Assisted teachers with projects and curriculum. Prepared meals and provided teachers with their
breaks. Substituted for the lead teachers and led field trips. Provided daily cares for children ages
6 weeks to 5 years old. Daycare License Acquired. Paid Position.
Literacy Night at Russel Elementary Feb. 2017

Assisted in the setup of a night of literature focused games. Created and ran a booth highlighting
a high interest author. Displayed an array of books written and drawn by Raina Telgemeier.
Created an activity for parents and children to participate in, and over 60 people attended.
Collected completed comic book strips that parents and students created at my booth to give to
the school as examples of the fun and creativity had because of literacy night.
Practicum Work Spring 2016-Spring 2017
Assisted three different teachers, one each semester, with day-to-day classroom activities. Used
my experience in early childhood to assist a preschool teacher in projects and reading time with
her students. Used my emerging knowledge in teaching mathematics to aid a first-grade teacher
with her class during their math time and successfully taught a lesson. Aided a second-grade
teacher with writing and reading workshops and taught several workshop lessons. Unpaid
experience but required for classwork.

 Aiding a village in building sustainable gardens and a safe water supply.
