirements has also led to other project delivery problems such as the desire to
narrow the scope of the project so as to minimize the requirements workload and
risk. Users should understand what it is they want, and be able to identify it
specifically. if you don t get the business requirements right, however well you deliver
the project, the client/business will be dissatisfied.
4. Scope Creep
Scope creep is a risk in most projects. it is the change or growth of project scope.
Scope creep more frequently occurs during the later stages of a project, such as
programming and testing, than during the earlier stages, such as design. This can
occur when the scope of a project is not properly defined, documented, or controlled.
This is a management issue similar to change control. Management should be able to
figure it all out at the start. A project manager often tries to manage scope creep. The
goal in managing scope creep is to try to minimize the impact of any changes on the
project, such as on the timeline and cost.
5. No Change Control System

Big Brother Symbolism
Big Brother: Protector or Dark Representative As far as the eye can see, the posters
so bold and ubiquitous boast Big Brother Is Watching You (Orwell 3). He is the
leader of the Party, yet he is also the government itself; he is a symbol representing
much more than what is implied. In 1984 by George Orwell, Big Brother
represents the darkness behind the Party. This dark symbolism is evident in big
brother s name using the principles of doublespeak, similarities between big brother
and dictators, big brother s totalitarian like action and purpose, and the fear caused
by big brother s unceasing watch on his people. Though Big Brother is a symbol for
the Party s darkness, some readers interpret his character as harmless. Afterall, big

Much like Hitler, Franco, and Stalin, Big Brother is worshipped by his followers,
though the worship of Big Brother is especially important because it takes place of
outlawed organized religion ( 1984 236). In addition to this, Big Brother also
knows that truth is textual and thusly creates the Ministry of Truth to dispose of
books and other such documentation of stories that do not suit his needs, much like
how Hitler burned books for the same purpose (Ingersoll). This knowledge was
carried out to such an extent that Big Brother could rewrite astronomy to make the
stars mere miles away from Earth if such a truth accorded with the unrestrained
exercise of power by the Party (Ingersoll). Another example of Big Brother s
similarity to dictators can be found when Winston sees himself after he has been

areas of art, tools such as perspective, realism, and individualism showed the great

the classics and the wide use of all of the different artistic techniques during the
Renaissance such as realism and perspective were only possible because of the
ideas and artwork that pervaded Europe. For example, the Northern Renaissance
occurred partly because merchants bought art and books from Italian merchants
and spread it through northern Europe where countless people viewed it and began
creating similar paintings. Some major works such as the Sistine Chapel and St.
Peter s Basilica were in prominent places where many people would go to for
religious reasons, and thus, a great amount of people were exposed to the work as
well. In contrast to the Renaissance, during the Middle Ages there was no
perspective or dimension, the temper paint was dull and unimaginative, and there
was no realism or individualism. For example, the human body was distorted and
unrealistic because babies looked like little men, and there was no individualism
because religious and wealthy figures
Physical Therapy Paper
Physical Therapy is a medical specialty that restores the functions of the human body
in such a way that the patient s quality of life and health perception reaches its
greatest exponent. Physical Therapy promotes the mobility of the human body
through physical intervention ensuring the patient s adequate healthiness. Physical
Therapyis a science that helps healing, recovering and adapting patients with physical
dysfunctions. Physical therapycould be defined as a science and art at the same time.
It is a science because it allows us to know its own scientific development, and art
because that knowledge is applied to the patients to improve their physical status.
Therefore the knowledge and learning of the different methods and techniques are
always related to the application on the patient. Physical therapy adapts to the needs
of society in general, and patients in particular. Physical therapy is increasing every
day since new injuries are created along the society, therefore physical therapy is a

The direct contact with the patient helps in the process of recovery. The connection
between a physical therapist and the patient is essential for the patient s physical
improvement process. In order to treat a patient, a physical therapist has to perform
different activities to ensure a quality treatment: evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and
then evaluation of the outcome. Following those steps help getting a positive
outcome. Physical therapists contribute in a tremendous way to the health care
profession since they ensure the patient s adequate healthiness by recovering and
adapting people with physical dysfunctions. In order to be healthy, a person has to be
physically in good conditions, meaning no pain or no physical dysfunctions. Physical
therapy then plays an important role in the health care profession since it benefits
patients physically in order to recover from injuries or physical
Essay about Do the right thing
The weather is sizzling hot and tensions are slowly coming to a boil in this
Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn neighborhood. Slowly but surely we see the heat
melt away the barriers that were keeping anger from rising to the surface. The
Blacks and the Hispanics own the streets the Koreans own the corner store and of
course the Italians own the pizzeria, the Cops who happen to be all Caucasian,
prowl the streets inside out, looking for anyone to harass. Toes are then stepped on
and apologies are not made. SpikeLee creates the perfect set up for a modern dayin
Bed Stuyvesant. Without fail Spike Lee is transformed into an anthropologist. Spike

Lee would have been very meticulous about recording his findings, very much like an
anthropologist today.
When we try to understand why the characters act as they act and what drives each
of them, the viewers are inevitably drawn to the conclusion that they are just like
them. They realize they are human; they have both good qualities and bad
qualities. Spike Lee also makes them understand that at times they may make
terrible mistakes, and that at other times they may display admirable heroism, and
that sometimes they simply act without knowing why. Spike Lee does more than
try to show his viewers that despite tensions, this Black neighborhood is a
community. What Lee does is he makes the viewers think. He simply presents
events as they are leaving the viewer to figure out the motives of the characters and
the why behind the course of events. Lee doesn t really put a positive light on any
particular race while shadowing the other ones. He doesn t try to make conflicts
have an obvious solution. Lee simply re creates a piece of life, with a little twist of
extreme (yet realistic) drama for deeper effect, and by doing this he tries to simply
make his audience think and question.
Another reason why Spike Lee makes a good anthropologist is that perhaps why Lee
made everyone just as guilty and just as
Causes Of Hunger Around The World
According to Poverty.com, a person around the world dies from hunger or hunger
related causes every 10 seconds. While there are many causes of hunger in the world
some occur more frequently than others. Your body reacts in many different ways to
not having any food. When your body suffers from malnutritionor hunger your body
will stop at nothing to survive. First, there are many causes of hunger around the
world, and that s why about 795 million people around the world suffer from hunger.
According to bread.org Povertyis the main cause of hunger around the world.
Extreme poverty is defined as of having an income of $1.25 a day or lower. The
largest group of hungry people in the world are small farmers in developing
countries. A cause for widespread hunger that is common in developing countries
is food shortages and waste. For example, Bread.org says, The people most
affected are smallholder farmers and their families who depend on their own
surplus to survive between harvests. The period leading up to a harvest is known
as the hungry season. Another reason for food shortages is up to 40 percent of
food grown in some countries is spoilage. Spoilage is the spoiling of food and
perishable goods. Wars and conflicts can be both the causes and effects of hunger.
Widespread hunger in a nation in which the government doesn t pay attention to its
own people can cause civil wars. According to a man in Liberia years after their civil
war, he only knew there was peace
Biblical Perspectives On The Roles And Status Of Women
In the last twenty years, there has been a marked increase in monographs,
collaborative studies, and periodical literature that have focused on biblical
perspectives on the roles and status of women. While more than fifty years ago this
subject received sustained attention in only a few books published in Europe and the
United States, by no means does the scope of the treatment, the stances espoused, and
the variety of volumes seen today compare with those found in earlier studies that
appeared shortly after the turn of the last century. Doubtless, the current
preoccupation with this subject is a barometer of the legitimate perception, in some
quarters, that women have not been accorded in modern society anything that
approaches what the Bibleitself, at times, seems to demand or at least to imply
strongly in terms of equality. Yet, it is troubling that most, if not at all, of this
literature, which purports to study the roles and status of women in the Bible,
invariably appears to have been written for the specific benefit of Anglo Saxon or
Jewish women of today as opposed to black and other women of the Third World
who find themselves in far more wretched circumstances than their more privileged
female counterparts. For this reason, it is necessary for the black women in ministry
to educate themselves and study some of the lines along which the biblical witness
provides images and themes for the uplift, liberation and divinely inspired leadership
not just of women
Personal Narrative Reflection
My third visit to Mrs. Casanova s class has thus far been my most productive, in
terms of applying something I have learned both from this class and UCF in
general. With the end of the middle of the second nine weeks rapidly approaching
so too are classroom summative assignments. During my visit on the twentieth I was
able to both see the test creation process in a PLC and participate in the creation of
some questions. Two of the three teacher I have been able to spend time with in the
classroom, the first being in internship and the second, Mrs. Casanova with service
learning. Both teachers employ direct instruction as their primary means of conveying
information, with Mrs. Casanova using it more than the honors and AP teachers.
However, within the PLC the test questions were being created for all classes, rather
than having separate questions for AP, honors, and regular classes, with the only
difference being the written response questions being more challenging in upper
classes. Due to this, content evidence was very important, especially for the upper
classes, as they technically would be getting the same test as a regular. Beyond this
however, the instruction leading up to the test also had to be evaluated as the
questions were made with AP in mind. According to the book, content evidence
connects to state standards and what the students need to know based off this, which
should be reflected within the instruction (pg. 396).
One thing UCF does a great job of is
Netflix s Successful Implementation Of Managerial...
Over the past 7 years, Netflix streaming has expanded from thousands of members
watching a show from time to time to millions of members watching over two
billion hours every single month. Each time a member starts to watch a movie or
TV episode, a view is created in the data systems, and a collection of events
describing that view is gathered. Given that viewing is what members spend most of
their time doing on Netflix, having a robust and scalable architecture to manage and
process this data is critical to the success of the business. A huge part of Netflix s
success can be attributed to their successful implementation of managerial
information system. Netflix records data on content that consumers have watched in
the past and bases suggested movies and TV shows based that particular consumer s
history. This provides the consumer with a highly personalized streaming experience
that tailors showcases all the material Netflix has to offer that would actually interest
that one customer. Netflix s competitor Hulu didn t implement such data mining
strategies right away and instead observed Netflix to see if their implementation of
datamining would be successful. While they were awaiting results from Netflix, Hulu
would just show their customers all of their available content from the menu screen.
This caused a very convoluted and overwhelming menu screen to pick out a movie or
show from. It s this accessibility that drove Netflix to surpass other streaming services

Taking a Look at Virtual Currencies
Virtual currencies such as bitcoin are portrayed as an innovative design in the
distribution of money throughout the world through the use of peer to peer
transactions due to it being fraudulent and impossible to counterfeit. However, bitcoin
holders are anonymous and could act in a similar way to black markets, their
bitwallet is unregulated and untaxed. Using bitcoin as a currency also delves into the
problem where users purchase illegal objects and substances anonymously.
Bitcoin is essentially an electronic cash currency and is perceived as a great
success since its launch in 2009. Most e cash schemes require a centralized bank,
which acts as a safeguard for potential scams or for double spending detection.
(Simon Barber et al. 2012 p 401), In contrast, the bitcoin protocol allows individuals
to freely send bitcoins without any third party interference. The fee for sending
bitcoins is very little in comparison to other online payment methods such as PayPal
thus bitcoin is considered to be cost efficient. (Grinberg, R. 2012 p 160). Bitcoin is
considered ethical because it is unique to the characteristics of credit cards. Banks
have attempted to remove the issue of fraud and find mechanisms to stop hackers and
phishers from obtaining personal data. This is because traditional transactions require
the transmission confidential data, making data vulnerable to interception by hackers
(Simon Barber et al. 2012 p 402). In regards to bitcoin, only a bundle of characters
Aquaculture Pros And Cons
Numerous Freshwater Fish Farms around the world are helping feed a growing
worldwide population. However, Aquaculture is also a huge industry in today s
growing economy, most of the species framers raise are Catfish, Trout, Tilapia, and
even Salmon and other cold and warm water fish. Aquaculture has been around for
thousands of years the first FishFarms were accidental it didn t become a concern
until farmers started to breed concentrated amount of fish in a small area.
Nevertheless, Aquacultureis not being researched adequately to better understand the
impacts. Many of the fish that are raised are for consumer consumption only.
Presumably, the fish being consumed is not as healthy as many consumers might
think. The Farmed Fish carry the high level of Mercury and cannot be consumed
often. However, there s also Farms that raise fish for the purposes of stocking lakes
and ponds. In recent study s and surveys, Fresh Farm is creating enormous
complication on the environmental and ecological aspect. As many Farmers would
agree on the pros of will a Fresh Farm beat the Cons of having them. Conservationist
would disagree with the farmers, having a Fish Farms is destroying the environment
slowly. Farmers are not aware of the problem until it s too late to do anything about
the problem. There s an enormous environmental controversy about Aquaculture that
many farmers and scientist are ignoring. Most of them just see the revenue that is
being made. The dark truth about Fish Farms

How Did Grigori Rasputin Change Russia
Jordan
In 1903, Grigori Rasputin arrived by train in St. Petersburg, Russia. He dressed
very poorly and had an awful stench to him. However, this did not stop him from
becoming friends with the monks and bishops of the churches around St.
Petersburg. News quickly spread that Rasputin was a powerful holy man. However,
he wasn t truly what he seemed. In reality, Rasputin was a lustful, manipulative
man who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted and to get rid of all those in
his way. This self proclaimed holy man was the one person who would impact the
tsar and Russia so greatly that he alone would change Russia s fate as a whole.
As mentioned in Holy Man Or Mad Monk , Rasputin easily gained allies and
followers during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not long after, an old monk named Feofan accompanied Rasputin back to Siberia
for a visit. Being an old friend of Rasputin, he did not expect him to act out. Feofan
observed how Rasputin did not fast like he should have, and how he would seduce
many women. He later brought his observations to the tsar and tsarina. At the same
time many others began to report Rasputin s misconduct, including the Prime
Minister and Alexis s nurse. Newspapers around the city of St. Petersburg even
began printing articles on Rasputin s misbehavior. This led to the tsar and tsarina
getting rid of those who opposed Rasputin, even going as far as to ban all
newspapers from making articles with even as little as the name Rasputin in them.
However, this did not stop newspapers from writing articles to spread the word of
Rasputin s misconduct. Suspicions of Rasputin began to rise. Despite all the talk of
Rasputin, Nicholas and Alexandra simply dismissed their complaints, refusing to lose
their only hope in the royal family continuing their rule of Russia. After all the
commotion, Rasputin decided it would be best to hold a pilgrimage to Palestine. He
hoped that his situation with the Russian people would settle before he returned.
When he returned in 1911, tsar Nicholas requested that Rasputin help him choose a

Alaska Team Support
This year I was involved in numerous activities in support of the Booz Allen in
Alaska. My three primary areas of involvement were in the Junior Achievement
program, the Air Force Airman Financial Literacy program and in support of the
Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Wounded Warrior rodeo. In addition to this, I also
participated in the local Fun Times activities with the rest of the Booz Allen team in
Alaska.
I volunteered as a mentor and presenter to a local high school with Junior
Achievement. I combined my academic, military and business background in a
program for high school to motivate and encourage excellence in accordance with this
program which focuses on developing leadership in business amongst our youth.
I was also asked again this year to participate in the Air Force s financial literacy
program. It is very rewarding to see Air Force members who return to the program
and share their stories of how they have put the lessons they learned in the program
to you. Majority of the participants in the program or new each year, but the dramatic
stories from the returning students motivate the new members and help them realize
that financial success can be achieved with proper discipline any knowledge of
simple financial skills.
The Wounded Warrior rodeo was another huge success this year and raise money for
a very worthwhile effort. It was a pleasure to once again participate in this annual
event which raises funds for a good cause.

Inca And Aztec Similarities
Although the Aztecs and the Incas were similar in that they both had several deities
and used the same rituals to worship, they were different in that their gods were not
the same and the way they made their rituals was different. A similarity between the
Aztecs and Incas was that they both worshipped several gods that had different roles.
For the Aztecs, their most important god was Huitzilopochtli, who was the sun and
warrior god of the Aztecempire. However the Aztec pantheon also included
Ometecuhtli, the creator god, Coatlicue, the earth goddess, Quetzalcoatl, the god of
twins and learning, Tezcatlipoca, the god of the night sky, Tlaloc, the god of rain and
fertility, and Xipe Totec, the god of torture and sacrifice. They believed
Book Report On The Book I Crazy
If you d like to connect with an entire community of writers, see the photo
accompanying this column, and, possibly, win a paperback book, you ll want to
read this column on my blog. I have a neighbour who often drove her three kids to
school. I m too polite to have told her off for this, but they lived a 10 minute walk
from both grade school and high school. What was she thinking? This kind of
attitude as well as the one that sees city officials failing to put sidewalks on all of
their streets makes me crazy.
Walking is one of the best things we can do. This advice is particularly true for
writers. Why? Because in order to write, we need to think, first. And thinking at our
desks instead of out in fresh air, while we re moving our bodies is almost always a
spectacularly bad idea.
When we sit, our brains become leaden. But when we walk, our hearts pump faster
and our brains and other organs get more blood and oxygen. Scientists have shown
this helps our memories work better and improves our attention.
The gentle exercise of walking also leads to new connections between brain cells,
holding at bay the usual decline of brain tissue that comes with age. Even as my hair
turns grey, I m glad to know that I don t have to listen to contemporary music to keep
my brain younger.
Furthermore, walking also has a positive impact on creativity. In 2014, researchers
from Stanford published a set of studies designed to measure the way walking
changes creativity. When did
Little John Changes In Robin Hood
When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
Change is necessary for growth, and generates additional change. In the Book
Robin Hood by Howard Pyle, Little John changed how he acts and thinks because
of loyalty to Robin Hood, guilt for leaving him for the sheriff, and his friendship
with Robin Hood. The first force that causes change in Little John is joining Robin
Hood and his men. After fighting Robin and getting Christened (Pyle 10) and being
renamed Little John, (An ironic nickname, as his name is actually John Little, nor is
he little.) Little John sticks with Robin Hood through everything, and stays by him
even as he is dying. Little John wished to go to a fair at the Nottingham Town, and

Pyotr Tchaikovsky Analysis
Pyotr Tchaikovsky s never ending battles with depression, distraught, and sadness
may not seem to be an important positive trait in his life. Many would say that his
musical capabilities are what excel him over other classical composers, but I
believe that is not the case. Tchaikovsky s emotions can be heard in his
masterpieces: those of heart wrenching misery and of jubilation and triumph. His
development of depression can be traced back to his early childhood in Votkinsk
and St. Petersburg. When his mother, Alexandra, had to leave Pyotr for a good two
years, he could not bear to let her go. Neither caresses, consolations, nor promised of
a quick return had any effect. ...Force had to be used to tear the boy away from
Alexandra. The horses
What Is The Purpose Of Apollo 8
The stated purpose of Apollo 8 was the first manned mission to land on the moon.

in Apollo 8 there was almost a burn in the spacecraft, But if it had lasted the correct
amount of time the spacecraft would have ended. Nothing had happened to Apollo 8
just almost. If so if it had ended that would of been a very bad. But the good thing it
was safe and the spacecraft went out good. In the earthrise, taken
World War 2 essay (Canada)
During the course of the Second World War, Canada evolved into a powerful,
resourceful nation that was needed by the Allies. Canada contributed significantly to
the Allied war effort during World War II where they fought on land, water and air
and assisted indirectly from the home front. On land, they fought in numerous battles
and campaigns such as D Day, Hong Kong, and the Italian campaign. However, they
were also strong and resourceful when it came to air and naval forces in battle. But
even outside of battle, Canadawas still able to make a contribution through its

These battles fought by Canadians on water and in the air were significant
contributions to the Allied air and naval forces.
Canada s contribution in the Allied war effort did not only come from Canadian
soldiers, but also from regular, everyday citizens who never saw battle, such as
those involved in the Canadian war industry, BCATP, and the Corps of Canadian
Firefighters. The Canadian industry supplied a great deal of war materials for the
Allies, producing more than 800,000 military transport vehicles, 50,000 tanks, 40,000
field, naval, and anti aircraft guns, and 1,700,000 small arms. 6 Canada s strong war
industry was required to produce as much ammunition, weapons, and vehicles as they
could in order to defeat Germany, who had great industrial power at the time. In 1939,
Canada became the home for major recruiting and training for pilots during the
Second World War in an organization called the British Commonwealth Air Training
Plan. Throughout the war, Canada had graduated 131,533 airmen, including pilots,
navigators, bomb aimers, wireless operators, air gunners and flight engineers.7 These
men would later become involved in the war in the air, and their numbers would
greatly contribute to the Allied air superiority. During the Battle of Britain, German
air forces relentlessly bombarded London and

Learning Theory Essay

  • 1. Learning Theory Essay Writing an essay on the topic of learning theory can be a challenging yet intellectually rewarding task. The difficulty lies in navigating through the vast and intricate landscape of educational theories, cognitive processes, and psychological perspectives that encompass the realm of learning. Crafting a comprehensive and insightful essay requires a deep understanding of various learning models, their implications, and the evolving nature of educational psychology. One of the challenges is to strike a balance between theoretical concepts and practical applications. It involves delving into the works of prominent theorists such as Piaget, Vygotsky, Skinner, and others, while also addressing contemporary perspectives on learning. The synthesis of these diverse viewpoints demands critical analysis and the ability to connect theoretical frameworks with real-world educational scenarios. Additionally, constructing a cohesive narrative necessitates the exploration of how learning theories have evolved over time, adapting to societal changes, technological advancements, and cultural shifts. Incorporating empirical evidence and case studies further enriches the essay, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of how learning theories manifest in different contexts. Moreover, one must grapple with the challenge of presenting complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner. Balancing academic rigor with clarity is essential to engage readers and convey the nuances of learning theory effectively. The essay should avoid being overly abstract or excessively technical, making the subject accessible to a broad audience. In conclusion, tackling a learning theory essay requires a multidimensional approach, blending historical context, theoretical depth, and practical insights. It demands not only a solid grasp of educational psychology but also the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources into a coherent and compelling narrative. The process of crafting such an essay is undoubtedly demanding but offers the opportunity to explore the intricate web of how humans acquire knowledge and skills. For those seeking assistance with essays or similar academic tasks, various resources are available, including professional writing services. • 2. DNS Essay The Domain Name System or DNS is an international address system developed to ensure that every computer connected to the Internet has its own address. DNS assigns addresses to Internet web servers [10]. However, in the DNS system, that address is actually a set of numbers like 173.194.39.78. This set of numbers is called the computer s Internet Protocol (IP) address. The Domain Name System is most often described as the Internet s phone book or address book. All of us Internet users use it on daily basis without even realizing it. Its basic task is to convert human readable website name like coursera.org into its computer readable numerical IP address like 107.21.240.231.Since such strings of numbers are difficult for humans to memorize, DNS allows you to assign a domain name, such as facebook.com to you IP address. So, the domain name is simply an address on the Internet. It has to be unique just like physical address or phone number. Computers (and other network devices like smartphones or tablets) use IP addresses to identify each other on the network and route your request to the site you are trying to access. It is just like dialing a phone number to reach the person you want to talk to, but thanks to DNS, you don t need to maintain your own address book of IP addresses. You will simply connect via DNS server (also called domain name server or just name server ). Domain name system servers match domain names like coursera.org to their associated IP addresses.
  • 3. Letter From Growing Homes Southeast Over The Past Year I would like to take this time to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of Growing Homes Southeast over the past year. However, over the past months it seems as though there have been quite a few misunderstandings between Growing Homes and me. Therefore, I am writing this document to clear up the misunderstanding. In no instance, do I have any reason to lie or be dishonest. Although you all may feel as though I haven t been totally honest with you, I view this situation as a misunderstanding of what I was actually trying to accomplish or who I am as a person. In no case am I writing this document for you to feel sorry for me, but for you to gain an understanding. Prior to these past few months Sitrenia, Latasha, and I have had a face to face conversation. During this time, Sitrenia made me aware of some issues that occurred during the time the first foster child moved into my home. Like I stated at that point, I wasn t aware of some of the rules that took place during that time. Considering the fact that, I was new to this program I requested to have a policy and procedure manual to help me understand the Dos and Don ts of Growing Homes. Up until this day, I still haven t received the manual, but here we are again at this same point where you all feel as though I broke a rule that I wasn t unaware of. When I say unaware, I mean I didn t know that since I haven t had a child in my home for almost five months I had to make Growing Homes aware

Ex President Gerald Ford s daughter, Susan Ford, went to the same school. Dreyfus explained they had Secret Service on campus and Ford s prom was held at the White House.... Unfortunately, her name was misspelled and had to be replaced it read Luis instead of Louis! Julia just laughed it off: The misspelling was so perfectly apt, a great metaphor for show business. Right when you think you ve made it, you get knocked down. Number Three: She Wasn t Meant to Be on Seinfeld Julia s appearance on the show that launched her into stardom was completely fortuity. Seinfeld was all planned out without her, but NBC executives thought the pilot episode was too male centric, and picket it up under the condition that a woman was added to the cast. That s how Dreyfus landed her most celebrated role. Number Two: She Didn t Enjoy Saturday Night

After receiving his inheritance, he set on a journey to a distant land where he spent his money and lived lavishly. Soon he had used up all of his inheritance and the country struck famine. Picasso s Guernica is very representational but I can also see so abstract aspects in a weird way. Goya s Third of May is naturalistic and representational but unlike Guernica we can clearly see the people who are in charge causing the struggle. In both paintings the value of the light plays important role in the paintings. Picasso uses shades of black and white to show all the different aspects and the painting. Goya uses the value of the light to direct our attention to the main events in the painting. The lines in Guernica is more curvy, where as Goya s third of May has more straight lines which effects the flow of the painting. In both of the paintings the background of the paintings are very similar. People, places, animals and things are being destroyed because of ruling issues. In Goya s painting to can see hopelessness and suffering on the man s face while begging for his life. Both of the paintings we can feel the senseless violence that was depicted. Shakespeare introduces the character to the audience portraying him as grief stricken due to the loss of his father. He is dressed in black and a somber mood. However, at some point, Hamlet behaves like a person who is out of his mind through his words and actions. Hamletis not insane as people assume he is. His character confuses not only the audience but the characters within the play. Every time the audience meets him, he is an entirely different person. He is a lonely sojourner with no friends left except Hoaratio whose loyalty and love for Hamlet are unconditional. However, Hamlet only acted as insane when there were people around him. Everything he did was premeditated and well calculated. As such he cannot be said to be insane since his actions reek of intelligence. He always passes his points through his insane acts and ramblings. When the ghost of his father appears and demands he seeks revenge, he feels the act of murdering a king is evil. He hates Claudius, but even pressure from the Ghost will not push him to commit murder. This contradicts the mad character he is supposed to portray. It draws the attention of the reader to the introspective and reflective nature of the prince. He passes up countless opportunities throughout the play to kill the king as even when he has an opportunity during the time Claudius is praying alone in his chambers. Now might I do it, now he is a praying, and now I ll don t? And so he goes to heaven, and so I revenged. A villain kills my father, and for that, I, his sole son, do this same villain send to heaven (3. 3. 75). he reasons out that killing his uncle will take the villain to heaven. The logic with which he makes his arguments cannot be made by an insane person. When the prince is finally ready to kill the king, he uses fate as a scapegoat to escape the reality of the crime he is about to commit. His feibgnhsnh ignorance on the world He says thus, since no man knows aught of what he leaves, what isn t to leave betimes? Let be. There are countless instances where sentencing will vary when referring to the same crime. It is common for women to be perceived as more innocent, and the caretakers. These may serve as contributing factors as to why judges are possibly more lenient in sentencing female offenders. Different demographic and extralegal factors such as race, ethnicity, and age are also contributing factors to this theory (Doerner,

For Nora s entire life, society has forced her to succumb to its expectations of a woman s role as a devoted mother, rather than to her personal desires. However, in raising the children, she continues to reinforce these societal traditions. For example, Nora plays a game of hide and seek with her children. Although this amusement may seem infantile, the game itself is based on deception with its emphasis on concealment. Symbolically, Nora continues to hide behind the female persona of a mother. In the game, Nora replies, Yes, let me hide first (1023). As a mother, Nora sets the standards for her children. Thus, in essence, she is telling her children that it is acceptable to hide your true, individual desires. She therefore continues the repressive chain through the symbolic game of hide and seek, as she calls her children her little, lovely doll babies and encourages them in this entertainment (1023). However, Nora soon learns of Krogstad s discovery of her forgery. She then recognizes that she cannot continue to conceal her past with a clear conscience. As a result, she never plays hide and seek with the children again, and, as a result, symbolically recognizes the fact that she can t be together with them as much as [she] was (1031, original). She

The best way to deal with someone that has a concussion is to be patient with them because they will have a hard time right after getting a concussion remembering anything. Even after discussing ALS, CTE, and concussions and head trauma, why is it that so far, only the NFL has taken a step in the right direction with new helmets for their players? The one set apart from football, is that it requires equipment for protection unlike soccer, where the players wear only shin guards to protect their legs from other players. Even in sports like lacrosse, there is minimal protective gear given to athletes. The most likely athletes to get ALS, CTE or Concussions are boxers. Their job is all about hitting their opponent until he is knocked out, or the rounds end. Unconsciousness is one of the side effects of a concussion and there seems to be a connection between boxing and CTE as well, except CTE is contracted through multiple hits to the head without unconsciousness. The NFL seems to be the only national sports league that has started taking steps to reduce the risk of concussions, or an ALS/CTE diagnosis. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church is one of the five monophysite churches, characterised by their rejection of the Council of Chalcedon 451 AD(Ethiopian) This council was convened in an effort to create uniformity in regards to doctrine amongst varying christian sects. One of the many decisions agreed upon was that God had two distinct natures in Christ. He began his rebellion when property holders, including himself, began losing their belongings through confiscations for unpaid debts and taxes and became subject to debtor s imprisonment. Protests then followed, with threats of violence against the courts conducting the enforcements and arraignments. This is when Shays arose as one of the several leaders of what came to be known as Shays Rebellion. After the Rebellion was over, he and approximately a dozen others were sentenced to death by the Supreme Court of Massachusetts. However, towards the end of the rebellion, Shays had escaped to Vermont, soon afterwards he moved to Schoharie county, New York, and then a few years later moved further west to Sparta, New York. Shays, in his old age, was granted a retirement pension by the federal government for the five years he served in the Continental Army without pay. He lived the last couple years of his life in poverty, as a heavy drinker and supported himself on his pension by working a small piece of land. He later

The debate can be summarized in a single question; what is art and what is artifact? Obviously when asked that question an answer immediately springs to our minds, most likely an image of a famous artwork we were shown in elementary school and perhaps an image of an archaeological dig site but the question stands; what is art and what is artifact? Throughout this piece of writing I will be showing the changes within Macbeths character, which is the only character within the play that has visible changes in his character. I will be describing these points by inspecting the asides and soliloquies, which are both dramatic ironies that place the audience in a privileged position as they are introduced to the characters thought pattern that gives them an insight to how he may be feeling. All of which is unbeknown to other characters in the scene. In Act I, Sc iii, when Macbeth is told that he is the Thane of Cawdor, he is ... Act IV, Sc I shows how Macbeth believes only in the witches, he trusts them and makes all his plans and arrangement according to their prophecies. This doesn t only show us a mental change but also how Macbeth lost his morality, honesty, and nobility and became more frenzied, no more mercy to be thought of or shown and decides, The firstlings of my heart shall be The firstling of my hand. Comparing this to the first soliloquy in my piece of writing we perceive a tremendous development of his personality and attitude. He is not hesitant about killing any more and will do any thing to keep his throne and power. Following his meeting with the witches they tell him to be ware Macduff and macbeth acts upon this warning by sending murderers to kill His wife, his babes, and all unfortunate souls this act shows in depth how immoral he becomes. It didn t stop with killing the king, his friend, Lady Macduff and her children; Macbeth has lost even the sense of what does love and family mean and becomes more selfish. In Act V, Sc v, the servant informs Macbeth of the distressing sorrowful news about the death of Lady Macbeth But he replies with cold nerves: She should have died hereafter; There would have been a time for such a word His wife is not one of his main concerns; he does not even respect the sanctity
  • 36. The Case For Martin s Father This topic is one that is very close to my heart. I have a very good friend named Martin. For many years his family owned a home in Orlando. Unfortunately, his dad lost his job during the economic crisis a few years ago. Martin s family came close to foreclosing, but an investor stepped in and offered them a rent to own deal. They have been rentingthe home now since 2012 and hope that they will be able to purchase the home again in the next few years. The rent to own option is a feasible option for many families that have experienced rough times and have lost their homes. It gives them the opportunity to have a home ownership lifestyle while they are rebuilding their credit. It also allows time to re establish work tenure and income history. I know this has been the case for Martin s father. After being out of work for almost 2 years, his father has been gainfully re employed now for about 8 months. When he builds more time on his job, they should be in a position to get another mortgage on their home. The rent to own option also gives people the opportunity to try out the home and make sure they really like it before making a long term investment. Also, they have a chance to learn the neighborhood before taking the plunge. I have never purchased a home, but I would bet that many current homeowners wish that they had the opportunity to do a trial run before diving head first into their home purchase. But maybe for some people, the goal should not be to go all in on

This view is incorrect because the revival of the classics and the wide use of all of the different artistic techniques during the Renaissance such as realism and perspective were only possible because of the ideas and artwork that pervaded Europe. For example, the Northern Renaissance occurred partly because merchants bought art and books from Italian merchants and spread it through northern Europe where countless people viewed it and began creating similar paintings. Some major works such as the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter s Basilica were in prominent places where many people would go to for religious reasons, and thus, a great amount of people were exposed to the work as well. In contrast to the Renaissance, during the Middle Ages there was no perspective or dimension, the temper paint was dull and unimaginative, and there was no realism or individualism. Lee would have been very meticulous about recording his findings, very much like an anthropologist today. When we try to understand why the characters act as they act and what drives each of them, the viewers are inevitably drawn to the conclusion that they are just like them. They realize they are human; they have both good qualities and bad qualities. Spike Lee also makes them understand that at times they may make terrible mistakes, and that at other times they may display admirable heroism, and that sometimes they simply act without knowing why. Spike Lee does more than try to show his viewers that despite tensions, this Black neighborhood is a community. What Lee does is he makes the viewers think. He simply presents events as they are leaving the viewer to figure out the motives of the characters and the why behind the course of events. Lee doesn t really put a positive light on any particular race while shadowing the other ones. He doesn t try to make conflicts have an obvious solution. Biblical Perspectives On The Roles And Status Of Women In the last twenty years, there has been a marked increase in monographs, collaborative studies, and periodical literature that have focused on biblical perspectives on the roles and status of women. While more than fifty years ago this subject received sustained attention in only a few books published in Europe and the United States, by no means does the scope of the treatment, the stances espoused, and the variety of volumes seen today compare with those found in earlier studies that appeared shortly after the turn of the last century. Doubtless, the current preoccupation with this subject is a barometer of the legitimate perception, in some quarters, that women have not been accorded in modern society anything that approaches what the Bibleitself, at times, seems to demand or at least to imply strongly in terms of equality. Yet, it is troubling that most, if not at all, of this literature, which purports to study the roles and status of women in the Bible, invariably appears to have been written for the specific benefit of Anglo Saxon or Jewish women of today as opposed to black and other women of the Third World who find themselves in far more wretched circumstances than their more privileged female counterparts. For this reason, it is necessary for the black women in ministry to educate themselves and study some of the lines along which the biblical witness provides images and themes for the uplift, liberation and divinely inspired leadership not just of women

During my visit on the twentieth I was able to both see the test creation process in a PLC and participate in the creation of some questions. Two of the three teacher I have been able to spend time with in the classroom, the first being in internship and the second, Mrs. Casanova with service learning. Both teachers employ direct instruction as their primary means of conveying information, with Mrs. Casanova using it more than the honors and AP teachers. However, within the PLC the test questions were being created for all classes, rather than having separate questions for AP, honors, and regular classes, with the only difference being the written response questions being more challenging in upper classes. Due to this, content evidence was very important, especially for the upper classes, as they technically would be getting the same test as a regular. Beyond this however, the instruction leading up to the test also had to be evaluated as the questions were made with AP in mind. According to the book, content evidence connects to state standards and what the students need to know based off this, which should be reflected within the instruction (pg. 396). Over the past 7 years, Netflix streaming has expanded from thousands of members watching a show from time to time to millions of members watching over two billion hours every single month. Each time a member starts to watch a movie or TV episode, a view is created in the data systems, and a collection of events describing that view is gathered. Given that viewing is what members spend most of their time doing on Netflix, having a robust and scalable architecture to manage and process this data is critical to the success of the business. A huge part of Netflix s success can be attributed to their successful implementation of managerial information system. Netflix records data on content that consumers have watched in the past and bases suggested movies and TV shows based that particular consumer s history. This provides the consumer with a highly personalized streaming experience that tailors showcases all the material Netflix has to offer that would actually interest that one customer. Netflix s competitor Hulu didn t implement such data mining strategies right away and instead observed Netflix to see if their implementation of datamining would be successful. While they were awaiting results from Netflix, Hulu would just show their customers all of their available content from the menu screen. This caused a very convoluted and overwhelming menu screen to pick out a movie or show from. It s this accessibility that drove Netflix to surpass other streaming services such

Using bitcoin as a currency also delves into the problem where users purchase illegal objects and substances anonymously. Bitcoin is essentially an electronic cash currency and is perceived as a great success since its launch in 2009. Most e cash schemes require a centralized bank, which acts as a safeguard for potential scams or for double spending detection. (Simon Barber et al. 2012 p 401), In contrast, the bitcoin protocol allows individuals to freely send bitcoins without any third party interference. The fee for sending bitcoins is very little in comparison to other online payment methods such as PayPal thus bitcoin is considered to be cost efficient. (Grinberg, R. 2012 p 160). Bitcoin is considered ethical because it is unique to the characteristics of credit cards. Banks have attempted to remove the issue of fraud and find mechanisms to stop hackers and phishers from obtaining personal data. I have a neighbour who often drove her three kids to school. I m too polite to have told her off for this, but they lived a 10 minute walk from both grade school and high school. What was she thinking? This kind of attitude as well as the one that sees city officials failing to put sidewalks on all of their streets makes me crazy. Walking is one of the best things we can do. This advice is particularly true for writers. Why? Because in order to write, we need to think, first. And thinking at our desks instead of out in fresh air, while we re moving our bodies is almost always a spectacularly bad idea. When we sit, our brains become leaden. But when we walk, our hearts pump faster and our brains and other organs get more blood and oxygen. Scientists have shown this helps our memories work better and improves our attention. The gentle exercise of walking also leads to new connections between brain cells, holding at bay the usual decline of brain tissue that comes with age. Even as my hair turns grey, I m glad to know that I don t have to listen to contemporary music to keep my brain younger. Furthermore, walking also has a positive impact on creativity. In 2014, researchers from Stanford published a set of studies designed to measure the way walking changes creativity. When did
