This document describes an experiment to observe osmosis in eggs. Students placed eggs in vinegar, corn syrup, and water and measured changes. They found that the egg in corn syrup shrank and became puffy as the egg's liquid entered the lower concentrated corn syrup. Meanwhile, the egg in water absorbed the liquid and became larger and squishy as the water had a lower concentration than the egg. The experiment showed that osmosis causes liquids to move from higher to lower concentrated solutions across a membrane.
