2. The Social Change Model does not value leaders who
hold a particular office or position.
Instead, the Social Change Model leader leads by
example and works for the betterment of others.
3. Leadership is socially responsible
As I have gone through my term as president, I have
been constantly reminded that I need to lead by
example. I must act responsibly in the eyes of my
members. If I do not lead by example, my members
will not be responsible either.
4. Leadership is collaborative
As a leader, it is important for me to collaborate with
my officers and members. It is important to
collaborate for idea-sharing and brain storming
purposes.
5. Leadership is a process, not a position
Like the artists model, leadership is a creative process
that every leader must go through in order to find their
personal style.
6. Leadership is inclusive and accessible to all people.
Hearing every voice, including minority opinions
marks the qualities of a good leader. Everyone must
feel included else apathy will take hold of their
attitudes.

It is important to uphold the values that your
organization was founded upon and to not stray from
those values.
