EQUIPMENT
• Managed, engineered, and purchased $3M mixing system, unique in industry, that allowed company
to far out pace competition in capability, quality and productivity with labor savings of $400K/yr. Used
VA/VE to engineer feed system.
• Managed and engineered new system of product application involving robotics, computers and a
small extruder that would result in entirely new product line for company. This device received patent
(#5358397) on which I was named one of three inventors. This resulted in $10M annual sales world
wide.

• Developed and specified laminating press system for composite armor used for mobile fighting
positions and hatches on armored security vehicles.
• Led movement of entire production operation including 12 extruders and associated equipment in
approximately three months without a production interruption. New layout and process flow were
based on lean principles.
• Inspired the creation and implementation of Compression Molding technology allowing L & L to
compete with injection molding due to quicker cycle time and reduced tool cost by 75%.
• Managed intensive mixing project that was first in industry. Project resulted in possibility of an entirely
new product line and saved millions of dollars in material cost.
• Engineered and designed material cramming device to push tacky material into extruder that
previously could not be done without great variable or fixed costs saving L & L Products at least
$50K/yr.
