They are offering the position of GM-Purchase based in Mumbai and reporting to the Head-Purchase. The position requires developing supplier relationships globally to drive cost efficiency, quality, and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate must have 15+ years of international procurement experience in the chemical or related industry, a strategic sourcing background, and expertise in ERP solutions like SAP.

Reporting to: Head-Purchase
Major Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain highly-effective supplier relationships on a global scale with the
aims of driving cost efficiency, high quality products and timely deliveries for the
assigned portfolio
• This is a global sourcing role and hence ideal / suitable candidate would be with an
international exposure. Should have sourcing experience from China / other countries.
International exposure is a must.
• Devise short, medium and long-term sourcing plans in establishing the strategic
partnership relationships with the key suppliers with the ultimate goal to assure
uncompromising quality and delivery at optimal cost
• Ensure regular and constructive data analysis, reports, reviews, evaluations and
appraisals in the entire supply chain process to facilitate management’s informed
decisions
• Provide creative solutions to complex problems by applying industry and customer
knowledge coupled with sound judgment
• Ensure close coordination with the Product Development, Quality and Business
Development teams to meet with the new product and client requirements
• Design and manage raw material and component procurement programs, including
vendor selection and evaluation
• Drive for proactive and continuous efforts to improve the existing modes in reducing the
lead times, costs with the ultimate goal to optimize the sourcing;
Desired Skills & Experience
Job Requirements
• Degree in Engineering is must and MBA preferred.
• Incumbent will need to add new vendors, save cost, should be aware of backward
engineering system.

2. • A minimum of 15years experience in procurement in chemical or related/Similar industry
such as FMCG and Pharmaceutical with strategic sourcing background.
• Excellent business and customer orientation, strategic thinker and drive for excellence.
• A sound knowledge of ERP solutions and contemporary supply chain practices, SAP is
must.
