- 4. 1. KWL as a learning strategy. Let’s start with the first set of slides
- 5. A KWL table, or KWL chart, is a graphical organizer designed to help in learning. 5
- 6. It was created by Donna Ogle in 1986. 6
- 7. The letters KWL are :- K= what students Know! W= what Ss Want to know! L=what Ss need to Learn. 7
- 8. A KWL chart can be used for all subjects in a whole group or small group atmosphere. 8
- 9. The chart is a comprehension strategy used to activate background knowledge 9

- 27. • Greenhouse Gas: A gas which traps the sun's heat: • Water vapor (H2O) • Carbon dioxide (CO2) - exhaust from cars and power plants (electricity). • Methane (CH4) - from decomposing organic matter. 27
