INTRODUCTION 
Forward group of industries is a Pakistani multinational company that designs and 
manufactures sports equipment primary soccer balls. 
 
Company Name : Forward Group of industries(PVT) LTD. 
 
Established In : 1991 
 
Paid up Capital : 50 Million 
 
Manufacturing Capacity : 350,000 Balls per month and 50,0000 other sports 
products 
 
Employees: 6500 people including 1200 women 
Mr. Khawaja Masood Akhtar
HISTORY 
In 1991 Forward was established by Mr. Khawaja Masood Akhtar , 
a civil engineer who had been working in the football 
manufacturing industry for many years. 
During first year company manufactured only 50 footballs and 
maximum footballs production was 1000 balls per month at the 
year 1994. 
Till 2003 most of the production processes involved in 
producing hand-stitched balls were manual. And all other 
processes were not integrated 
A lot of time as well as cost were wasted in past. 
Performance was not so good.
PRESENT 
 From 1991 to 2014 the company earn lot of repute. They 
automated there processes and standardize them. 
 There are different departments in the company and all these 
departments are integrated and connected through ERP. 
 That ERP is managed by I.T manager and his team.
Distinction 
o It has produced balls for UEFA Champions 
League on several occasions, and is the 
official provider of balls for FIFA World Cup 
2014 
o The company has come into prominence for 
landing the contract of over 3,000 “Brazuca” 
balls will be used at the FIFA World Cup 2014 .
WHAT IS ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning.)? 
An ERP system is an attempt to integrate all functions across 
a company to a single computer system that can serve all 
those functions specific needs. 
 “Integration” is the key word for ERP implementation.
