Kids Against Hunger is a non-profit organization founded by Richard Proudfit that packages and distributes nutritious meals to starving children in over 60 countries around the world in order to significantly reduce childhood hunger globally and transition families from starvation to self-sufficiency. The organization accomplishes its mission by involving volunteers in the United States and Canada to package soy-rice casserole meals that are then distributed through humanitarian partners worldwide.

- 2. What is the problem? We live in a world where problems exist. Unfortunately one of those problems, that affects over a billion people on God’s green earth, is starvation and malnutrition.

Shocking Statistics It is estimated that Every 6 seconds a more than 1 billion child dies from people do not have hunger related enough food to eat causes Estimates say that Many experts agree around 25,000 that we produce people die each day enough food to due to hunger adequately feed the related causes. world 1 in 6 people in the world go to bed hungry at night
- 4. Richard Proudfit was a direct witness to starvation. During volunteer efforts in South America, helping with disaster relief, he noticed the dangerous affects of hunger. He recalls during his trip hearing a voice telling him “feed my starving children”. After leaving South America, Richard decided to take on hunger. Being a successful entrepreneur and a millionaire, Richard used his resources and connections too take on the problem.
- 5. • Enter his brain child, Kids Against Hunger. Kids Against Hunger is a non profit organization, who’s mission is to significantly reduce the number of starving children in the U.S and around the world. • Using a specifically designed food formula developed by food scientists, it consists of being a highly nutritious meal at a low cost. • The food mix contains over 21 vitamins and minerals and meets all the nutritional needs of a malnourished individual!
- 6. Volunteer to come in and package at a Kids Against Hunger facility. Donate to help cover the cost of the meals Open a Kids Against Hunger location if one is not near you Host a mobile packing event where Kids Against Hunger will come to you!
