TECHNOLOGY AND
INTERACTIVE MEDIA
I learnt many interesting things in this topic, there are many
opinions of many authors and I agree with some of them and with
others I disagree. There are also some ideas and steps to use
technology and interactive media in a class.
To begin with, one of the articles mentions some things about
what interactive is. It is, in my own words, a device or gadget that
allows people to have nonverbal communication, and make them
respond to what they indicate.
One of the articles is focus on the use of those in children, that
article was the most interesting for me.
It also says that technology in children is essential, and it has to be
used in class with them as now, it is part of their lives. In my point of
view, it shouldn´t be seen in that way, the first idea is true because
nowadays children live with gadgets , but the second idea is not
so good for me, if children are so accustomed to the modern life
with all those devices, why should we always use them in class as
well?
In the article also says that there is not evidence to support the
belief that screen and interactive media are harmful for children,
but there are other authors who say that this new breakthrough
have caused damages in the behavior and relationship of them,
with this last opinion I completely agree.
There is one more opinion that caught my attention, it says that
just children with rich parents are able to have internet and
gadgets in their homes. I don´t really think that because I know
many people who don´t have a good income or economy level,
but they have all those things in home. The money is not an
obstacle anymore. That is what I have noticed.
Finally, I can say that the way how the article guide us to use
interactive and screen media correctly is very good since my
view, because it suggests everything balanced, use them, but do
it well.
