Need to have your math
book and pencil with you
today.
Have other homework or a
book to read with you.
Integer Assessment
Integer Assessment
• Take the front cover sheet and tear it off your test.
• Make sure your name and class period is on your
test.
Integer Assessment
• Look at the bottom of page 1.
– Addition (5) M____ NM____
– This shows if you mastered addition. You had to get 5
correct
– M___ means you mastered the standard.
– NM___ means you did not master the standard.
• Now look at your cover sheet:
– On the row for Adding Integers, put a check in the box
for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did
on that section.
– If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it
on this section.
Integer Assessment
• Look at the bottom of page 1.
– Subtraction(5) M____ NM____
– This shows if you mastered the subtraction standard
– M___ means you mastered the standard.
– NM___ means you did not master the standard.
• Now look at your cover sheet:
– On the row for Subtracting Integers, put a check in the
box for mastered or not mastered depending on how
you did on that section.
– If you mastered this section you will not have to retake
it.
Integer Assessment
• Look at the bottom of page 2.
– Multiplication (4) M____ NM____
– This shows whether you mastered multiplication.
– M___ means you mastered the standard.
– NM___ means you did not master the standard.
• Now look at your cover sheet:
– On the row for Multiplying Integers, put a check in the
box for mastered or not mastered depending on how
you did on that section.
– If you mastered this section you will not have to retake
Integer Assessment
• Look at the bottom of page 2.
– Dividing (3) M____ NM____
– This shows if you mastered division
– M___ means you mastered the standard.
– NM___ means you did not master the standard.
• Now look at your cover sheet:
– On the row for Dividing Integers, put a check in the box
for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did
on that section.
– If you mastered this section you will not have to retake
it.
Integer Assessment
• Look at the bottom of page 3.
– 8.AAB.1 (22 and 23 or 24) M____ NM____
– This mean to earn an A, you had to get both 22 and 23 correct OR
get number 24 correct.
– M___ means you mastered the standard.
– NM___ means you did not master the standard.
• Now look at your cover sheet:
– On the row for 8.AAB.1, put a check in the box for mastered or not
mastered depending on how you did on that section.
– If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it on
Monday. If you did not master this section, you will retake three
problems on Monday. The numbers will be different so
memorizing answers will not help you.
– You will only be allowed to retake the A work one more time.
(AAB stands for Above And Beyond)
How was my grade determined?
A: Student showed strong evidence of learning by mastering all
the standards and demonstrated superior knowledge of the
concepts by going above and beyond expectations. (all four integer
operations mastered plus the A work correct)
B: Student showed good evidence of learning by mastering all the
standards at the level of expectation. (4 out of 4: Mastered all four
addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations)
C: Student showed adequate evidence of learning by mastering
some standards at level of expectation. (3 mastered out of the 4)
D: Student showed inconsistent evidence of learning by mastering
very few standards at level of expectation. (2 masteredout of the
4)
IL: Student showed incomplete evidence of learning by mastering
little/no standards at level of expectation. Student needs further
opportunity for learning to take place. (1 or less mastered of the
4)
But I got the A work correct and I
don’t have an A.
Why is that?
And why is my grade circled and
highlighted?
• If you mastered three of the operations and got
the A work correct, your current grade is a C.
– A work is above and beyond and B means you have
mastered the standards. If you didn’t master the four
areas then you are not at an A or B level.
– What can you do to fix that?
• On Monday you will only have to retake the one operation you
didn’t master and you can go from a C to an A.
– Or a D to an A if you had two operations to master and you had the
A work correct.
– If this is the case for you, I circled and highlighted your
grade.
• Some of you have the A work correct and just need to master
an operation or two on Monday to still earn that A.
Integer Assessment
• Find your mistakes and fix them.
– You may work with your partner sitting next to you.
• Use your resources.
• Once you have your mistakes fixed, keep your test
at your desk.
– Study for your retake on Monday.
– Work on homework or read.
• The last part of class we will go over the correct
answers.
The tests are not to leave the room.
They need to be turned in before
everyone leaves.
Need to have your math
book and pencil with you
today.
Have other homework or a
book to read with you.
Lesson 10.5, For use with pages 548-552
1. Talk to your partner about the rules for:
• Adding integers
• Subtracting integers
• Multiplying integers
• Dividing integers
Assessment Corrections
• On the new assessment , you will do the
corresponding skill that you missed on the first
assessment.
– Example: If you didn’t master subtraction on the
first assessment, then you just need to do the
subtraction section on the new assessment.
• Still need to show your work for every
problem.
–Cross out the sections you do NOT have to
do.
• Put your first test under your desk.
Test Corrections
• On the new assessment, do the corresponding
section that you didn’t master on the first
assessment.
• When you are done, pick up your first test and
staple the new test to the top of the first test and
turn it in on the basket on the cart up front.
• Work on the rational number pre-test. Due
Tomorrow.
Everyone will NEED a calculator
tomorrow and everyday after.

Integer assessment corrections

  • 1. Need to have your math book and pencil with you today. Have other homework or a book to read with you.
  • 3. Integer Assessment • Take the front cover sheet and tear it off your test. • Make sure your name and class period is on your test.
  • 4. Integer Assessment • Look at the bottom of page 1. – Addition (5) M____ NM____ – This shows if you mastered addition. You had to get 5 correct – M___ means you mastered the standard. – NM___ means you did not master the standard. • Now look at your cover sheet: – On the row for Adding Integers, put a check in the box for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did on that section. – If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it on this section.
  • 5. Integer Assessment • Look at the bottom of page 1. – Subtraction(5) M____ NM____ – This shows if you mastered the subtraction standard – M___ means you mastered the standard. – NM___ means you did not master the standard. • Now look at your cover sheet: – On the row for Subtracting Integers, put a check in the box for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did on that section. – If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it.
  • 6. Integer Assessment • Look at the bottom of page 2. – Multiplication (4) M____ NM____ – This shows whether you mastered multiplication. – M___ means you mastered the standard. – NM___ means you did not master the standard. • Now look at your cover sheet: – On the row for Multiplying Integers, put a check in the box for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did on that section. – If you mastered this section you will not have to retake
  • 7. Integer Assessment • Look at the bottom of page 2. – Dividing (3) M____ NM____ – This shows if you mastered division – M___ means you mastered the standard. – NM___ means you did not master the standard. • Now look at your cover sheet: – On the row for Dividing Integers, put a check in the box for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did on that section. – If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it.
  • 8. Integer Assessment • Look at the bottom of page 3. – 8.AAB.1 (22 and 23 or 24) M____ NM____ – This mean to earn an A, you had to get both 22 and 23 correct OR get number 24 correct. – M___ means you mastered the standard. – NM___ means you did not master the standard. • Now look at your cover sheet: – On the row for 8.AAB.1, put a check in the box for mastered or not mastered depending on how you did on that section. – If you mastered this section you will not have to retake it on Monday. If you did not master this section, you will retake three problems on Monday. The numbers will be different so memorizing answers will not help you. – You will only be allowed to retake the A work one more time. (AAB stands for Above And Beyond)
  • 9. How was my grade determined?
  • 10. A: Student showed strong evidence of learning by mastering all the standards and demonstrated superior knowledge of the concepts by going above and beyond expectations. (all four integer operations mastered plus the A work correct) B: Student showed good evidence of learning by mastering all the standards at the level of expectation. (4 out of 4: Mastered all four addition, subtraction, multiplication and division operations) C: Student showed adequate evidence of learning by mastering some standards at level of expectation. (3 mastered out of the 4) D: Student showed inconsistent evidence of learning by mastering very few standards at level of expectation. (2 masteredout of the 4) IL: Student showed incomplete evidence of learning by mastering little/no standards at level of expectation. Student needs further opportunity for learning to take place. (1 or less mastered of the 4)
  • 11. But I got the A work correct and I don’t have an A. Why is that? And why is my grade circled and highlighted?
  • 12. • If you mastered three of the operations and got the A work correct, your current grade is a C. – A work is above and beyond and B means you have mastered the standards. If you didn’t master the four areas then you are not at an A or B level. – What can you do to fix that? • On Monday you will only have to retake the one operation you didn’t master and you can go from a C to an A. – Or a D to an A if you had two operations to master and you had the A work correct. – If this is the case for you, I circled and highlighted your grade. • Some of you have the A work correct and just need to master an operation or two on Monday to still earn that A.
  • 13. Integer Assessment • Find your mistakes and fix them. – You may work with your partner sitting next to you. • Use your resources. • Once you have your mistakes fixed, keep your test at your desk. – Study for your retake on Monday. – Work on homework or read. • The last part of class we will go over the correct answers.
  • 14. The tests are not to leave the room. They need to be turned in before everyone leaves.
  • 15. Need to have your math book and pencil with you today. Have other homework or a book to read with you.
  • 16. Lesson 10.5, For use with pages 548-552 1. Talk to your partner about the rules for: • Adding integers • Subtracting integers • Multiplying integers • Dividing integers
  • 17. Assessment Corrections • On the new assessment , you will do the corresponding skill that you missed on the first assessment. – Example: If you didn’t master subtraction on the first assessment, then you just need to do the subtraction section on the new assessment. • Still need to show your work for every problem. –Cross out the sections you do NOT have to do. • Put your first test under your desk.
  • 18. Test Corrections • On the new assessment, do the corresponding section that you didn’t master on the first assessment. • When you are done, pick up your first test and staple the new test to the top of the first test and turn it in on the basket on the cart up front. • Work on the rational number pre-test. Due Tomorrow. Everyone will NEED a calculator tomorrow and everyday after.
