This article reviewed several faux pas  grads may inadvertantly make upon entering the workforce…FIRST: If you are using a company computer or phone, you must adhere to their rules!  Cell phone use may be restricted to breaks and misuse of cell phones or computers may result in termination.Tips when using a company email address or personal emails at work:NEVER forward anything for entertainment purposes (no youtube videos or pictures)
Only forward business related emails when appropriate and sparinglyDon’t log on to any personal pages, unless work related (FaceBook, blogs, MySpace)
Txting @ wrk…Realize that just because your boss may text during a meeting, doesn’t mean you shouldDon’t use texting acronyms (brb, ttyl, etc.)Still use appropriate grammarOnly text during business hours, just because it’s texting doesn’t mean you should text your boss at 10 pm questions about a report
Some other  gr8 cell phone tips…“Select an appropriate ring tone for your work environmentRecord a professional voicemail greetingTurn it off during meetings, even vibrating cell phones can be distractingAvoid laying it down on a table or desk, especially in front of clients.  Leave it in your briefcase, purse, holster.”
Review of ArticleOverall this article had several good tips that I hadn’t considered, such as ringtone selection and voicemail message.It was clear and easy to read.Didn’t give a lot of details, it could’ve expanded more on some of the points.
