"management is doing things
right; leadership is doing the right things.“
 “Manager manages things ,leaders lead
people”
It is necessary to be good leader first to be a
good manager
 Autocratic- movie major payne
 Democratic- movie avengers
 Transformational – pay it forward
 Charismatic –forest gump
 Laissez faire- any given sunday
 A leader who makes all of the decisions with
little to no consultation with the group .
 Primary focus is the task and not the
relationship with members
 As one can see, major payne show little or
no affection for any character in this film
and things always go his way or the person
gets some sort of punishment
 This type of leadership is the one that works
with the whole group .the primary focus is on
the both the task and the social dimensions
of the group
 In this clip you can see that the way they
work and discuss the problems in the group
.although they are fighting ,they are still
showing each persons opinions being taken
into consideration
 The ability to inspire followers to act toward
a greater good beyond their own self
interests
 This requires a high amount of symbolic
behavior and it supports the common god of
any one person.

 This type of leader is closely related to the
transformative type . Unlike charismatic
leadership is not found easily in all groups .
the person has to have extraordinary
qualities that move followers
 Forest gump is a charismatic leader because
of how he does extraordinary events and
does not make a big deal when he saved
someone’s life helped jenny and is patient
with everyone
Laissez-faire leadership, is a type of leadership
style in which leaders are hands-off and
allow group members to make the decisions.
Researchers have found that this is generally
the leadership style that leads to the lowest
productivity among group members.
