• Partnering approaches and the framework utilized
promote high performance relationships with
trades, suppliers and manufacturers.
IMPROVEMENT
• Improvements are accomplished utilizing a
systematic process linked to goals & objectives.
• Selection of trade partners is a documented
process with key criteria for decision making.
• The value each trade partner would bring in
reaching goals is an important criteria.
COMMUNICATION
• Communication channels exist is all areas of the
organization that interact with trade partners.
• Communication is done in various ways including a
trade council.
DEVELOPMENT
• Documented development goals exist for each key
trade partner.
• Documented development goals are reviewed with
each key trade partner on a regular basis.
PERFORMANCE
• A process for determining trade partner
performance is well documented.
• Trade performance is tracked and recorded.
• The process of determining trade performance is
adhered to systematically.
• The performance system has a feedback system
which tells them when they are in compliance.
PREVENTION
• Trade partners are fully utilized in teams using data
to prevent problems.
• Trades communicate problems to promote
prevention and continual improvement.
CONTRIBUTION
• Trade partners participate in company business
planning.
• Trade partners participate in charitable activities.
• Trade partners lookout for the company while
conducting their business and doing their work.
INTEGRATION
• Trade partners participate in planning and
improvement activities with full representation of
the trade base.
