Coronavirus disease is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Presently, there is no registered treatment or vaccine for the disease.
Features, Evaluation and Treatment Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The WHO and other organizations have issued the following general recommendations:
Avoid close contact with subjects suffering from acute respiratory infections.
Wash your hands frequently, especially after contact with infected people or their environment.
Avoid unprotected contact with farm or wild animals.
People with symptoms of acute airway infection should keep their distance, cover coughs or sneezes with disposable tissues or clothes and wash their hands.
Strengthen, in particular, in emergency medicine departments, the application of strict hygiene measures for the prevention and control of infections.
Individuals that are immunocompromised should avoid public gatherings.
Patients and families should receive instruction to:
Avoid close contact with subjects suffering from acute respiratory infections.
Wash their hands frequently, especially after contact with sick people or their environment.
Avoid unprotected contact with farm or wild animals.
People with symptoms of acute airway infection should keep their distance, cover coughs or sneezes with disposable tissues or clothes and wash their hands.
Immunocompromised patients should avoid public exposure and public gatherings. If an immunocompromised individual must be in a closed space with multiple individuals present, such as a meeting in a small room; masks, gloves, and personal hygiene with antiseptic soap should be undertaken by those in close contact with the individual. In addition, prior room cleaning with antiseptic agents should be undertaken and performed before exposure. However, considering the danger involved to these individuals, exposure should be avoided unless a meeting, group event, etc. is a true emergency.
Strict personal hygiene measures are necessary for the prevention and control of this infection.

Corona viruses are a group of RNA viruses. In late December 2019, Patients with pneumonia with unknown etiology was get admitted in health care facilities in Wuhan, China, and resulted in a pandemic disease which affected more than 200 countries and responsible for 182,989 deaths world wide. The disease is officially named as Coronavirus Disease 2019 COVID 19, by WHO on February 11, 2020 . COVID 19 is a potential zoonotic disease with low to moderate estimated 2 -5 mortality rate. Currently, there is no definite treatment for COVID 19 although some trials are under investigation. Hence, appropriate use of PPE, regular hand hygiene, Respiratory and cough etiquettes, social distancing are some key elements to prevent the spread of disease. Prinsotel´s establishments have implemented health protocols for preventing COVID-19 that comply with the criteria and requirements set forth in UNE 0066-2:2020 Specifications, establishing the guidelines and recommendations for reducing the spread of coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
The SARS-Cov2 is highly pathogenic and has spread very rapidly.
Here we have tried to present an overview of the prevailing COVID-19 situation in terms of health impact, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, management, emergency responses and preparedness.
The research literature is growing rapidly and hopefully it will help in finding an effective vaccine (many in trials) and the best practice for the management and treatment of symptomatic cases.
The health, social and economic impacts would be high by this global killer.
We should be able to learn lessons and hopefully we will be more prepared for any such event in future.
A Perspective Approach of Community Medicine in Corona Virus Disease COVID 19ijtsrd
Coronavirus disease COVID 19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS CoV 2 coronavirus, which has spread rapidly across the world. The World Health Organization WHO proclaimed the COVID 19 outbreak a pandemic in March 2020. The pandemic has wreaked havoc on global health systems, as well as economic and social development. The rate of transmission is relatively high.As a result, regardless of vaccine history or previous infection, the CDC recommends that anyone with any signs or symptoms of COVID 19 be checked. Everyday Preventive Actions, as well as having the Covid 19 Vaccine when it is safe, will protect you and your loved ones. Here you will find: Fundamental information about Coronavirus or Covid-19. Facts and figures. Growth of the virus. Preventation from Corona Virus. Future protection against Covid-19.
COVID-19 is a virus caused by acute respiratory syndrome and also known as novel coronavirus or SARS, which was first discovered in late December 2019. It is an RNA virus that is related to influenza (H1N1) and can cause major respiratory issues in affected people. Diagnoses can vary depending on the type of infection and the severity of symptoms may be similar to other viral and bacterial infections.
COVID-19 is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus. 'CO' stands for corona, 'VI' for virus, and 'D' for disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as '2019 novel corona virus' or '2019-nCoV.
Advanced age, having comorbidities, and vitamin D deficiency are three most important reasons for increased vulnerability to COVID-19 and also worsen complications and increase the risk of death. Despite the vast amount of information available and lessons learned, many countries are still not fully utilizing these to manage secondary peaks of COVID-19 infection. Factors associated with worse COVID-19 prognosis include, older age, ethnicity, male sex, having comorbidities, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and smoking; all these are associate with vitamin D deficiency. COVID-19 symptomatology varies from mostly asymptomatic, to, up to 2% fatality.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Introduction to covid 19
1. What is a “ VIRUS” ?
• Virus is microscopic ,
obligate , intracellular
parasite.
• Morphologically, virus
particle is a protein
shell, in which the viral
genome is enclosed.
2. • The COVID-19 pandemic was first brought to the
attention of the World Health Organization (WHO) by
China when cases of pneumonia of unknown
etiology were reported in the city of Wuhan, Hubei
Province, on 31 December 2019. It soon became
apparent that this illness was highly transmissible
and that hospitals in Wuhan were overwhelmed with
cases of severe illness, some leading to death.
• On 5 January 2020, scientists in China identified the
cause of this illness as a novel coronavirus.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can
cause diseases in humans, including the common
cold and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
The genome sequence of the novel coronavirus
shows that it is distinct from the coronaviruses that
caused the SARS outbreak in 2003−2004 and the
Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) outbreak
which began in 2012.
• On 11 February 2020, the new coronavirus was
given the official name Severe Acute Respiratory
Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and the
disease caused by the virus was named COVID-19.
As the epidemic spread rapidly around the world,
mainly because of global travel, WHO declared the
epidemic to be a Public Health Emergency of
International Concern on 30 January 2020.
Viral Transmission
3.
4. • WHO transmission scenarios (the four “Cs”) are:
• No cases: countries with no known cases.
• Sporadic cases: countries with one or more cases,
imported or locally detected.
• Clusters of cases: countries experiencing clusters of
cases related in time, geographic location, or common
exposure.
• Community transmission: countries experiencing larger
outbreaks or sustained and pervasive local transmission.
