Student Teaching: Longs Creek Elementary (NEISD)- Dual
Placement in Kindergarten and Second Grade
Judson ISD- Taught at Elolf Elementary for five years. Taught
kindergarten, first grade, and second grade.
NEISD- Taught at Stahl Elementary for seven years. I have
taught second grade and third grade. Currently I am the
third grade ESL teacher and grade level chair.

5. Current Information
Teacher of the Year 2014-2015
PTA Lifetime Award 2014-2015
Currently I am a third grade ESL teacher and team leader.
Lead sponsor of student council- This year I helped plan our Friendship Dance, Variety Show,
and several community service activities. We participated in Pasta for Pennies where we raised
over $3,000, Angel Tree project where our students bought and donated items to children in
need, and the Humane Society where we had a donation drive for needy animals. Previously
sponsor of the Robotics Club and We Care Community Service Club.
I am on the OHI committee to help build/boost morale, make goals, and make school
improvements. I am also on the social committee where we planned luncheons and retirement
parties.
Served on the math text book adoption.
Served as our campus’ volleyball coach and player. We won first place in our district
tournament for 2013-2014.
6. Skills
Technology- Microsoft: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Docs, Ipads
(Implement educational apps such as: Educreations, Videolicious,
Book Magic, and Trading Cards), SmartBoard, and integrate various
websites such as Istation, Brain Pop Jr., and Ticket to Read.
Testing- STAAR, TPRI, TAKS, OLSAT, Stanford, DRA, District Benchmarks,
and Fountas and Pinnell reading benchmarks.
Programs- Balanced Literacy, Four Blocks, Six Traits, Exemplars,
Investigations, 5E, Backwards by Design, Teach Like a Champion,
Champs, and SIOP.
7. Philosophy of Education
I believe that all children have the ability to learn.
It’s our job as an educator to determine if children
learn best visually, kinesthetically, or auditory. As an
educator we need to use differentiated instruction
to make sure all students’ educational needs and
goals are met.
8. I can lead and be a team player!
This was our third year playing against other schools in our
district. We won first place in our district tournament in 2014.
9. I have school spirit!

daughters. Chloe is five
