Introduction
1. In response to the issues of low reading proficiency and learning loss among
learners in the entire country, our region launched the Project CNR or Care for Nor
Min Readers, a region-wide reading program that is aimed at making elementary
and high school learners an independent readers in English and in Filipino. It is a
perfect opportunity to be here since we will be gaining knowledge and enhancing
our strategies for teaching reading to our learners and will be able to plan out and
implement activities to improve their academic performance. Good morning,

Earlier we had been guided with setting the right goals and what to put to our RPMS for
us to be rated Outstanding for the upcoming MIDYEAR Review. While it is truly important
to have similar goals, it is also necessary to establish the right expectations so we could
move as one, into a single direction.
