Create and balance 525 custodial account reconciliations (Master Servicing and Investor Reporting), 32 general ledger
accounts, corporate advances, P & I advances, collateral advances, fees clearing, and all revenue accounts.
 Created and implemented a way to prepare 525 custodial accounts in advance ($2.5 billion) ensuring the
reconciliations would be completed in a timely manner and in compliance with company policy and governmental
regulations.
 Established procedures to improve accuracy and time spent balancing general ledger accounts after month-end
close. High volume accounts were balanced weekly, and any incorrect entries were escalated to the appropriate
department. Resulted in less erroneous entries and smoother month-end reconciliations.
 Established procedures for acquiring bank statements electronically in order to expedite the time spent waiting for
the statements by mail. The new procedures decreased turnaround time from seven days to four.
 Helped maintain account reconciliations and general ledger policies and procedures ensuring bank compliance and
tool for future training.
 Helped to develop and implement a custodial reconciliation process to reduce the amount of hard copy reports, time
spent filing, time and cost of paper, storage expense, and manually entering reconciliation data. The improved
process reduced the number of employees needed to perform the job from five to two, reduced the need for paper
copies, and eliminated storage costs.
 Redesigned the custodial reconciliation process to incorporate multiple Microsoft Excel worksheets with formulas,
pivot tables, and fields linked to other worksheets. The redesign eliminated data errors, reduced the amount of time
spend on each reconciliation and the number of employees needed to perform the reconciliations.
 Helped to develop and implement the extraction of information from multiple data sources into Microsoft Access.
The data was formatted into Microsoft Excel and used to balance the monthly custodial reconciliations. The report
saved time and manpower.
 GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley general knowledge and studied concepts while getting BS in Business Accounting.
