ส่งเสริมทักษะด้านการอ่าน เรื่องสั้น ซึ่งทักษะ การอ่านเป็นหัวใจสาคัญในการแสวงหาความรู้จากตารา ข้อมูล
ข่าวสารต่างๆ ช่วยให้นักเรียนเข้าใจความหมาย ได้รับข้อมูลจากการอ่าน พร้อมทั้งได้เรียนรู้คาศัพท์
ภาษาอังกฤษ อันเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการพัฒนาสติปัญญา ความคิด อีกทั้งการอ่านช่วยขยายประสบการณ์ของ
ผู้อ่านสู่โลกกว้าง ได้รับรู้ข่าวสาร การเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคมโลก ตลอดจนช่วยให้ผู้อ่านมีพื้นฐานการคิด
วิเคราะห์ วิจารณ์ สถานการณ์ต่างๆ จนสามารถนาทักษะการอ่านไปใช้ประโยชน์ในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตที่
ได้ผลในระยะยาว
ในการจัดทาแบบฝึกเสริมทักษะการอ่าน การเรียนรู้คาศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ ตามแนวการสอน
ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร สาหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 เล่มที่ 1 เรื่อง Introductory Stories ได้
ลาดับขั้นตอนความยากง่าย เหมาะสมกับวัยและระดับชั้นของนักเรียน โดยในแบบฝึกเสริมทักษะการอ่าน
ประกอบด้วย แบบทดสอบก่อนเรียน ใบความรู้ ใบงาน และแบบทดสอบหลังเรียน
ผู้จัดทาหวังว่า แบบฝึกเสริมทักษะการอ่าน การเรียนรู้คาศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษ ตามแนว การสอน

สอนภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสาร เล่มที่ 1 เรื่อง Introductory Stories สาหรับนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5
กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้ภาษาต่างประเทศ (ภาษาอังกฤษ) ให้นักเรียนทราบอย่างละเอียด
2. ครูจัดเตรียมอุปกรณ์ต่าง ๆ ให้ครบถ้วน เพื่อให้มีความพร้อมในการจัดกิจกรรม การเรียนรู้
3. นักเรียนทาแบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนเพื่อประเมินความรู้พื้นฐานของนักเรียน

Topic is a discrete piece of content that is about a specific subject, has an
identifiable purpose, and can stand alone.
Topic คือ หัวเรื่อง หัวข้อ หรือชื่อเรื่อง เป็นสิ่งที่เป็นประเด็นรวม อาจเป็นคานาม หรือ กลุ่มคานาม
วลีสั้นๆ ประโยค มีความหมายครอบคลุมเรื่องราวทั้งหมดของข้อความ ความหมายไม่ควรกว้างหรือแคบเกินไป
การค้นหาหัวเรื่องทาได้โดยตั้งคาถามว่า เรื่องที่อ่านเกี่ยวกับเรื่องอะไร
Topic แบ่งออกได้เป็น 3 ชนิดใหญ่ ๆ คือ
1. Topic Noun หรือเรียกสั้นๆ ว่า Topic
2. Topic Idea
3. Topic Sentence
1. Topic Noun คือหัวข้อต้องเป็นคานามเท่านั้น วิธีหา Topic Noun ให้สังเกตคานามใดในเนื้อ
เรื่องที่มีการพูดถึงบ่อยครั้งที่สุด หรือคานามที่มีความถี่สูงสุดในเนื้อเรื่อง

2. Topic Idea มีลักษณะการนาเสนอเป็นนามวลี (Noun Phrase) Topic Idea ต่างกับ Topic
Noun ตรงที่ Topic Idea นั้นจะทาให้ของเขตของ Topic Noun นั้นแคบลง โดยชี้เฉพาะลงไปว่า เป็นอะไร
หรือด้านไหน โดยดาเนินการดังนี้
2.1 หาคานามในเนื้อเรื่องที่มีความถี่สูงสุด
2.2 หากริยาหรือคาคุณศัพท์ที่มีความถี่สูงสุด
2.3 รวมข้อ 1 และ 2
จากคุณสมบัติของ Topic Idea ว่าจะต้องเป็นนามวลี แต่ในหัวข้อที่ 2.2 นั้นเราได้มา คือ verb หรือ
adjective เราจะต้องแปลง verb หรือ adjective นั้นเป็นคานามเสียก่อนแล้วเอามารวมกัน
จากตัวอย่างที่ 4 คานามที่กล่าวถึงในเนื้อเรื่องมากที่สุด คือ plant กริยาที่มีความถี่สูงที่สุด คือ
grow จึงต้องแปลง verb ให้เป็น Noun ก่อน นั่นคือคานามของ grow คือ growth ดังนั้น

The sea is very deep in some places. Sometimes it is less deep. Some parts of the
sea are very shallow. But in some places it is very deep. There is one spot near Japan,
where the sea is 9 kilometers deep! The highest mountain in the world is about 9 kilometers
high. If that mountain were put into the sea at that place, there would be 2 kilometers of

จากตัวอย่างที่ 5 คานามที่มีความถี่สูงสุดในเรื่องก็คือ sea และ adjective ที่กล่าวถึงบ่อยครั้งที่สุดก็
คือ deep ดังนั้น ต้องเปลี่ยน deep ให้เป็นคานาม นั่นก็คือคาว่า depth แล้วนามารวมกัน

3. Topic Sentence มีชื่อเรียกอีกอย่างหนึ่งว่า Main Idea ดังนั้น ลักษณะในการนาเสนอจะต้อง
เป็นประโยคเท่านั้น จะเป็นนามหรือนามวลีไม่ได้

Some insects destroy plants and trees. Some destroy stored grain, flour and
meal. Some attack clothing and carpets. Others cause discomfort to animals by boring
into their skin, biting or stinging. Some insects are real pests but many are helpful, too.

จากตัวอย่างที่ 6 จะเห็นว่า Topic Noun คือ Insects , Topic Idea คือ Insects - good and
bad , Topic Sentence อยู่ในประโยคที่ 5 ของเรื่อง
Topic Sentence: Some insects are real pests but many are helpful, too.
