Eric Langhorst is an 8th grade American history teacher who uses technology like Skype and Gmail video chat to facilitate collaboration between his students at South Valley Junior High in Liberty, Missouri and other classes and experts. This allows his students to have author visits, virtually tour museums, and debate issues with other classes to develop 21st century skills in communication and collaboration beyond what is possible within the traditional classroom.
