Amanda Mayo is an intermediate school teacher in Scarborough, Maine who teaches 5th grade literacy, writing, science, and social studies as well as 3rd grade math. She lives in Gorham, Maine with her husband Drew, their 2 year old daughter Fynnleigh, and 5 year old Shih Tzu Zoey. She is expecting another baby in March and enjoys books, baked goods, and running in her free time.

• Hi, my name is Amanda Mayo. I am :
• An intermediate school teacher in Scarborough, Maine. I also grew up in
Scarborough, so it has been an adventure becoming a coworker with
teachers I had as a child.
• A wife to my incredibly patient husband, Drew
• Mom to my 2 year old daughter, Fynnleigh, a baby of unknown gender due
in March and of course our 5 year old Shih Tzu, Zoey.
• A lover of books, baked goods, and running (in that order)

3. Where do I live? What do I teach?
• I live in Gorham, Maine
which is not far from
Portland and about a 20
minute drive to the school
I teach at.
• I teach 5th grade literacy, writing,
science, and social studies as well as
3rd grade math at the brand new
Wentworth Intermediate School.
• Our new building is amazing and I am
so excited to be in it this year after
teaching for the last 3 years in a very
unhealthy building.
