This research report examines language learning strategies used by second language learners in Pakistan. An interview-based study found that the most frequently used strategy is practice. Specifically, practice was the dominant strategy for listening (95%), reading (69%), and writing (49%). Memorization was also commonly used for speaking (89%) and vocabulary (45%). The findings contradict the researcher's initial hypothesis that memorization would be the sole strategy used. The report concludes that making learners aware of various language learning strategies can help improve the language learning process.
