on difficult intubations. Able to identify patients with difficult airways using mallampatti
classification, thyromental distance, mouth opening, upper lip bite test and external
appearance. Well prepared to manage crisis at all times.
Confident and proficient in preoperative assessments, postoperative evaluations and pain
management in the post-anesthesia care unit. Continue to gain skills in the insertion of A-lines,
central lines, and peripheral nerve blocks while maintaining competency in oral and nasal
endotracheal intubations on adult and pediatric population, and administration of age-specific
safe anesthesia for neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient population. Vigilant in
identifying high risk patients for general and regional (spinal and epidural) anesthesia in order

patient, and surgery. Confident in maintaining stable hemodynamics under anesthesia in all
types of general and specialty surgeries including laparoscopic, robotic, abdominal,
gynaecological, obstetrical, orthopedic, and Trauma/ENT cases requiring nasal intubations and
NIM ETT intubations for thyroidectomies. Also have had a good exposure in administering
general anesthesia in major vascular cases such as carotid endarterectomies, thoracotomies,
2. and pneumonectomies requiring one lung ventilation. Being cross-trained at the primary site at
present to manage open-hearts and valvular heart repairs/replacements on and off pump.
Clinical rotations include a good exposure to general and specialty cases in urban and rural
settings including level 1 trauma centers, contributing significantly to a wide variety of exposure
as a resident anesthetist which will be an asset to my anesthesia practice.

Open-heart units: Close hemodynamic monitoring and management of adult post-operative
patients recovering from open-heart surgeries. Competent in efficiently titrating vasopressors
to maintain stable hemodynamics. Proficient in setting ventilator weaning parameters in order
to facilitate extubation. Exercises sound judgement in replacing blood products and intravenous
fluids based on patient hemodynamics (CVP, CO/CI, SVR) reflecting preload and afterload,
hourly blood loss, and postoperative labs.

surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, nurses, and patient families in providing the most efficient
care for the patient.
Skilled in identifying and managing postoperative complications related to life threatening
arrhythmias ,hypo/hypertension, elevated intracranial pressures, hypovolemia, hypothermia,
hypo/hyperventilation, aspiration or sepsis. Able to promptly identify an obstructing airway in
relation to postoperative anesthetic complications related to laryngospasm or bronchospasm,
and exercises critical thinking in maintaining a patent airway.
Assisted in a wide range of clinical procedures such as cardiac catherization, balloon-pump,
chest-tube insertions, pleural tapping, etc requiring various invasive/noninvasive monitoring.
