Senior Manager – IT Marketing
Following its IPO in July 2014, GECapital Retail Finance became Synchrony Financial. Now a bank with
over $20BBin assets, we are still striving to grow at an extraordinary rate. The main thrust during this
next phase ofgrowth for me was to implement new products to enablea greatercustomer base, and to
bring additional processing in-house to reduce our relianceon external vendors and improve audit
controls.
 Working with vendorFIS, prepared to launch the new checking product and debit card (dual card
intended to replace ATMcards) in November of2014. Worked with all stakeholders (Operations,
Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Marketing, Surveillance) and vendor FISto design, configure, and make
coding changes and create and execute projectplans and schedules, and perform a full QA and
UAT cycle in preparation for release. Due to a change in business focus, all was made ready for
release, but not yet “turned on”.
 Insourced all customerprocessing that had been performed by our vendor including all
remittance items and paperaccount applications,checks,and correspondence. This involved
creation ofa secure room in our Atlanta RPC, the setup ofan application to scan and transmit
checks for processing (BCX), modifications to a scanning and indexing application (Kofax and
I4D), produce additional reporting (DataWarehouse) and modify a workflow system (Deposits
Workstation), and create and transmit a signature card file (from mailed customer welcome kits)
to update the coreplatform. I worked extensively with the internal ITteams (developers and
networking, desktop support,ITsecurity,data transmittal) as well as Operations to ensure a
smooth cut-over,manage expectations, and to hit our desired target date.
 Ensured all documentation was completed properly for regulatory compliance and uploaded to
appropriate libraries (SharePoint).

Senior Manager – IT Marketing
GECRB is a rapidly growing bank, looking to expand its digital presence and grow its deposit base through
innovative technology. Starting at $6BBin assets, it has grown to over $15BBat time of IPO in July 2014.
 Strategized and implemented the mobile channel for servicing ofbank customers and added
remote check deposit. Serving as Senior ITProject Managerand working with the vendors FIS
and CEDAR and many internal teams (eComm, MW, IT Security, Networking, DataWarehouse)
and business units (Marketing, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Legal,Operations, Call Center),
managing project plans and schedules while adhering to GECRB’s strict SDLC processes and
procedures;reviewed all documentation and uploaded to proper libraries. I partnered with the
business, writing test cases and managing a large UATeffort involving ITand business personnel,
providing timely updates and discussions with both the business and seniorleadership.
 Implemented the sub-brand ofOptimizer+plus throughout the customer-facing digital interfaces as
well as printed customer artifacts, again working with the vendors FISand CEDAR as well as The
Studio (internal) for artwork and Legal, Compliance,Marketing, and Branding.
Aurora Bank FSB (formerly Lehman Brothers Bank),New York,NY 2004-2013
Vice President, Head of Retail Banking IT 2009-2013
The Bank offers a variety ofproducts including Retail Banking Services with ATMs, Residential
Mortgages, and Residential Mortgage Servicing. I am responsiblefor all retail banking technology,
support, and deployment.
 Implemented a new core banking application and a suite ofancillary applications (all with vendor
FIS) reducing our yearly cost by 20%. There are over40 individual apps in supportof the
business which I administer. The platform has a sophisticated web services layer that allows
connectivity with many ofour third-party apps, FundTech GFX(Fed wire) being but one of them
 In the process ofimplementing EnterpriseBanker (ACI Worldwide), a Cash Management front-
end that will interface with the core. With Enterprise Banker in place, the Bank will realize a
savings ofover$2mm annually.
 Implemented an in-house IVR, rolled out Online Bill Pay and Mobile Banking for all our retail
customers increasing customer satisfaction by 40%
 Working with vendors to improvetheir productofferings, most notably as a member ofthe
Product Review Board for both CeB(Consumer e-Banking) and IBS Homepage (banking
dashboard)
 Responsible for contract and pricing negotiations with all my vendors

Responsible for overseeing the migration efforts as Aurora Bank FSB uncoupled from the Lehman
Brothers (now Barclays Capital) datacenter and shared application environments

 Worked with vendors to reestablish communication lines, and rebuild firewall rules with new IP
addresses
 Managed the team that rebuilt and rebranded Lehman Brothers Bank applications for use at
Aurora
 Migrated file servers, ftp servers, and routers from the Barclays to the Aurora environment

relationships and collaborated with the OTS (Office of Thrift Supervision) to garner a rating of‘1’ (highest)
for the most recent (2008) OTS ITexam. Implemented and reengineered key applications to strengthen
quality ofservice, reducecosts,and improve reliability. Managed multiple project managers and guided
multiple projects. Key playerin the integration ofacquired entities onto the Lehman network, and
assimilation with a host ofinternal systems.
 Delivered an in-house email blast platform,saving $215K/year
 Implemented an in-house Fed wire system (FundTech GFX) saving $1mm in fees annually
 Reengineeredthe Lehman Brothers Bank website and brought it in house for an annual savings of
$276K and removed all external development costs.
 Moved the Bank’s IVRin house, for an annual savings of$288K
 Managed process improvements with HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) software (Wolters
Kluwer) to reduce time for creation offiles for regulatory filing from 12 ½ hours to less than 7
minutes.
 Leading role in the cut-over ofCNL Commercial Finance (an acquisition) from its parent
company to be branded as LBSBF (Lehman Brother Small Business Finance), and recreated its
external website and new presencewithin Lehmanlive (Lehman’s intranet). Careful timing and
adept project management allowed the changeoverto occur seamlessly with no downtime

Responsible for all technology initiatives within the Equity Capital Markets division. Implemented
products to increaseproductivity, improve communication throughout the Equity Sales and Equity
Research organizations, and provided real-time reporting for top-tier management. Managed a 30+
person development and support team which was also responsiblefor all Equity e -Commerce portals,
including Global Equity Research, Equity Sales, Research Distribution,and Soft Dollar.
 Implemented EventDesk (Dealogic),a very powerful event management and calendaring
application that was used heavily by both Equity Research and Equity Sales as well as the Equity
Syndicate (for Road Shows), replacing a spreadsheet and document system
 Managed the team that designed and wrote ConferenceCreator to supportthe Equity Research
conferences. The application schedules and invites attendees and presenters for conferences
 Managed the development effort for the Capital Markets Pipeline application, which keeps track
of deals in various stages plus all the banking teams associated with them and their calendars, and
provides reports for the bankers
 Worked with Account Management to develop the Account Scorecardreportwhich became an
integral part ofthe Global CRM product (which I also implemented). The Account Scorecard
gives a very in-depth analysis ofproduction numbers, deals in which the account participated,

 Responsible for all the Equity e-Commerceportals. These represent nine Equity content
providers, among which is the Global Equity Research portal that receives over 1mm hits annually
 As global head ofthe Equities CRM effort as well as of the Soft Dollar business, saw to the
successful implementation ofthe CRM for Fixed Income and Equity Sales, Equity Research,and
several major projects for the Soft Dollar desk, including onlineinvoices and image storage

system was part ofan important suiteofanalytical tools for top-tiermanagement
 Worked with the e-Commerce group to implement Lehman’s participation in TheMarkets.com,
which was used as an execution portal for Syndicate deals in addition to i-Ticket

Now a bank with over $20BBin assets, we are still striving to grow at an extraordinary rate. The main thrust during this next phase ofgrowth for me was to implement new products to enablea greatercustomer base, and to bring additional processing in-house to reduce our relianceon external vendors and improve audit controls.  Working with vendorFIS, prepared to launch the new checking product and debit card (dual card intended to replace ATMcards) in November of2014. Worked with all stakeholders (Operations, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Marketing, Surveillance) and vendor FISto design, configure, and make coding changes and create and execute projectplans and schedules, and perform a full QA and UAT cycle in preparation for release. Due to a change in business focus, all was made ready for release, but not yet “turned on”.  Insourced all customerprocessing that had been performed by our vendor including all remittance items and paperaccount applications,checks,and correspondence. This involved creation ofa secure room in our Atlanta RPC, the setup ofan application to scan and transmit checks for processing (BCX), modifications to a scanning and indexing application (Kofax and I4D), produce additional reporting (DataWarehouse) and modify a workflow system (Deposits Workstation), and create and transmit a signature card file (from mailed customer welcome kits) to update the coreplatform. I worked extensively with the internal ITteams (developers and networking, desktop support,ITsecurity,data transmittal) as well as Operations to ensure a smooth cut-over,manage expectations, and to hit our desired target date.  Ensured all documentation was completed properly for regulatory compliance and uploaded to appropriate libraries (SharePoint).

Starting at $6BBin assets, it has grown to over $15BBat time of IPO in July 2014.  Strategized and implemented the mobile channel for servicing ofbank customers and added remote check deposit. Serving as Senior ITProject Managerand working with the vendors FIS and CEDAR and many internal teams (eComm, MW, IT Security, Networking, DataWarehouse) and business units (Marketing, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, Legal,Operations, Call Center), managing project plans and schedules while adhering to GECRB’s strict SDLC processes and procedures;reviewed all documentation and uploaded to proper libraries. I partnered with the business, writing test cases and managing a large UATeffort involving ITand business personnel, providing timely updates and discussions with both the business and seniorleadership.  Implemented the sub-brand ofOptimizer+plus throughout the customer-facing digital interfaces as well as printed customer artifacts, again working with the vendors FISand CEDAR as well as The Studio (internal) for artwork and Legal, Compliance,Marketing, and Branding. Aurora Bank FSB (formerly Lehman Brothers Bank),New York,NY 2004-2013 Vice President, Head of Retail Banking IT 2009-2013 The Bank offers a variety ofproducts including Retail Banking Services with ATMs, Residential Mortgages, and Residential Mortgage Servicing. I am responsiblefor all retail banking technology, support, and deployment.  Implemented a new core banking application and a suite ofancillary applications (all with vendor FIS) reducing our yearly cost by 20%. There are over40 individual apps in supportof the business which I administer. The platform has a sophisticated web services layer that allows connectivity with many ofour third-party apps, FundTech GFX(Fed wire) being but one of them  In the process ofimplementing EnterpriseBanker (ACI Worldwide), a Cash Management front- end that will interface with the core. Managed vendor relationships and collaborated with the OTS (Office of Thrift Supervision) to garner a rating of‘1’ (highest) for the most recent (2008) OTS ITexam. Implemented and reengineered key applications to strengthen quality ofservice, reducecosts,and improve reliability. Managed multiple project managers and guided multiple projects. Key playerin the integration ofacquired entities onto the Lehman network, and assimilation with a host ofinternal systems.  Delivered an in-house email blast platform,saving $215K/year  Implemented an in-house Fed wire system (FundTech GFX) saving $1mm in fees annually  Reengineeredthe Lehman Brothers Bank website and brought it in house for an annual savings of $276K and removed all external development costs.  Moved the Bank’s IVRin house, for an annual savings of$288K  Managed process improvements with HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) software (Wolters Kluwer) to reduce time for creation offiles for regulatory filing from 12 ½ hours to less than 7 minutes.  Leading role in the cut-over ofCNL Commercial Finance (an acquisition) from its parent company to be branded as LBSBF (Lehman Brother Small Business Finance), and recreated its external website and new presencewithin Lehmanlive (Lehman’s intranet).
