February in 1882. He was an Italian painter considered the representative of romanticism. It
comes from a humble family. As a child he liked drawing and his uncle helped him learn how
to paint different paintings as he really liked it.
In 1809 he won a competition from the Venetian academy.
In 1814 he left Rome after suffering an aggression due to a sentimental relationship and he
left to live in Naples.
