 Koalas are mostly nocturnal animals. This means that they sleep in the
daytime, and move around and feed at night.
 They carry their young in a pouch.
Description

 The fur colour varies from light grey to brown.
Where do they live?
 They live in the east of Australia because there are lots of eucalyptus trees.
Feeding
 The principal aliment of the koalas are the eucalyptus leaves.
 An adult koala eats about 1/2 - 1 kilogram of leaves every day.
Reproduction
 The koala’s gestation lasts 35 days.
 Koala babies are known as 'joeys'.
 When joeys are born, they are only 2 centimetres long.
