Housekeeping items
 The purpose of this meeting is to take public comments on proposed
service changes effective Monday, September 1, 2014.
 Silence all cell phones.
 Be considerate of meeting attendees and COTA staff.
 When it is your turn to make a comment or ask a question about
COTA’s service changes, remain at your seat and we will call upon
you.
 Comments and questions are limited to two minutes per person.
 Participants are encouraged to complete comment cards.
 Ask one question at a time so the appropriate COTA staff member
may address your comment.

 An additional early A.M. trip may be added to the Westerville Park
& Ride.
 Line 2 E. Main (Weekday)
 Travel times may be modified to improve on-time performance.

 Travel times may be modified to improve on-time performance.
 Line 2 N. High (Weekday)
 To adjust for an increase in student ridership during the fall, travel
times and trip start times may be modified through OSU’s campus.

 COTA has partnered with the City of
New Albany to provide better
service to employees at the New
Albany Business Park and residents
of New Albany.
 New Park & Ride is located on
Forest Drive.
 Shuttles provided by City of New
Albany will meet COTA buses at the
new Park & Ride location and
circulate employees through the
business park.
 New Albany routes (38, 39 and 40)
are proposed for modification in
conjunction with this new Park &
Ride.

 Line 38 Easton (Weekday)
 Line 38 alignment may be
extended north to Sunbury Road
in conjunction with the proposed
realignment of Line 39 New
Albany. The extended alignment
would serve the Valley Quail loop
previously served by Line 39.
 Due to low ridership, the
Strawberry Farms portion of Line
38 may be discontinued.

 Line 39 New Albany (Weekday)
 Line 39 alignment may be modified. The proposed alignment
would start at the new New Albany Park & Ride on Forest
Drive. From the new Park & Ride, service will travel non-stop
between New Albany and downtown, terminating at COTA’s
South Terminal in downtown Columbus.

 Line 40 New Albany (Weekday)
 Line 40 alignment may be modified. The proposed alignment would
start at the COTA South Terminal, travel to the Easton Transit
Center, and then travel to COTA’s new Park & Ride on Forest
Drive. At the new Park & Ride location, shuttles provided by the
City of New Albany will transport passengers to their place of
employment within the New Albany Business Park.

to Morse Road. Service would
travel on Hamilton Road between
Broad Street and Morse Road at
a 30-minute frequency weekdays
and Saturdays, and a 60-minute
frequency on Sundays.

COTA update
 COTA.com website is being redesigned to be more friendly for mobile
users and to provide access to real-time bus arrival information.
 COTA’s South and North Terminals Downtown are undergoing
refurbishment to accommodate CNG buses.
 COTA is undertaking a Transit System Review
 First round of public meetings were held the week of March 17
 Second round of public meetings were held May 28 – June 4 to
review the proposed final bus network design
 Transit System Review will be complete September 2014

COTA update
 Cleveland Avenue Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Development:
 Project Development activities for the proposed BRT line are
continuing, which include conducting an environmental clearance
study and preliminary engineering/design.
 Three public meetings were conducted in April 2014.
 Next public meeting:
July 15th, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
