Diabetes is caused by the body's inability to produce or effectively use insulin. Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas that helps glucose enter cells to produce energy. In diabetes, beta cells in the pancreas do not produce enough insulin or cells do not respond properly to insulin, causing glucose to build up in the bloodstream instead of being used for energy. The main types of diabetes are type 1, an autoimmune disease where the immune system destroys beta cells, and type 2 where the body can no longer produce sufficient insulin to regulate blood glucose levels. Genetic and environmental factors both contribute to diabetes risk.

It notes that 93% of headaches are cervicogenic, or coming from the neck, and discusses triggers like stress, medications, toxicity, and deficiencies. Solutions provided include identifying the source of headaches, correcting deficiencies or toxicity, getting chiropractic adjustments to remove nerve interference, drinking water, and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
This document discusses the anatomy, physiology, and common pathologies of the thoracic spine and nervous system. It provides examples of patients who experienced improvements in conditions like high blood pressure, arthritis, and the reduction or elimination of medications after receiving chiropractic care focused on the thoracic spine. The document emphasizes the importance of the thoracic spine, diaphragm, and nervous system in maintaining overall health and reducing disease risk.
In 1905, Dr. Nicolai Korotkoff announced a new method for determining blood pressure by listening to sounds in the arteries as a blood pressure cuff is deflated. Since then, several theories have been proposed to explain the sounds Korotkoff heard, including cavitation, turbulence in the arteries, and the transmission of heart sounds. Measuring blood pressure provides important health information, but an elevated reading can have many causes, which is why there are over 100 drugs available to treat high blood pressure.
This document summarizes issues related to women's cancer and modern cancer treatment approaches. It notes that cancer rates have increased dramatically in recent decades despite little change in survival rates. Conventional treatments like chemotherapy, radiation and surgery are discussed, as well as alternatives like diet changes, supplements and non-toxic therapies. Concerns about environmental toxins, pharmaceutical drugs, and other modern factors that may contribute to cancer risks are also presented. The document advocates for patient empowerment and informed consent regarding cancer treatment options.
This document provides information on finding balance, harmony, and passion in life. It discusses that passion is the genesis of genius, and fear is the passion of slaves. Happiness can come from experiences, accomplishments, sensual pleasure, material possessions, physical appearance, financial success, and solitude. Being successful involves self-development, achievement, recognition, material possessions, popularity, personal freedom, and creativity. The highest values are inspired while the lowest values are motivated. Balance is supported through challenges. Inspiration comes from within while motivation minimizes pain and maximizes pleasure. Priorities and values include how one spends time and money and what energizes and disciplines them. Perception of a partner will equal reality, and treating a partner
The document discusses the importance of sleep for health and provides tips for improving sleep. It notes that sleep between 11 PM - 1 AM is important for optimal functioning as it allows for deep sleep and REM sleep. It warns that lack of sleep can increase risks of various diseases and conditions. The document recommends getting checked for chiropractic subluxations, losing weight, avoiding stimulants before bed, keeping a regular sleep schedule and dark/cool bedroom to promote better sleep.
Water comprises over 70% of the human body and covers 70% of the planet. However, surface and ground water sources are being depleted and polluted due to over-pumping, which is exacerbating water crises. Alternative sources like bottled water are problematic due to waste and potential for contamination. Water filtration and choosing sustainable sources can help address issues of access to clean drinking water.
This document discusses the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the thoracic spine and nervous system. It provides examples of patients who presented with various thoracic spine issues like scoliosis, fractures, and hyperkyphosis. Through chiropractic care focused on posture, exercise, and nutrition, many patients were able to reduce symptoms, medications, and regain mobility. The role of the nervous system in maintaining health and the effects of stress are also examined.
The document discusses the history and effectiveness of measles vaccination programs in the United States and other countries. It notes that measles outbreaks were reported even in fully vaccinated populations in the early 1980s. Some studies found that measles vaccines were not provoking a proper immune response or providing long-lasting immunity. A CDC whistleblower later revealed that a 2004 study had found that the MMR vaccine was linked to a 340% increased risk of autism in African American boys under 3 years old, but this data was covered up by the CDC.
Taking NSAIDs like ibuprofen is associated with an increased risk of high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. The study found that NSAID use of 10 or more times per month was linked to over a 10-fold rise in heart failure risk. Regular NSAID use has also been tied to arthritis, gastrointestinal bleeding, skin conditions like toxic epidermal necrolysis, and certain cancers like pancreatic cancer in women. Chiropractic care and lifestyle changes like exercise, nutrition, rest, and stress management can help address the root causes of headaches and migraines as an alternative to toxic medications.
This document provides information on finding balance, harmony, and passion in life. It discusses that passion is the genesis of genius, and fear is the passion of slaves. Happiness can come from experiences, accomplishments, sensual pleasure, material possessions, physical appearance, financial success, and solitude. Priorities and values include how one spends time and money and what energizes and disciplines them. Perception of a partner will equal reality, and treating a partner
The document discusses the importance of exercise for both physical and mental health. It notes that mental functions have a physical basis in the brain. It then describes the different types of muscles in the body and how they are controlled. It emphasizes that regular exercise of postural muscles through activities like resistance training and walking can improve balance, strength, and proprioception. Maintaining good posture and avoiding prolonged sitting are also recommended for health.
The document discusses several potential causes and risks associated with depression and Alzheimer's disease. It notes that depression affects over 40 million Americans and is the 4th leading cause of disability worldwide, costing over $200 billion per year. Several sections discuss research linking depression to factors like aluminum, MSG, chemical exposures, and nutritional deficiencies. The document also warns of risks associated with antidepressant medications, including increased suicidal thoughts in children and questions about their effectiveness compared to placebos.
The document discusses the link between nutrition and mental health. It notes that recent studies have found no link between saturated fat intake and heart disease risk, contradicting conventional beliefs. Vitamins can be more effectively utilized by the body with help from saturated fats. The document also discusses the rise of mental illness diagnoses and prescription drug use in the US. It questions the effectiveness of psychiatric drugs and suggests addressing the nutritional deficiencies underlying mental health conditions.
Steve Jobs was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at age 48 in 2003, with symptoms starting at age 24. He died from the disease at age 56 in 2011. Vitamin D from moderate sun exposure without sunscreen may help lower the risk of certain cancers like pancreatic, as it is nearly 50% less likely in those with higher vitamin D levels from sun exposure. While surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy have been standard cancer treatments for decades, they have shown little improvement in overall survival rates for all cancers in the last 55 years. Alternative non-toxic treatments exist but are suppressed.
The document discusses vaccination against shingles and the varicella zoster virus. It provides background on shingles, including that it is caused by reactivation of the same virus that causes chickenpox. It notes statistics on shingles incidence and effectiveness of the Zostavax vaccine in reducing risk. It also discusses natural immune system suppression of the virus and factors that can increase risk of shingles reactivation like aging, stress, and immunosuppression.
This document discusses how changing one's thinking can change one's life. It emphasizes focusing on potential rather than limitations, and using positive self-talk. It notes that fear often stops people from achieving goals and recommends making bold decisions instead of holding onto the status quo. Changing limiting beliefs through questioning assumptions can help one dance past the fear of decisions. Taking action and changing one's state, story, and strategies are presented as ways to overcome crises and achieve what one wants in life.
The document discusses how experiences shape the brain and emotions. It explains that thoughts and feelings produce chemical changes in the body, and neurons that fire together wire together, meaning consistent patterns of thought and emotion become ingrained. This leads to discussions on mindfulness, neuroplasticity, meditation, exercise, and how changing one's thinking can literally change the brain and produce different emotions. The overall message is that we have power to change our personality and personal reality by becoming self-aware of how our experiences and thinking patterns affect our brain chemistry and emotions.

Congestive Heart failure is caused by low cardiac output and high sympathetic discharge. Diuretics reduce preload, ACE inhibitors lower afterload, beta blockers reduce sympathetic activity, and digitalis has inotropic effects. Newer medications target vasodilation and myosin activation to improve heart efficiency while lowering energy requirements. Combination therapy, following an assessment of cardiac function and volume status, is the most effective strategy to heart failure care.

GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS AND GASTRITIS
Osvaldo Bernardo Muchanga
Gastrointestinal Infections
GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS result from the ingestion of pathogens that cause infections at the level of this tract, generally being transmitted by food, water and hands contaminated by microorganisms such as E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Rotavirus among others that are generally contained in feces, thus configuring a FECAL-ORAL type of transmission.
Among the factors that lead to the occurrence of gastrointestinal infections are the hygienic and sanitary deficiencies that characterize our markets and other places where raw or cooked food is sold, poor environmental sanitation in communities, deficiencies in water treatment (or in the process of its plumbing), risky hygienic-sanitary habits (not washing hands after major and/or minor needs), among others.
These are generally consequences (signs and symptoms) resulting from gastrointestinal infections: diarrhea, vomiting, fever and malaise, among others.
The treatment consists of replacing lost liquids and electrolytes (drinking drinking water and other recommended liquids, including consumption of juicy fruits such as papayas, apples, pears, among others that contain water in their composition).
To prevent this, it is necessary to promote health education, improve the hygienic-sanitary conditions of markets and communities in general as a way of promoting, preserving and prolonging PUBLIC HEALTH.
Gastritis and Gastric Health
Gastric Health is one of the most relevant concerns in human health, with gastrointestinal infections being among the main illnesses that affect humans.
Among gastric problems, we have GASTRITIS AND GASTRIC ULCERS as the main public health problems. Gastritis and gastric ulcers normally result from inflammation and corrosion of the walls of the stomach (gastric mucosa) and are generally associated (caused) by the bacterium Helicobacter pylor, which, according to the literature, this bacterium settles on these walls (of the stomach) and starts to release urease that ends up altering the normal pH of the stomach (acid), which leads to inflammation and corrosion of the mucous membranes and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
In addition to bacterial infections, gastritis and gastric ulcers are associated with several factors, with emphasis on prolonged fasting, chemical substances including drugs, alcohol, foods with strong seasonings including chilli, which ends up causing inflammation of the stomach walls and/or corrosion. of the same, resulting in the appearance of wounds and consequent gastritis or ulcers, respectively.
Among patients with gastritis and/or ulcers, one of the dilemmas is associated with the foods to consume in order to minimize the sensation of pain and discomfort.

Kidney health
1. KIDNEY HEALTH AND DISEASE
The Burden of Kidney Failure
•U.S.A. 100,000 people are diagnosed with kidney failure
• Kidney failure is the final stage of chronic kidney disease
•Diabetes is the most common cause of kidney failure
• 44 percent of new cases are from Diabetes
•24 million people in the United States have diabetes
•180,000 people are living with kidney failure from diabetes
•U.S. citizens who develop kidney failure are eligible for federally
funded care
•care for patients with kidney failure cost U.S.A. nearly $32 billion
3. Blood Health
One microliter of blood contains:
4.7 to 6.1 million (male), RBC
Blood pH is regulated to stay within the
narrow range of 7.35 to 7.45,
• cells of blood are made in the bone marrow
• RBC have a plasma life of about 120 days
• Spleen
Erythropoiesis
•red blood cells (erythrocytes) are
produced.
•It is stimulated by decreased O2 in
circulation, which is detected by the
kidneys
•which then secrete the hormone
erythropoietin
•stimulates proliferation RBC
4. THE NEPHRONS
• most kidney drugs target the
nephrons. Diuretics
•
• nephrons is that they are very,
very tiny – and therefore easily
plugged.
• When plugged, they become
inflamed and infected and die.
• high blood sugar and high insulin
– which is why diabetes and
kidney disease go hand in hand.
5. KIDNEY = 180 BLOOD LITERS PER DAY
PRODUCES 2 LITERS OF URINE.
• a process of selective filtration
• removes waste and potential toxins from the blood
• balance key biochemicals and hormones in the blood.
6. KIDNEYS THE ULTIMATE ORGAN
•Every day process about 200
quarts of blood to sift out about 2
quarts of waste products
•erythropoietin, or EPO, which
stimulates the bone marrow to
make red blood cells
•renin, which regulates blood
pressure
•calcitriol, the active form of
vitamin D, which helps maintain
calcium for bones
•Regulates chemicals like
sodium, phosphorus, and
potassium
About 15 percent of the people on
dialysis today are there as a result of
the damage that Tylenol and/or
aspirin did to their kidneys.
7. DAILY ASPIRIN INEFFECTIVE AND DANGEROUS
Patients took a daily dose of aspirin use for cardiovascular prophylaxis (325 mg/d).
• The researchers note that "Conventional nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
(NSAIDs) are associated with a spectrum of toxic effects," something which many
patients are likely unaware of.
• The most obvious and striking thing about these results is the tremendous rise in
risk of aspirin users :GI complication risks up to 450%.
Additionally, GI blood loss, GI intolerance, liver toxicity, or kidney damage.
• The authors note that "No difference was noted in the incidence of cardiovascular
events … irrespective of aspirin use."

The central pathogenesis involves the formation of subepithelial immune
deposits that are responsible for functional impairment of the glomerular
capillary wall.
Bovine serum albumin is one of the cow's milk and beef proteins that can
escape from the intestinal barrier and thus induce formation of anti–bovine
serum albumin antibodies.
Today, food ingredients are subjected to a variety of processing conditions that
may induce modification of their proteins, which could affect the digestion of
these proteins and allow their passage into the bloodstream.

recombinants in vivo
infection with a virulent virus can produce disease in an animal
the ability of a mixture of avirulent viruses to produce disease by means of
complementation or recombination in vivo has not been established.
In this study, two weakly neuroinvasive herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1)
strains were simultaneously inoculated onto the footpads of mice.
•Many (62%) of the animals that received a 1:1 mixture of the viruses died
•the animals that received a similar or 100-fold higher dose of each agent
alone survived.
These results show that two avirulent HSV-1 variants may
interact in vivo to produce virulent recombinants and a
lethal infection.

19. Purpose
We reviewed 19 studies of mammals fed with commercialized genetically
modified soybean and maize which represent, per trait and plant, more than
80% of all environmental genetically modified organisms (GMOs) cultivated on
a large scale, after they were modified to tolerate or produce a pesticide.
We have also obtained the raw data of 90-day-long rat tests following court
actions or official requests. The data obtained include biochemical blood and
urine parameters of mammals eating GMOs with numerous organ weights and
histopathology findings.
Results
Several convergent data appear to indicate liver and kidney problems as end
points of GMO diet effects …which revealed that the kidneys were particularly
affected, concentrating 43.5% of all disrupted parameters in males, whereas
the liver was more specifically disrupted in females (30.8% of all disrupted
parameters).
Environmental Sciences Europe 2011, 23:10
20. Conclusions
The 90-day-long tests are insufficient to evaluate chronic
toxicity, and the signs highlighted in the kidneys and livers could
be the onset of chronic diseases.
However, no minimal length for the tests is yet obligatory for any
of the GMOs cultivated on a large scale, and this is socially
unacceptable in terms of consumer health protection.
We are suggesting that the studies should be improved and
prolonged, as well as being made compulsory, and that the
sexual hormones should be assessed too, and moreover,
reproductive and multigenerational studies ought to be
conducted too.
