Grace Murray Hopper
Kouzees and Posner identified that leaders are suitable
during the time of turbulence, conflict, innovation, and
change whereas managers are suitable to maintain
stability, harmony, maintenance, and constancy.
Prerequisites of Organizational
Leaders
 Three important competencies, i.e. Self management, leading people,
and task management are the prerequisites of organizational leaders.
 Self Management Dimensions: It includes work habits, work attitudes,
stress management, self- insight, learning, leader’s action to self
management.
 Leading People: It includes communication, interpersonal awareness,
developing commitment and motivation, developing others, and
influencing.
 Task Management: Executing tasks, solving problems, Managing
information and material resources, managing human resources,
enhancing member performance.

Prerequisites of Organizational Leaders  Three important competencies, i.e. Self management, leading people, and task management are the prerequisites of organizational leaders.  Self Management Dimensions: It includes work habits, work attitudes, stress management, self- insight, learning, leader’s action to self management.  Leading People: It includes communication, interpersonal awareness, developing commitment and motivation, developing others, and influencing.  Task Management: Executing tasks, solving problems, Managing information and material resources, managing human resources, enhancing member performance.
