1. Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Having exposure in manufacturing process of Offset commercial printing.
• Having a good exposure in DIMS & Hi-flex software work flow process.
• Basic Planning of jobs on sheet-fed offset machines as well as Web offset, in terms of
working out paper requirement, run size, No. of ups, etc.
• Scheduling of jobs to ensure optimum utilization of available equipment & resources.
• Liaising with the Store & Purchase departments to check availability of required paper &
order if necessary.
• Liaising with the Sales Dept. & tracking of jobs through various stages of production to
ensure timely delivery.
• Liaising with the Sales & Pre-press departments to ensure that the specifications indicated
on the job order conform with the files supplied by the client.
• Monitoring consumption of paper on a monthly / yearly basis & suggest purchase patterns.
• Coordinating production of major print contracts for International publishing houses from
basic planning to generate daily status reports by close follow up with all departments of
production to monitor progress of the job.
• Post-production analysis of estimated paper consumption vs actual paper consumption for
major print contracts, thus enabling correction in the estimation process - if required.
• Analyzing customer complaints tacking relevant corrective actions as per quality plan.
• Lead production meetings and reviews to drive action and ensure that customer due dates are
achieved, with customers made aware of any potential slippage and revised dates.
• Coordinate with quality department to improve Quality and make quality related document.
Plan, execute and monitor production as per customer satisfaction on shop floor.
• Develop new process concept for production optimization and develop guideline for the
sequencing of manufacturing activities on the shop floor.
• Indentifying weakness in existing engineering practices / systems and upgrading through
various inputs.
• Managing system process and procedure to facilitate smooth functioning of overall process.
• Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills, with strong leadership qualities
and analytical power.
• Motivating teams in ensuring their career development and positive contribution to the
company. Imparting training to various personals there by insuring optimum performance.
• Determining the manpower requirement in accordance with the man power relationship and
production norms.
• Improve operational planning and processes to produce on-time line and avoid wastage.
• Ensure that all relevant health & safety and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to
and that working practices are safe and robust
• Contribute to the job costing process so we the team can work together to improve
profitability.
