school, distributed in a main building and
several pavillions

5. History
The school is placed in
the lands of an old XVI
century convent, which
facade is still preserved. The
uses given to this building
from the XIX century
onwards have been diverse:
a convent, a barn, a primary
school,... and, finally, a
slaughterhouse, before
transforming it into what
nowadays it is: a beautiful
secondary school.
6. Students
The students in this school
come mainly from the old town
and several nearby villages.
There are also an increasing
number of foreign students
(19.5% in ESO, 6.5% in
Bachillerato, from 20 different
nationalities) of Eastern
European countries, South
America and Morocco..
In the present academic year, the number of registered students are
543 distributed in 21 forms:
1º ESO: 4 forms
2º ESO: 4 forms
3º ESO: 4 forms
4º ESO: 3 forms
1º de Bachillerato: 3 forms
2º de Bachillerato: 3 forms
7. Timetable
The bell rings at 8:15 and the first 3
lessons begin. All lessons last 55 minutes.
There is only a break,
at 11:00, which lasts
30 minutes.
After the break, we have three more lessons
till the bell rings again at 14:15 and we call
our school-day out .
