An input device sends information to a computer system for processing, and an output device reproduces or displays the results of that processing. Depending on the interaction, a device can be both, referred to as an input/output or I/O device.
For example, as you can see in the top half of the image, a keyboard sends electrical signals, which are received by the computer (input). Those signals are then interpreted by the computer and displayed on the monitor as text (output). In the lower half of the image, the computer sends data to a printer, which will print the data onto a piece of paper (output).
An input device can send data to another device, but it cannot receive data from another device. Examples of an input device include a computer keyboard and mouse, which can send data (input) to the computer, but they cannot receive or reproduce information (output) from the computer.
An output device can receive data from another device, but it cannot send data to another device. Examples of an output device include a computer monitor, projector, and speakers, which can receive data (output) from the computer, but they cannot send information (input) to the computer.

Im Zentrum der vorliegende Bachelorarbeit, steht die Frage nach einer möglichen Professionalisierung des neu entstandenen Berufsfeldes des Social Media Managers. Unter der Verwendung zweier soziologischer Teildisziplinen und dem Versuch diese zu vereinen, zielt diese schriftliche Ausarbeitung darauf ab eine zukünftige Entwicklung des Social Media Managements aufzuzeigen.
Die Arbeit ist in vier Kapitel unterteilt. Zunächst werden in Kapitel eins professionstheoretische Aspekte der Berufssoziologie analysiert und erläutert, um eine Aussage über konstituierende Merkmale eines Berufs und einer Profession geben zu können. Im Fokus steht hier vor
allem der Prozess der Professionalisierung, sozusagen der Weg bzw. die Verwandlung eines Berufs hin zu einer Profession. Kapitel zwei beinhaltet, in Anlehnung an Niklas Luhmann, eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Konstrukt der Systemtheorie. Es soll verdeutlicht werden, was genau Systeme sind, welche Systemtypen es gibt, aus was diese bestehen und wo sie existieren. In Kapitel drei wird dann auf das Phänomen Social Media und im speziellen auf das Berufsfeld des Managements sozialer Medien innerhalb von Unternehmen eingegangen um in Kapitel vier, unter Anwendung der beiden soziologischen Theoriengebilde, der Frage nach der Professionalisierung des Social Media Managements eine Argumentation hinsichtlich den Pros und Contras zu erarbeiten.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The tablet surface represents the display. Small stick that can be moved in any direction within a fixed socket. Key Features/Remarks Used for manipulating objects and gesturing. Now being studied for virtual environments. The direction that the pedal is moved in causes a cursor on the screen to move correspondingly. Useful when hands are otherwise occupied or for physically challenged users. The receiving device places the position and movement of the transmitting device in space. Facial gestures may be used in combination with speech. Movement of a stylus across a surface causes a cursor to move across the screen or a line to be drawn. Very good for graphical input.
