INTRODUCTION
Labour saving devices are tools
or appliances used to save both
time and energy of the
homemaker. They are helpful
because they save energy,
money and time in several ways.
TOASTER
Is used to expose various types of
sliced bread to radiant heat
browning the bread so it becomes a
toast. It is also used for prolonging
the life of the bread.
CARE AND STORAGE
Brush out the crumb tray once a
week and wipe the exterior
everyday. You can use a toothbrush
to clean the inside.
Put the toaster on top of a chopping
board because of the heat. After use
put it on the counter to keep it safe
from rodents and breeding bacteria
SQUEEZER
Is used to extract juice from
lemons, oranges, grapes and
other citric fruits
CARE AND STORAGE
Clean the squeezer after every
use and once dried up put it in
the cupboard
BLENDER
Is used to emulsify, liquify or
puree food. It can be used to
make juices and milkshakes.
CARE AND STORAGE
Clean the blender immediately
after use and do not immerse it
in water or rinse it under
running water
Keep the blender in a dry place
STEAMER
It is used for cooking various
foods using steam with the help
of the boiling water.

Wash with cloth moistened in
solution of mild detergent and
warm water. Rinse with a fresh
cloth moistened with warm
water.
Stack the baskets inside each
other and drain the water before

PRESSURE COOKER
Is an airtight cooking device that cooks quickly thanks to the
steam pressure that builds up inside. It is used to cook slow
cook dishes because it is faster, saves energy and saves
tons of time.
CARE AND STORAGE
Avoid leaving food inside the pressure cooker overnight to
avoid heavy duty cleaning the next day and discoloration. Do
not use abrasives or metal scouring pads when cleaning it.

or barley.
