RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Feb-Nov 2013 Bachelor of Science (Degree with Honours) in Medical Biology
Strasser Lab, Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division
Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, VIC, Australia
Honours thesis conducted with Dr. Lorraine O'Reilly and Professor Andreas
Strasser.
Generated an array of genetically-modified AGS and MKN28 human
gastric cancer cell lines, each of which harbours an inducible shRNA
construct targeting a particular member of the REL/Nuclear Factor-κB
(NF-κB) family of transcription factors.
Carried out functional analyses on these cells to gain insights into the
roles of NF-κB family members in promoting tumour cell survival,
metastasis, and pro-inflammatory cytokine production.
Learned to use the following techniques: mammalian cell culture,
lentiviral transduction, basic flow cytometry, cloning, PCR, DNA
isolation and purification, Western blotting.
Jul-Oct 2012 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) Internship
Strasser Lab, Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division
Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, VIC, Australia
Participated in an effort to investigate the contribution of the NF-κB
family of transcription factors in driving SLE-like autoimmune pathology
in FASlpr/lpr
mutant mice.
Learned to use the following techniques: microtomy,
immunohistochemistry, basic flow cytometry.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Mar 2014-present Research Assistant
Stem Cell and Cancer Institute, PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk.
Jakarta, Indonesia
Developed and optimized several characterization methods for human
mesenchymal stem cells, which utilized techniques such as flow
cytometry, in vitro cell culture, and real-time PCR.
Gained an understanding of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
currently required for the manufacturing of biological products.
Nov-Dec 2013 Casual Research Assistant
Strasser Lab, Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division
Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, VIC, Australia
Cloned shRNA sequences targeting members of the NF-κB family into
an mCherry-expressing construct.
Mar-May 2011 Student Leader
Mar-May 2012 Chemistry Transition Assistance Program, Faculty of Science
