Jeffery David Whippo explains why and how to measure
motivation. He feels that morale and productivity suffer when
motivated employees go unrecognized and low performers are held
accountable. He further states that motivation is measured with the
help of human resource metrics.
As an expert in leadership development, Jeffery shares that
evaluation of performance offers a potentially powerful tool for
supervisors to gauge motivation, reinforce high performs and coach
those who lack motivation. Talking about human resource metrics, it
helps reduce implicit bias that is often seen in supervisor’s
assessment of their employees’ traits such as motivation and drive.
The assessment of employee motivation can be done with the use of
questionnaires that measure such variables as commitment to goals,
interest in promotion, job satisfaction and plan to remain with the
company. Whippo states that motivation is a complex concept but it
is also what drives loyalty. According to him, it refers to different
steps with unique aspects and a progressively strong impact on
loyalty and ultimately the profitability of the company.
Jeffery D Whippo further states that employee motivation comes
from having a sense of purpose, as well as enough support and
security to make daily work feel meaningful. Various organizations
are increasingly making their employee’s well being one of their top
priorities. Overall, the employee productivity motivates companies
to take better care of their workforce.

He feels that morale and productivity suffer when motivated employees go unrecognized and low performers are held accountable. He further states that motivation is measured with the help of human resource metrics. As an expert in leadership development, Jeffery shares that evaluation of performance offers a potentially powerful tool for supervisors to gauge motivation, reinforce high performs and coach those who lack motivation. Talking about human resource metrics, it helps reduce implicit bias that is often seen in supervisor’s assessment of their employees’ traits such as motivation and drive. The assessment of employee motivation can be done with the use of questionnaires that measure such variables as commitment to goals, interest in promotion, job satisfaction and plan to remain with the company. Whippo states that motivation is a complex concept but it is also what drives loyalty. According to him, it refers to different steps with unique aspects and a progressively strong impact on loyalty and ultimately the profitability of the company. Jeffery D Whippo further states that employee motivation comes from having a sense of purpose, as well as enough support and security to make daily work feel meaningful. Various organizations are increasingly making their employee’s well being one of their top priorities. Overall, the employee productivity motivates companies to take better care of their workforce.
