This document discusses the travel request processes and requirements at NwSSU. It outlines the functions of the Personnel Development Committee which includes providing continuous capacity building for staff through training, ensuring all staff receive at least one learning intervention annually, and determining training needs. It also discusses the Learning Application Plan and Re-Entry Action Plan which are tools used to monitor and ensure the transfer of learning back to the individual's work to enhance organizational outcomes.

3. Functions of the Personnel Development
Committee (PDC)
• Provides support for the continuous capacity building of NwSSU staff
through their attendance in training based on the approved Learning
and Development Plan;
• Ensures that all officials, faculty and staff of the NwSSU regardless of
sex, gender, civil status, disability, religion, ethnicity or political
affiliation shall be provided at least one (1) Learning and
Development Intervention annually; and

4. Functions of the Personnel Development
Committee (PDC)
• Determines the training and development needs of the
faculty and staff of the University, including local and foreign
scholarships, in accordance with the organizational priorities.

5. Learning Application Plan (LAP) and Re- entry
Action Plan (REAP)
• LAP and REAP are M&E tools used to ensure the transfer of
learning.
• LAP and REAP translate individual learning to contribute to
enhancing organizational outcomes.
• LAP is an M&E tool which ensures that the learning gained
by the personnel from the developmental intervention be
applied in his/her respective work area.
• REAP commences after the completion of the
scholarship/short-courses.
