Kelsey Duska joined our Company in March 2013. Her primary role was Marketing Director. In
addition to her marketing activity, Kelsey was a key participant in product line development and
client support.
Original Source is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality giftware, home décor and
jewelry. I am company president and co-founder. We have been in business for 20 years. I am
responsible for managing our Beijing-based office and supporting our US-based sales force.
Marketing Director – Her daily duties included the development, maintenance and distribution
of an extensive marketing library. We have over 1000 product SKUs that are sold by a 50
person US-based sales force. Kelsey was entirely responsible for creating the marketing
material to support a very substantial nationwide sales effort. Her key strength was her
tremendous creativity – balanced by solid business-sense. The focus of our marketing effort is
our bi-annual catalog. This is a 100 page catalog – with each page featuring diverse products.
Working within a limited budget, she was able to single-handedly manage our catalog
production – coordinate product placement – write compelling product verbiage – and create
effective page designs. She truly mastered all facets of catalog development.
During her tenure as Marketing Director, we experienced a substantial increase in sales which
we largely attribute to dramatic improvements in the quality of our catalog and accompanying
marketing material (sales sheets / flyers / inserts etc.). Kelsey’s marketing skill made our sales
force far more effective.
Client Support – In this capacity, Kelsey demonstrated her ability to manage client
relationships. We work with leading museums, retailers and catalog companies. Kelsey
routinely participated in direct sales and product development. She designed and managed our
trade show booths – creating a stimulating environment to showcase our products. On other
occasions, she met with key American clients in China – seamlessly balancing her natural sales
skills with her impressive familiarity with Chinese culture. Inevitably, upon returning to the
States, clients would write me: “We just love Kelsey.”
I give a complete and enthusiastic endorsement of Kelsey. In my 20 years of running this
business, she is among my top 3 employees. She has an outstanding work ethic. Her
character and moral compass are impeccable. She is a quality person who is gifted with
