1. Key Responsibility
Create the interior design concept, and control & coordinate the execution process on any projects.
My responsibility is but not limited to the following areas :
01- Lead the interior design effort to ensure that client concerns are addressed, and client design
desires are integrated.
02- Carryout the required design intent for the project for all phases (concept to execution) associated
with interior finishes, details, FF&E and signage to ensure that the documentation is applicable,
complete and accurate.
03- Ensure that the project goals, objectives, and visions are achieved.
04- Manage the interior project and ensure that contract milestones and terms and conditions are
met, on or below budget, on time or ahead of schedule and to the approved quality level. Also ensure
that the design team fulfills its contractual requirements for execution administration and that all
punch list items are prepared in a timely manner.
05- Direct and coordinate project designs with all team members and consultants to optimize efficicy
and minimize project risk and adverse schedule variance. Monitor adherence to design performance
and takes appropriate action to provide feedback on both positive and negative performance to the
Managing Director.
06- Directly manage sustainability efforts in the design of the project, ensuring that sustainability
goals are achieved for the project through careful review and monitoring of the design of the project.
Alertthe Managing Director and others as appropriate when expectations are not being met and work
with the Execution Project Manager to suggest mitigation strategies as issues arise in the execution
phase.
07- Manage the coordination of design staff with responsibility for monitoring and maintaining
consiency of technical designs for conflict and clash resolution and providing seamless integration of
all trades and pre execution processes.
08- Ensure design drawings and technical specifications are in compliance with the Statement of
Requirements, report on variances and recommended approaches to bring the design documents
into compliance.
09- Ensure that all health, safety and environmental design requirements have been identified as early
in the project as possible and that the design drawings reflect the approved requirements. If
appropate, ensure any risks are mitigated in the design and implemented.
10- Participate and assist in contract negotiations with contractors as required.
11- Devise a strategy for design trade coordination and the pre execution process input to maximize
performance following the design phase.
12- Manage with the Execution Project Manager, the direct oversight of field staff to ensure
complance with all applicable standards and conformity with the original design documents.
13- Assist the Execution Project Manager in tracking and reporting on all General Contractor, Subcon-
tractors, and Suppliers. Verify compliance with document design scopes, timeline, qualitative
stanards, and financial constraints.
14- Monitor and report all design progress with respect to design pro forma and guidelines, budget
schedule, and timeline to the Managing Director.
15- Support senior management and other project management staff in any other area as per
required Qualifications.
