  1. Welcome to Job Search Digest’s Annual Hedge Fund Compensation Report. I am David Kochanek, Publisher, JobSearchDigest.com. I am joined by some of the job search digest staff and we want to thank you for tuning in to hear the results of the survey. In addition to this broadcast, this and more detailed information is available to our Premium members and survey participants on our website. We will try to save some time at the end of the presentation to answer your questions. The Survey was designed to capture important compensation information directly from those involved in the hedge fund industry. After a year of market turmoil, we find that expectations are creeping up again. Last year we found that 58% of respondents were dissatisfied with their current compensation package, and there was little loyalty felt toward the firm. Things have now shifted again and 61% are not happy. On average, compensation increased… almost across the board. We’ll look at the data on a title by title and compare the US vs UK. We’re going to cover a lot of quantitative data here and, throughout, we’ll sprinkle in some qualitative information as well. In fact, we’ll see thoughts from some who participated in the survey. These thoughts are the stories behind the numbers.

Find the name of the job and the hiring manager . 2) On Monday, send the following in a FedEx 2Day box: Coffee cup (Starbucks works well) Customized cover letter Resume (Guerrilla Resume is best!) 3) Wednesday: Call and say, “Hi, I’m the person who sent you the coffee cup. I think you just got it.” Write, practice and use a script, in case you get voicemail Ask to meet for coffee, in person or by phone (they HAVE a cup  )
