2. The type of media institution that would distribute my film are smaller
companies such as stealth Films, Cipher and TMC films. The reason I think
this is because my film is similar to ‘Kidulthood’ and their film was produced
by a smaller company. Both ‘Kidulthood’ and ‘Anonymous’ are similar
because they fit into the genre ‘teen drama’ the way they both represent their
characters are also very similar. Also adding to this I also think that my film
will be distributed in more independent cinemas, because its only got a small
demographic that it would be targeted at.
3. ‘Anonymous’ a similar features with the film Kidulthood, they don’t have the
same story line but is very similar in the sense that the same demographic
range group would want to watch it. This then means that the films that
produced ‘Kidulthood’ would be likely to also produce ‘Anonymous’. This is
because my film is likely to have a niche audience which means that the
companies are likely to be smaller with a smaller budget. Such as companies
like Warp Films because they are small and independent
4. Film4 Productions is a British film production company owned by Channel
Four Television Corporation. The company has been responsible for
backing a large number of films made in the UK. I think Film 4 would
produce my film because it is a film based on the British culture. The
different themes it explores may guarantee it a big range of audience being
they could make money from it. However, I still think it will need to be
distributed to various different companies. It still has a niche audience which
means that if it went into cinema’s it wouldn’t get a lot of views because it
only appeals to a niche audience.
