“Engineering an Effective Team” training video and supplemental materials
were designed to help undergraduate engineers learn effective strategies for
group projects and participating on a project team.
Objectives
Students will learn effective, evidence-based strategies for:
 Team formation and contracting
 Team planning and goals
 Agenda creation and meeting facilitation
 Mid-point check-ins
 Effective team communication
 Handling interpersonal conflict
 Creating shared mental models
 Transfer of learning
